I love all the christmas music. I have a tape of the nutcracker I like to play.

Got that jungle tamed out there, it was up to the roof in places and ants were using it as a ladder... hauled all that away.

Front porch washed, the windows and door out there done too, and all the front porch furniture. DH came in and finished squirting the driveway off, I had it half done. Might seem like a weird time of the year to be doing all this outside work, but it will be warm and we will be outside with the kids, the guys will be in the driveway with the turkey fryer, we'll be using the chairs...

Rolled the remaining 2 new tires in the living room out to the garage. Made us dinner, just frozen fish for DH and toast for me. I want something hot, I'm chilled and my clothes are wet. I guess I'll jump in the shower and clean in there while I shower. Lots still to do.

Back from California. Listened to XM radio all the way. On the way out it was country and Elvis and on the way back it was 50's music. I don't think DH appreciated my sing along but I was having a good time. He drove out and I drove back. About 150 miles each way.

Now I have to find something for dinner. I just want to veg out and watch NCIS.

blessed--That's so cute about "Baby booga" and I also liked "Follow that Bird!"

lucylee--My Dad loved Bill Monroe... and the Grand Ole Opry...that was a staple on Saturday night radio at our house.

All these good songs mentioned here are getting me in the Christmas spirit. My favorite Elvis song would have to be "Kentucky Rain."

I have a movie to watch from the library, so see you all tomorrow!

I love the Nutcracker too! And many of the classics you all are mentioning! I really loved Walking in a Winter Wonderland as a child.

Lots I need to do tonight, trying to get everything done before we leave tomorrow. I think I'm going to do laundry and cooking tonight. And my share of the vacuuming. If we peel and cut up the potatoes, dh has said he will make the mashed potatoes. He makes the most awesome mashed potatoes - he uses cream when he can, lots of butter (I won't ask how much), and a light touch of nutmeg. Yum. . . .I'll make the cranberry sauce.

Dfriend is stopping by later tonight to borrow our aerobed. I can't find the queen sized mattress pad that goes with it. . . Hmm......

Dd14's friend is here to sleep over. It's not the best night for this, but Dd14 doesn't get to see her very often anymore since this friend went to a different high school (zoned differently) and dd14 doesn't have a lot of close friends at the moment.

I spent 5 hours driving around town today. Tomorrow won't be too much better; I have a list of errands to make before we leave.
- Go for a jog!! Dh is doing this first thing in the morning and I AM going to join him.
- Take dh to pick up his car from the mechanic
- Pepper to dog-o-mat
- Pick up bread somewhere, probably at WF.
- Pick up ds
- Take dd14's dfriend home across town
- Take Pepper to friends' home in neighboring town; dh and I talked about doing this as we leave town.

I will also need to pack and prep the animals and house for our absence.

On to laundry! And cranberry sauce. But not together. ;)

helia, thanks for asking about dgs. He certainly collided hard with that coffee table but he was fine after ER visit and has "glue" (?) holding his skin together under the eyebrow rather than stitches. If he can just keep from scratching at it or tugging at it (difficult when you are two years old!) he won't have any trouble. Dd32 says dsonil was NOT a happy camper at hospital - frustrated at the long ER wait (which seemed forever to a 2-year-old). He doesn't think they have a good system of triage.

I'm sorry I haven't explained my concerns about dstepson well. I'll try to do so in J and C.

Except for a moderately successful grocery run and an extra load of laundry, some deep-cleaning in kitchen, I feel I haven't used this day well. I am either too cold, too tired or too in denial (IGAD Syndrome) to accomplish much. Maybe tomorrow will be brighter.

Dd had a great day at school - that was a high point. She is having such a happy year and I'm so grateful on her behalf. Every parent I run into says this is just the best year for their child. The new principal seems to be a jewel. All the teachers seem happy. Discipline has improved. I wish they could bottle this and I hope it lasts.

Good Evening! :D

I got the fresh tablecloth on, fixed the tablecloth with place mats, my Thanksgiving angel, etc...

I did my SMART goals to work on black Friday and through the New Year.

I rested one-half hour, then had coffee, put away crochet, and wrote a to do list for tomorrow.

I wrote a long ta da list, but whenever I tried signing in here, I'd get an error notification, so turned off the computer and did my work. Now my ta da list is in the trash, but I did a lot and I'm proud of myself.

I finished crocheting Dson's hat, got a Dfriend's yarn out for his hat, and will work tomorrow on DD's off-white larger slouch hat.

I can't really CUOP. Just am too tired, have other things to do. I'm glad things are shaping up, look forward to DD on Thanksgiving, and it'll be fun to see her again.

Everybody have a nice evening and an even better day tomorrow. :D

Goodnight. :D

Honey, I'm home! And mighty thankful to be here.

By the time I seen the dr. my bs was in the 60's. He wanted to do a CT scan. So they decided to hook me up to an IV and start pumping sugar water (dextrose) into me. It was 4 before they started it. They did the CT scan about 6. He said everything looked perfect, so I must have passed the stone. I have been pain free this afternoon. So by the time I was dismissed, we picked up burgers and were home by 7:40. Earlier dh had came home and picked up both phone chargers and his nightly meds. We were beginning to think that I would be admitted. Home looked so goooooooooood.

I need to cuop but I wanted to let you know what was going on.

(Harriet) IGAD! Me too.

I have a big portion of the kitchen mess cleaned up. Got all the outside doors locked and car back in the garage. Was waiting for the driveway to dry before I drove up it.

2 bathrooms cleaned. Master is 3/4 done.

I am stiff and sore. My back will hardly bend. So I am doing little bits of stuff in between sitting. There is so much left to do. I cannot imagine how I'll get it all done between now and tomorrow evening when the troops arrive.

Oh, I did a pedicure. Dug out 2 ingrown toenails (I have this problem all the time and I just take care of it myself). My purple toes and top of foot is getting better. It is light purple now. But I used some creams and stuff and my feet feel so much better now.

Oh, Lilac, I'm so glad you are feeling better and not in the hospital. Yay!

I am still chilled from working in wet clothes all afternoon. Even after the hot shower, and I was in there a long time scrubbing it down. Going to go drink something warm.

See you all tomorrow.
