All the mentions of our National Holidays -Canada Day and 4th of July celebrations puts me in a "marching" mood today. So I'm marching off to the Monday routines. BBL Of course there was also talk of the 'marching' tunes as well.
Bright and sunny here today. Warmth is supposed to continue.
I need to quickly s2s and get up to the laundry room while it's still available. I'm sure I'm not the only one who has waited until today to do their laundry. Have to, have to, have to do at least a load of 'whites' today. DH is down to his last pair of underwear -now WHY do we call it a pair when it's only one. Back to the 'pair' thing, Kathryn.
Just filled the containers for the week for our meds and vitamins. Then tried to note when meds are due. I had them so all of them were due every 90 days - but with DH's changes in meds they are all over the calendar. I'm hoping I can get them a little closer as the year progresses. It doesn't help that some have been halved and some have been doubled since the scripts were written.
DH is trying to finish the leaky valve on our waste water tank so I have to hike across the fairgrounds for the necessary. It is good that I can take a shower in the MH yet as my bed hair would scare anyone. He is waiting for the hardware store to open to get a different kind of caulk.
Next up breakfast.

I'm marching as I seek to become more efficient at daily doings. Guarding and focusing my time because I'm easily sidetracked
Today's "extra" time will be spent preparing our home to welcome DSon and family later this week. They will camp out in the boys bedroom so I need to arraign that rooms furniture to make better spot available for setting up playpen (DGD1 sleeping place). Also go through each room with "eyes/mind of 1 year old" to relocate unnecessary temptations
Wonder of wonders, we got a very little rain in the night, and about 5 minutes of decent rain just now. It may be that it only leaves things more humid later in the day, but the high on the mtn today is only supposed to be around 90 degrees.
Cleaning lady is supposed to be here today, I've given up cleaning up ahead of her, there's so much clutter unpacked and boxes to pack. At least cooler temps mean I won't worry about putting stuff in the POD.
Need to get busy....
-breakfast
-meds, me and ddogs
-straighten family room
-clear kitchen counters
-fold a lol

One reason I'm having trouble getting stuff done is interruptions from DH. Mortgage company (for new mortgage) requests info from him, he doesn't do over the weekend, then calls me on Monday a.m. to scan and send to him. Likewise, I had two sets of paperwork on Friday to print, sign, scan and send back to him.
My computer is also overheating. I downloaded a "weather bug" for my desktop that is supposed to reflect the temp at the nearby elementary school that dkids went to. Interesting that it says high today is to be 97, not 90.
That round is done. Wondering where to start now, although I am still in pajamas.
Today is my kids 20th birthday. Haven't heard much at all from dd at camp.

Guess I will march around the yard behind the lawn mower. With the extreme heat that we have been having, it is growing slower.
This afternoon I am watching dgd14+months. Dd2 has a friend in town for a few days and they are taking their kids swimming. Dd2 and dd1 took the kids swimming a few weeks ago and the little one hated it. So I had told dd2 that I would watch her anytime she wants to take the others swimming.
What a great day! Trash was picked up...that's always a thrill. Feels like a fresh start. Don't I sound easy to please?
Dee--Other than the two leg holes, I can't imagine why...DD is a French teacher and always trying to convince her students that English is a hard language to learn.
MT--You reminded me that I need to refill one of DH's two scripts.
OKay--Have fun preparing for your family visit.
Happy Birthday to Twin's twins!!
Lilac--I'll be marching along with you. The little bit of yard we have (besides woods) needs some attention.
We were supposed to hit 107 yesterday (and I can't tell you how foreign that concept was to this area - just a fantasy-sounding number, really). We were at 104 and 105 and climbing, according to 2 weather reporting places, when the first rains hit and brought the temp down. 105 is as high as we count here - that's just the limit as far as my memory goes and evidently I'm correct according to newscasters I've heard. 105 is a shocker number, but it's never been expected and always come as a surprise, and yesterday it was not only expected, but we were just lucky not to surpass it. The town in which mamapiano used to visit her son went above 107 into fantasy land, with some dispute now about how high it really was so I won't report those fainting-numbers, and it's north of me. Let's just say Arizona-hot.
Do those of you on facebook still hear from mamapiano, btw?
We will have a little girl for a sleepover two nights this week, so today's emphasis is on dd13's room.
Dilemma: Dcleaning lady would probably bring a truck and carry off all of our garage sale leftovers for her own garage sale later in the summer, but dh doesn't want me to give it to her. I feel a lot of sympathy for her - she's a hard worker, helps with her mother who is dying and I'd just let me pick it up....but dh doesn't want to do that. I wish I could.
Have packed up several more boxes.
