scattered, I hope you have a fulfilling day.
OKay, I'm disappointed for your brother. I understand roping, but not ride again? Just ride? Hmmm... ... it would seem there would be a way. I suppose without shoulder flexibility an issue could come up, though. He would not want to encounter a snake and have a rearing horse unless he had good shoulder movement, for instance....? If it were just mounting and dismounting, we Scots would recommend a loupin'-on-stane, which is an old Scottish invention (or at least improvement upon an older Roman one). It's rock/masonry steps near the stable or church to take a rider up to a level closer to the saddle. A well-trained horse will stay absolutely still beside it until the rider is on or off - some horses can learn a verbal command to go and stand beside it, stock-still, in the perfect position each time. Here in our area there are examples of loupin'-on-stane used for generations, so long the rock steps have been worn concave from boots.
Dee, thanks I took one, too, just because you had a good idea there. I need to watch my energy today. Not enough sleep, like scattered. But also when I tried to catch a few more winks after the school run (I get home about 6:50 to 6:55 - still dark) all went wrong because my ddad was up and dressed several hours early and I didn't know it and we had some confusion issues to manage.
I had an appt at the bank and neglected to bring a third (sigh) document I needed (they tried to call me) , so have to have another appt next week. (This is getting my ddad's accts consolidated in the way the most recent acquiring bank
It's "University Day" for dd14. She is with the engineering students touring the closest Univ-of-our-state. This is the 4th largest of our 17 and just sprawls out soooo far and wide, so I'm sure they'll be tired this afternoon. They will shadow people in various courses of study to see what they do/study in a typical day. Some group (?) is going to feed them, but I sent her with money anyway. She can have an iffy tummy sometimes, and another choice at the food courts areas might help. I am so grateful to see it is 66 and sunny right now at a little after 12:50. That seems ideal for them.
