Lunch is eaten. Now I am working on another document. Still very tired, looking forward to the weekend and some sleep.

Re: Flexible Friday
Hello dear ladies,
The 13th is a good day for me, it is the 25th anniversary for DH and I. We actually got married on a Monday 25 years ago.
Sent the last of the taxes out this morning!
Went out for Chinese with DH for our anniversary, saw an old friend and her DH. We visited and had lots of laughs. DH got me a silver and gold dove necklace and I got both of us silver engraved pinkie rings. They are engraved:Love conquers all.
Okay: yes it is the talk of town here about the possible storms coming tomorrow. DH was thinking I 'd call off work tomorrow if it truly heads our way. Want to be with family if a bad storm hits. Will just have to see.
Harriet, hope neck feels better. Is your Ddad's truck still being driven? If not could you drop the insurance and just black tag it,( meaning it is off the road for now)? But if it's still being used, even for him just to ride in, you'd have to keep insurance on it.
Going to rest a bit and then get ready for work.
Wonderful Friday for all!

Re: Flexible Friday
"PDS" designation is one I haven't heard before. Yikes.
I am so glad OKay is battened down. Hope others see nothing at all and even OKay, Kally and Sadie's area warning is... ... dare I say it?.... overblown. (I'm sorry, I'm sorry, it just came to me and I had to type it!) May the real situation be as trivial as my pun!!!!
Dove, I hope your arm is better soon. Do you suppose you pulled a muscle, or is it bruising?
Well, I picked up the absolutely geeeooorgeous pot pie - huge, domed, with one of the prettiest lattice crusts I've ever seen and a decorative crust edging, and including a paper doily to place under it when displayed on the table. Gee! Explanation of an egg wash before baking and instructions. Now if it will just taste good, I may have finally found a helpful go-to place for the take-and-bake concept. The concept has supposedly been popular at other areas around the country but never really came here - I remember Twins' Mom found one of those places where you went in and helped prepare your own multiple meals, I believe? I think I have that right. Even that type of place never took off around here.
Now the question is, who will eat it with us? Sigh. HRH says next time dd32 says they are coming we buy nothing until we see the whites of their eyes. lol But that won't work, you have to get some planning done in advance.
dstepdil had already made other plans before I could get in touch with her, too. Sigh. So now I'm right back to not having help at the other house. But maybe dd13 and I can spend just a half-hour at a time over weekdays if HRH can see his way clear to be available here.

Yikes, OKay! Guess I'd better start paying attention. I knew severe weather was possible tomorrow, but I really have't paid much attention. Thanks for the heads-up! So sorry to hear about your former co-worker! (((hugs)))
Harriet, the "PDS" designation is a fairly recent one, I believe. When "they" say PDS, we usually do have serious weather. One more level of preparedness, I guess.
I'm having a slow day. I've been responding to all of you in my head, but don't have the energy to do anything else.

We are in the clear from the bad weather. Take care Sadie & Kally!!
Harriet - hope that pot pie is as tasty as it looks.
DSon/DDIL have used a service off/on over the years where they order from monthly menu plan and it is delivered each afternoon to their door. It was excellent food, portion controlled and the freshness is given high marks. The cost was better than ordering take out/delivery daily and the nutritional value of the food is definitely better than fast food. The service has been a great option for them however everyone agrees that nothing beats home cooking.

Tomorrow we are expecting high winds. Guess I won't be taking DD10 to the amusement park. Darnit! She has a birthday party at 330 and I have to figure out what we are doing before then. Crafts maybe? I don't want her to watch movies all day.

Found an egg wash tablefor getting the effect you want from different-ingredient egg washes. I'll let you know if my "recipe" does what I expect. Indiana and other experienced pie bakers are probably amused that I am so easily amused.
HRH and dstepson are mowing both lawns in a marathon session.

Re: Flexible Friday
This is the first time I've seen the PDS weather description used. This is a bit unusual weather forecast for tomorrow - it is only the 2nd time EVER they have issued such a severe warning. The first time they issued it, the storms produced over 100 tornadoes (April 2006).
We ate out tonight at local resturant. I just couldn't GMAT to get food on the table. Eating out was fun because we knew almost everyone that was there and/or enter while we were eating. It turned into a spontaneous reunion with hugs and greetings of joy and shared sorrow. Some of us made plans to meet Monday and go to funeral together.
