Back again.

Feeling not quite so achey. Still taking it easy for today.

Can I pick Kathy Bates to play me? She's such a "real woman" to me. Not trying to look 20 or 30 something, looks like she's happy in her own skin.

LucyLee, I had that Farrah hair too. Loved those years. My hair is still long and thick.

Harriet, toll roads are the norm here. I find Oklahoma to be a bit sneaky especially to outsiders traveling through. You can be traveling on a free road and then seamlessly you are on a toll road. Yes there are signs warning toll road ahead but I think they are missed. Don't know you have to pay until you take an exit and then if you don't have the small toll they are asking, it is a big 90 dollar fine  . We have pike passes for our vehicles which beeps whenever you are on a turnpike and deduct from a fund you have hooked up to your bank account.

Think I will take a nap. Yeah I know what am I tired from.

Just a rest day for me until work.

Well, dd13 instantly said Francis Bavier (Aunt Bee). But HRH says no, don't count the vote because she sees me through a child's eyes. (I think it's sweet, though.)

He says do count his vote for Yvonne DeCarlo (in the Lily Munster years), to be able to pull off the right homemaking attitude. (I'm remembering the set lips, spoon held in the air fighting back Spot, one perpetually raised eyebrow ... ... sure, I see that.) "Herman Munster, you stop that right now!" "You think you're the only one who works hard? How would you like to have to clean nine rooms and a dungeon every day?"

Michael Learned is a sweet thought. I mix her up with Karen Grassle of Little House on the Prairie.

We've "seen" a few villagers recently: I think Grassle in recent photos could definitely play Lilac, and Lynlee looks like a Sally Field type. We'd have to have auditions, though - they may not be able to handle the parts.

Bates is a power-actress for sure, Sadie.

HRH also says to reassure the ladies that although he is no longer playable by The Young Elvis, he remains in the Kenny Rogers typecast and hasn't yet turned into the image of his eventual look-a-like, Santa Claus. However, he anticipates his movie will not have us in it, because of all the explosions and car-jumping.

Dove and sherinjoy both need actresses who can play very nurturing women. Learned kinda looks Sunny-ish in recent photos. If she dyed her hair brown, she might do Harmony justice. She's played that hard-worker role!

Well, this is all interesting. I see what we've all done, picked actresses by the roles they play, not by their real life personalities. I'm surprised noone picked Julie Andrews. As for the one I picked (what was her name again?) she is much too young to be me. I just liked the role.

I actually can pick more literary characters than actresses. I would like to be Marmee in Little Women. Or Cynthia in Mitford. Couldn't Eddie (Dr. Crane's dog) be stand in for Jake? I think Olyvia is perfect for Lucy, I'd thought of her but couldn't think of her name.

It is raining cats and dogs here again. Off and on all day. Hard tropical rains from that system. I don't know if this is the reason, but I have a "pressure" headache which seems to be getting worse. I've taken something.

Been out twice for errands. Once to the tile store. Once to the paint store. Scheduling problems. DH is not happy.

We don't have any toll roads around here. There is a big one down south a ways. There are some up in Tampa. There are scads of them all over Orlando, and if one wants to get someplace in a reasonable amount of time with no traffic jams we must take them.

Must add in Kally and Cathyy too. Harmony chose Kristin Bell, I think. Wow, I am really getting into this!

Who is Olyvia, Harmony?

I love the mother on Little House... ooohhh... I wish I could be like her, or Olivia Walton... or is that who you were talking about, Harmony? (I don't know how they spelled it.) Nah... I will NEVER have the wisdom and patience of Olivia Walton.
Sadly, Roseann probably fits my attitude more, but I really can't stand her. * sigh *
I'll just be satisfied w/Vivien Leigh for the appearance sake (although she had those beautiful green eyes; mine are brown)
and I will continue to strive for Melanie, rather than Scarlett, as a role model.

Aunt Bee is a great mother-figure, but much too old for you, Harriet!

I must find the ironing board. :(
Tomorrow is another day.

OK, I'll have to join in the casting! Sadie beat me to the punch with Kathy Bates, so I'll have to keep thinking. People used to say I resembled Liza Minnelli, when we were both much younger and thinner....... Hmmm.

Good afternoon! It's still cloudy here after our showers overnight, but with rays of sun peeking through.

My thoughts are jumping all over today after a restless night of sleep. Ds#3 called Wednesday to talk about our plans for our visit with them this summer. So many weeks were out because of their scheduled plans for the summer. We narrowed it down to the middle of July, so this morning I made reservations for our airflight for second and third weeks. Got a confirmation email back right away. Now I have two weeks to get get myself together to organize packing, cleaning, etc.

Dsons#2 and 3 talk between themselves quite often regarding dh and I. I think they think we are at that age where they need to "keep an eye on us" -- not that I think we need it that much. Still it is nice to think they care enough to be concerned about us. They didn't think we should drive 16 hours or even split it into two day with an overnight motel stop; therefore the air flight! I think we would be fine with two days, but our car is 11 years old, running fine but never know what could happen on the road.

Wow, Dee, MedCo again!
Safe travels, Kathryn. Enjoy your vacation.
Indiana, sending happy thoughts for your and dh's anniversary day. Maybe that's why you were dreaming of him.
I think I saw it was Mystery & dh anniversary yesterday. Miss her posting too.

The audition list sounds great....a real star-studded cast! I think Harmony mentioned Kristen Bell. I picked Audrey Hepburn mostly because of her personality and the roles she played in My Fair Lady and Charades.

I've been looking out our back window while typing. Our ixora bush growing by the back corner of the house never got trimmed this winter and is now grown as tall as our roof. It is just loaded with blooms and the butterflies love it. I've seen several different kinds this afternoon.

It's time I guess to start my vacation list...>>>>

I have to (really) laugh because when people see pictures of me (in my youth) they say, "Elizabeth Taylor". What happened? To me that is.......

Posted that 15 minutes ago and then cuop. We are a chatty bunch of late! :D
You would be very pleased, Harriet, to see yourself as we see you!

Good afternoon everyone! DD10 is back with XDH and I survived my time with her. Last night she wanted to eat at Arby's, so I have certainly had my salt quota for the week (year?). Then we went to the library, where she looked for monster books and I got some mysteries. I have had lunch with my friends today and one returned the sewing bag I had left at her house Saturday. Thank goodness, I can't function without a sewing bag and project! I need to make a phone call and send some info to a friend. Since DD has Girl Scout camp this weekend, I have a child-free Saturday. I already have a child-free friend who is going to have lunch with me. This weekend, I need to let Lara out of the sewing room and into the rest of the house. I can't have her still separated while I am on my cruise. Another thing I must do this weekend is decide what I need to pack for the cruise. YIKES!!! It's almost here!!!
