Same title for me as well today. Our minds, thoughts and prayers are all with Okay today. What a superb village to live in as we go through the many trials of life. May this be a permanent (good) solution for LO!

I did have a safe trip last night. Got to DS-R's about 5 minutes after they pulled in. DS was just backing the truck/trailer back in as I pulled up. We came home a little different route as I had seen 4 deer on the way to his house. The road we came back is sometimes a little easier in the dark -we still saw at least 2 deer then. I missed one (figuratively and literally) that dh saw standing by the edge of the road. It's really dangerous to drive around here at night because of the deer population -especially so late. We fell into bed at 12:31.

I was having issues with the pads of my right index & middle finger. They are itching to the point of pain. I'm sure it's a pinched nerve. Took a benadryl hoping that would help. Finally fell asleep until just before 6. Went into the recliner with intense itching & finally fell back asleep. Awoke about 9 but absolutely could not get my eyes opened. Finally forced myself up and at 'em. Had plans to do laundry 1st thing this morning. Guess that will wait until afternoon now.

Need to ask MT just what is it that you use for internet when you're on the road?

I will be checking back often today to see if we've any word from Okay. Oh how I'm praying that things go completely in their favor. May she (& her whole family) be blessed with peace today.

Now begins the chore of putting everything away that dh brought home. Then to look at our home with "guests coming" eyes. :?

Will be praying, OK.

Hiya Kbeans!

Got up to see the girls off, then went back to bed until about 8:45. I guess I was tired. Late start to my day, though.

5x5
1. laundry
2. groc. store
3. jog
4. Hebrew translation
5. some other sundry item from my week list

Heb. class is at 5:15. HS curriculum night is at 7 pm, well officially at 6 but we'll skip the hoopla at the beginning. The amount of new info we gain from the meetings at the beginning is not worth the time, esp. w/ Hebrew finishing at 6:15 and who knows when dh will be getting home.

When I read that Okays dson showed up early. I just burst into tears. Then when I seen that Kbeans had posted just to let Okay know that she was thinking of them and praying for them, that turned the tears into sobs. It has been a week since I have posted but I stayed cuop and Okay has been in my thoughts and prayers. I have been thinking that we have so many that read the posts and don't post, that means there are many, many people caring and praying for her. And that makes my heart happy. I am praying that the trial can go on and not be delayed again. Our dOkay needs to be able to get on with her life.

Some Geek talk for Dee - the rest of you can listen in if you want.

I use a Palm Pixi (don't think they make them anymore) that makes a WIFI hot spot for 5 devices (my laptop, DH laptop, my Kindle, his nook and the printer). A lot of our friends are using an App on their Droids called Foxfi. It is a free app and turns your Droid into a hot spot. All of this is on Verizon.

We even have our own Verizon Store - hehe. A store in Indianapolis realized how many RVers there were out here that wanted become connected. So they started attending our Rallies and Conventions and selling directly to us. I can give you their number if you want it. But I think you said you have AT&T.

There are a number of ways one can connect - some plug into the laptop via USB ports, some stand along and some are also phones.

Hope this didn't confuse you too much.

We are back from the local cafe and breakfast. Next up I have to put up our meds for the week. After that, who knows. Today is a free day.

Lilac, how does it feel to be considering your first autumn and winter in the new house? I don't remember if you usually have a big Thanksgiving but it certainly would be fun to plan for Thanksgiving in all new surroundings.

This morning, HRH said, "There comes the winter. I feel it starting across the yard right now." And sure enough we've had that kind of stiff, serious wind that let's you know it's pushing the warmth out ahead of it and not giving in!

Kbeans! how are the children (who are bound to be older than the ages I am thinking)?

All best clear-thinking wisdom wished for those around OKay today.

I've gotten the Morning Daily Card done well, with some extra mopping and trash collecting. Have had half a large apple for breakfast. Lucy and Ricky are on board ship in the LR, lol, so the noises are happy and excitable. I may try a little sunshine today as I missed it yesterday.

Today is also Desk Day for my ddad's household. Declutter needs to center around the Kidney Found pick-up tomorrow.

Only three months from tomorrow will be Christmas Eve, right?

Well, you're the first one to put it in those calendar terms, lucylee! Yes, there's a holiday planning thread in Creative Home. I won't tell you which villagers among us are already well started on cards! (hint: it is not yours truly, but you already knew that for sure, didn't you?) Sorry to hear the coyotes are getting so brazen in your area, too. I don't know if any studies have been done on how humans react to new carnivore-predators in their area, but I'm pretty sure there's an ALERT lightbulb  that goes on in our heads. Nancy could probably relate to that right now in triplicate.

