everyone is sleepy around me... it makes me sleepy too so off to do some put away.

I have cleared part of the kit. counters, and I'm back from my walk it's noon now so time to get on with my day.

Dee - here is a recipe for it. I haven't tried it but it looks like it might be good one.

Home from town. After we finished successfully building (meaning with no smashed fingers) a school bus, we had to celebrate our victory. We went to Atlanta Bread with intentions of getting Chia Tea drink, but ended up with everything except. Everything we ate/drank was wonderful so we just laughed at ourselves when we remembered what we intended to order.

Before I left this morning i dropped a whole chicken, onions, garlic, and carrots into the Instant Pot, pressed a button and walked out the door. It was finished to perfection and smelled wonderful when I came back home. The Instant Pot definitely remains one of my favorite kitchen servants! I always think of this village when I use it because this is where I learned about it. I can't remember who first mentioned it though!

LO is finding every reason in the book to get up instead of taking a nap. I find it hilarious how creative & inventive he can be. .....however I'm trying my best to hide my laughter and encourage him to take "just a little nap".

OKay, I've wondered how much longer LO will take a nap. My kids got to where they would never take a nap at home for me but would still take the nap at day care.

I napped and dh and dd got home. I have water going now to cook the noodles.

I walked 30 min. before breakfast, scrubbed 3 toilets, and after breakfast my sinuses started acting up dreadfully. DH vacuumed and dust mopped yesterday, swept and mopped and I dusted the house. Is there dust in the air now? Sometimes I wonder if it pays to do housework. (Just kidding.)

I got 2 lovely cards in the mail, a magazine, and my market book. I am re-reading a section inside a de-cluttering book on taming paper clutter. I've started the process with my labels on post-it notes, in the spare room, in 5 boxes, but didn't get far. I need to get this job done.

It's raining on and off, DH is watching college football, his favorite, and we just do our own things on weekends. It's nice that we give each other space to enjoy the things we want to. I sent in a story, too.

I'm trying NOT to nap today, because it interferes with my nighttime sleeping something terrible. But yesterday I conked out at 4 p.m. and woke at 5:20 p.m. It couldn't be helped.

Dee, I sure hope your medicine helps. You might want to try Flylady's site for recipes. She might have that recipe at her site. I'm uncertain if it's Vanilla or Sugar-Free though.

Cowinkie, Oh, so you're into college football, too? So is DH! What teams do Lucylee and Twins' daughter root for? And you, too?

Ivy, my dd is at UT-Knoxville and my son is at GA Tech.

Kugel is in the oven and I'll get the salad together soon. I also have three lols to fold!

I don't know how old LO will be before he quits naps, but I don't think it will be anytime soon. He needs 12-14 hours of daily sleep and it is hard to get that many hours in without napping. If not woken up, he will usually take a 2-3 hour nap then sleep 10-12 hours at night. He can miss one nap without a problem, but 2 days in a row spells trouble. If he doesn't get an opportunity to make up that missed sleep then he will get dark circles under his eyes and cranky. He is always on the go when awake. I've tried to interest him in sitting and watching a cartoon movie, but it never happens. He might be still in front of a TV for 10 minutes, but then he is on the go again. It's not that he can't sit still, but he doesn't want to. He will sit for 30 minutes in front of PC and happily play learning type games. He will sit quietly in church and school, but otherwise he always finding something to do and places to go.

Chicken deboned. Used juice and 1/2 of chicken to make chicken & noodles. The other 1/2 will either be eaten plain or made into chicken salad.

The weather radar that covers our part of the state is not available (being replaced). Wouldn't you know it.....during the 6 days it is out of operation, we have a strong storm moving through. The local weather people are using FB to track the hail. They have request people to post on the weather FB page the location and severity of the hail so they can manually track it. Who knew FB could be used for so many purposes?

We are off the road for the night!!! It was a good trip - just a lot of traffic. Hmmmmm! 2 trains have whistled thru about a block away in the 15 minutes we have been here - wonder what our sleep will be like tonight.

Time to unload the bed of electronics and the trim for the top of the headboard where the slide motor is. We will not be opening it until we get home tomorrow.

Hmmm... ... 3 of our village families have funerals figuring in their days today.

We did a good job on staying right on plan and dd got to chat with almost all of her cousins, even getting clear on who were 2nd cousins and who were 2nd once-removed, etc. Many enjoyable memories shared of my dear aunt. Back here dd had time to change clothes and be ready to greet friend and her mother, the 4 of us chatting about school, and then they left on the sleepover. I am to pick the 2 girls up at 9:15 tomorrow for SS.

I headed back out and barely did make it for the graveside service. Got to spend a little more time with some of my same-age cousins and it was really a meaningful time. I guess I really am grateful the family decided to do everything on Sat because it was much less effort for us since HRH would be here.

Back here again I was starving and socially weary, so certainly ate too much, but in general the day was a success.

I am tired.

Quiet day at my house. DH is taking a nap. I got groceries this morning. Haven't done much else.

The checkout girl at grocery store was new. Will never go through her lane again! She was nice and friendly, but overcharged me by more than eleven dollars! I got it all refunded at customer service, but, honestly some people are not cut out for certain jobs. She was completely distracted by a small jar of pimentos that I was buying. Said, "What a cute little jar...what is this...what do you do with it...what does it taste like...and on and on... She was not able to focus after that. Luckily, I am in a good mood today and the whole episode didn't bother me. She will be great someday in a job that requires lots of talking to people!
