My Wednesday Wonders is that DS19 is now officially DS20! It was 20 years ago today that I suffered through a horrible delivery to bring into the world a big baby (9.2 lbs) who would grow up to be a wonderful young man.
I am off to work 7-3:30 then DP/BFF and I with all our DFamily are going out to dinner... steak, yum!
Have a great day Villagers!

This morning I need to go to temple to meet with rabbi - should jump on computer and run some reports that I need also. Will walk ddogs when I get back; they will probably be indignant that I left without walking them, but we'll walk in the sunshine a little later.
PODA today, off the top of my head:
several loads of laundry
routines
two temple reports
cook dinner with dd tonight
dh's pulled pork to the freezer
paper chasing and clearing...
work on clearing garage?
resersvation for thanksgiving out tomorrow
dog food!

Scattered: our tradition in SHEville is to wish you a Happy Birthing Day! Whether you physically birthed your child or circumstances blessed you with different sort of 'delivery', the birthing of a new family is something to be celebrated.
I'm up.
Skipping treadmill but plan to walk for the mail this afternoon.
Will need to skip the second part of my Sabbath (which runs from Tuesday lunch to Wednesday lunch) because tomorrow is our traditional Christmas shopping day. (US Thanksgiving means our business phone won't ring once Europe shuts down for the day so dh will take a day away from the office and help me plan Christmas.)
Since I'll be busy all day tomorrow, and tomorrow is my heavy cleaning day as well, I'll have to shift half of tomorrow's chores to today and the rest to Friday.
After my nap, I'm having a 'tea' with dd (we've booked a phone call.)
Oh no, sorry if TMI but had the "runs" on the way to temple to meet rabbi - am now back home and "cleaned up" but he still wants to meet, and offered to come here, although I warned him that I may be sick. I had gotten a biscuit at MCD's on my way to meet with him earlier. Still have the "runs" and tummy is unsettled so we will see.
I'm almost sick that he's concerned enough about the contract to come here and meet 'cause I'm so tired of dealing with it, and I frankly don't want to negotiate any more. And if I'm going to be sick I want to be left in peace.
Going to do a tiny bit of straightening up if I can and see what gives.

((Twins' Mom)) "oh no" is right. Wish you could be left alone while sick. Especially wish you didn't have someone coming over for whom you need to be "hostess" all at the same time.
Happy birthing day to scattered.
HRH and I both awakened with sinus headaches, so I don't know what's up with that. Dd has a friend who is nagging for her to get to go over to her house. I dread this because I want her to have some downtime, BUT need her help around the house. She would benefit greatly from a more organized room, so would a good mother say, "No way, get in there and clean!" Hmmm .... ... compromise, maybe.
I need to call a dcousin who may not have anywhere to go for Thanksgiving meal.
If you don't believe in miracles, you're not being realistic.
(((twins))) its okay to say no that you don't feel good no matter who is asking. hope today you have peace! others do survive even though they don't seem like it when you say no.
dharriet wishing you a good day.
dscattered happy birthday to your ds now 20!!!
dkathyrn good morning.
I too woke up with a sinus headache... must be in the air.
Tickled pink that I put plastic wrap on my shelves in fridge. At first I thought it was dorky but today I had meat leak all over two shelves. Easy peasy clean up. anything that dried up on it - poof - the plastic went and so did the mess. I did have to rinse it of course but not the mess that would normally happen.

Already 2 misses this morning:
1. Dh did not get up in time to go for a jog, so I didn't either.
2. We forgot to put garbage and recycling at the curb last night, so we missed that too. Dh thought the garbage can wasn't too full, so we might be OK since we're gone some of this week.
And, we've had 3 accomplishments:
1. Dh's car has been picked up.
2. Mashed potatoes have been made and flavored by dh with sauteed garlic and nutmeg. --I think I said a different spice yesterday?
3. Cranberry sauce has been made.
I've emailed back and forth with ds and he has already done his laundry. He will be picked up later today.
I think I'll be overwhelmed if I post a list of everything I need to do today, so I'll just post a few things at a time.
Next:
-update laundry
-s2s
-just generally finish the a.m. routine

I don't know, Harriet. It depends on the context. This year, we tend to say "yes" to our girls' proposals for get-togethers with certain friends -- b/c our girls don't have a lot of friends. Dd14 doesn't have the tight group of church friends that dd17 has either. Thus, the sleepover tonight of her dfriend (probably her closest friend, her best friend from middle school and church) is actually not very convenient for us, but I said "yes" b/c of this. This was the same reason why we let dd17's school friend come over and bake on Saturday, although we had no idea she would stay 6.5 yours. I'm not saying anything you don't know. Looking at her holistically, what is the priority with your dd? For her, the organized room very well may take precedent.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO SCATTERED'S DS20!! And Happy Birthing Day to you, Scattered.
Ramblings -- not sure why: My first baby, ds was 9 lbs. 7 oz at birth. He was 2 weeks late; I finally had to be induced since he was in no rush to appear on his own. Delivery was not easy, but probably not unusually difficult. Baby #2, now dd17, was born 18 months later and 5 weeks early, 5 lbs. 4? oz., 17 inches. What a contrast! She almost fell out. Ha! Not really, but in comparison it seemed like it. She remained tiny throughout her life. Dd14 was in between at 8 lbs. 5? oz. Best L and D of the 3. She quickly dropped on the growth charts, b/c she was born a bit on the large side, but like dd17, she was programmed to end up on the small side.
Off to be productive. . . .