Ah, good ol IloveLucy! I put that on sometimes. Don't you just love their aprons?

OKay, you are much on my mind today.

Harriet, I'm glad noone was hurt in the church parking lot. However, when I had a bumper dent I was shocked just how expensive it was to fix. Body shops told me they are no longer allowed to bang out a dent and rechrome, something about EPA environmental laws on rechroming. I hope you don't run into something similar.

Yesterday I made it to church but decided to attend the 60+ sunday school during that hour instead. It was easier than standing 10+ minutes through singing and prayers, and getting up for the reading and fighting the crowds in and out. DH told me to attend the next service but I went home instead and apparently missed something important announcement. :o .

Today I am working on this sea of papers around here. I absolutely cannot live like this any more. It is stressful looking at it all. It shows how little I'm able to do around here. Yesterday I was exhausted just from going out to church and I slept all afternoon...

Oh, Ivy reminded me we see KBeans has been here. Please come back, we miss you.

Thanks, MT. I'm a lot less confused than I would have been a month ago. Think I'm steadily moving toward my pwn 'hot spot'. I do have A T & T so may just go to one of their stores (soon, sooner, soonest) nearby and see what they offer. Know we would pay more in a year than through our cable company. But I have to pay to have it turned off for the winter and then again to have it turned on -so I'm probably paying close to $450/yr now.

Just got off the phone after a 50 minute conversation with dd in FL. Haven't talked or texted with her since last Friday night. She's home sick -on a day that she really hated to miss work and her after school tutoring job. It's a really light day for her at school -the ONLY one.

Sunny & Harmony might appreciate this one: DD said that after so much rain, she went into their bathroom to get her folded shorts the other day at 5:30am. Picked them up and realized she was getting bit. Fire ants had found their way under the house, under the tub and found 1 small hole in the caulking and were EVERYWHERE! She was bitten in several places on her feet/legs/torso. Got her dh up and they were spraying, vacuuming, etc, etc. First time they've invaded INSIDE! All over FL (and I'm sure any southern states) you see their mounds absolutely everywhere. They're always 'treating'. Of course most say all they do is move their location.

Praying hard here for Okay and family this morning.

It was so good to see Kbean posting, albeit briefly. We do miss you and hope you'll stop by more often.

I can't competently participate in the geek discussion, but dh has some little gadget on his laptop, stuck into a USB port (I think), that allows him to get internet connection wherever he is. I think he even uses it while flying; he emails me once in a while from an airplane. When we road trip anywhere, he can be online constantly, unless we are in a very remote region; for example, I think connections are iffy in areas of N. Michigan UP. Not sure if he uses ATT or Verizon or what. I'm sorry I can't remember the name of the device; it has a flashing blue light. Maybe a bluetooth something or other? Or maybe it is just the same gadget MT is talking about, though I don't think it allows other laptops to connect -- but I'm not sure.

Speaking of dh, he is at home this morning. He was up until 1 a.m. working. He'll go in for meetings all afternoon -- not his favorite activity. We still need to connect (face-to-face) at some point so I can get his fall travels on my calendar. I think his Boston-Toronto trip won't work for me to join him after all, but there are other travels that might work. I'd like to go visit my family for a long weekend by myself this fall and need to figure out when to schedule that. Then, there are the holidays. . . My family would prefer to stay home for both Tgiving and Cmas, but I think it would bless my parents to see them for at least one of those holidays.

I'm off to finish the a.m. routine and then I'll make up a groc. list. We have enough left overs to eat different meals for 2 nights. But dh has said he doesn't want to eat leftovers 2 nights this week, so I guess I'll freeze the leftover shrimp curry. We'll have leftover pastas tonight - pasta w/ tomato sauce and pasta spinach casserole (took out of the freezer) tonight.

It has been a week since I posted. From the 15th thru the 22nd, I attended 5 football games. 2 HS, 2 flag and 1 boys tackle.

Our weather has been beautiful. I have had the house opened up day and night. This weekend were perfect fall days.

Dgd turned 3 on the 22nd. Her birthday party was yesterday at her moms pottery studio. Dd2 decided that since she would be having parties there, that dgd3 should be the first one. We didn't paint though. This was a perfect opportunity for her dmil and dfil to see the business. They finally installed her soda fountain and brought the beverage cooler that she had ordered. It was really nice to just serve yourself fountain drinks. A different company installed a coffee and hot cocoa machines. She had wanted cappacino but they were having problems with those machines, so that will come later. Dgd3 was enjoying opening her gifts at her own pace and her brothers were trying to hurry her. She loves clothes and it is so much fun buying clothes for her. She is also getting into B arbies.

I don't know if I mentioned it, but dd2 wanted curtains for her party room. She had bought the material and borrowed her dsis sewing machine. Problem is, she has never taken a sewing class and doesn't even know how to sew. I ended up volunteering for the project. I have an old sewing machine that I bought 35 years ago and it was old then. It does nothing fancy, just forward and backward. She wanted the tab type curtains at the top. She had 2 different materials, one for the curtain and one for the tabs. I have a valance over my sink that is a tab type, so I used that as an example. The top, tabs and bottom are the white print with all the bright colors that are in the material for the curtain. It involved a lot of pieces. So there was a lot of measuring, pinning and ironing involved. I finished them last night. I am going to starch and iron them and deliver them to her shop later today. The party room has 3 windows that face out into the rest of the studio. Therefore, the curtains needed to be made as neatly as possible, because when they are closed during a party, any goof ups would show. I managed to avoid any goof ups. Yeah!!!!

Dd2 has hired a staff. She has several girls that are art majors at the college. A guy who has done graphic design and another guy who is an art major. Plus 4 others. I have come to the conclusion that I needed to be trained also, so that if she needed me to, I could run it. This is strictly a backup position and on call position. That way if she gets swamped during the morning, I can run in and help. Her gelatto case should be in today or tomorrow. She is being inspected by the health dept. on Wednesday and hopes to open this Thursday. She is paying rent and help and needs to start making some money!

We are leaving this Thursday to go to our hometown for my class reunion. I hate leaving her when she is opening but I have been planning this for months. I wish that I would have asked dh before I paid for his dinner on the formal night because he doesn't want to go. My dsisil didn't even ask my db, because she knew he wouldn't want to go. Anyway dh talked to our friend that he has taken numerous bike trips with and he had a group of 5 going to Fayetteville, AR for a big motorcycle rally. So dh will be the 6th. We are trailering his bike back there. They will leave Friday morning and come back Sunday. I have a hotel in our hometown for Thurs., Fri and Sat. Then Sunday we will stay at a hotel in dms town which is 30 miles closer to home. That way we can hopefully hit the road early next Monday. Now that it is here, I really don't want to go to the reunion but I hate to leave dsisil in the lurch, after we had agreed to go together. Dsisil had invited us to stay there but I just hate to stay at someones house that long.

Dh started vacation on the 19th and doesn't go back to work until the 2nd. He was suppose to work on the fence. He took down the fence on each side of the house facing the front. Went to H ome D epot and they didn't have enough of anything in stock to do anything with. So it will have to be ordered. Then we decided to do the back in the white vinyl also. So he has spent a LOT of time on the internet, trying to decide on which brand, which style, blah, blah, blah. So it looks like this will be more vacation than work. Then his friend from work that he went to C anada with, wants him to go with him and 2 of his out of town friends to Tiki Island off of Galveston, for a motorcycle trip on Nov. 1. He might as well, because if he retires when he is wanting to, these trips will be few and far between.

Dgd17 months isn't feeling well at all. She has what appears to be a cold, but dd2 made her a dr. appt today, to make sure that is all it is. I spent Friday night at the game, Saturday morning at the game and yesterday afternoon at the party wiping her continually running nose. I have been taking Airborn, because there is no way I am leaving town sick. Period!!!!

I am wondering how I will be ready to leave in 3 days. The house needs cleaned, the lawn will need mowed, the SUV washed, plus some grocery shopping and a baby gift. Guess I better get started, huh?

Sorry for the book.

Dd2 called and the gelatto case arrived damaged. She can't get ahold of the lady who has been handling everything and she has a shipment of gelatto arriving tomorrow. Her store computer is acting up. Her dh is going to have to put together the case and see if it works and what they can do about the appearance of the case. She is having a bad MONDAY. On top of that, they have the sick baby with them, because I'm leaving town soon, she hasn't expected me to watch her.

On top of everything my mind is always on ((((Okay)))). And that makes anything else I have written, seem like chicken feed. That is a saying from my dm.
