Hi everyone! I've cuop the last few days. It took a little while and now my thoughts are a little muzzy because I'm tired and it's almost bedtime and I keep distracting myself with other thoughts running around my brain!

I think I read that everyone's Thanksgiving celebrations were pleasant. We had a good time with ds#1 family. There was a crowd of 13 there as ddil's dbro, his dgirlfriend and his two dkids were there also. After dinner we played a game of dominoes with dgkids.

Yesterday dh had a dr. appointment with oncologist, and he got a good report. We went shopping after that for dgson birthday present, (he is now dgs11). This morning I wrapped his gifts and dh boxed it up to mail. I also wrote ds#3 and ddil a note with a check for our cell phones to send with dgs11's present. We are on his cell phone family plan and I send our portion every two months. It costs us way less for our phones this way.

Gall bladders.....my dh had his removed almost 50 years ago, he was in his 20's. No diet restrictions afterward, he could eat anything he wanted.

Scattered....congrats on the good eval.

Harriet....glad your ring situation is getting sorted out now. A long time ago the prongs on my original wedding rings were wearing out to the point I was afraid of losing the diamonds. Our next door neighbors owned two jewelry stores and we went there to pick out a new set to have the diamonds reset in. If I remember rightly it took about 6 weeks as the jeweler had to add two sets of prongs to fit the four side stones in with the main stones. I've never had a ring resized smaller, but 12 weeks seems like a long time to me.

Kathryn....I'm sorry your ds is sick and also dfs. I know you'll take such good care of him, he'll soon be feeling better!

Cowinkie....Sorry the migraine is back. I hope you'll get some answers with your next dr appt.

Mystery....I'm enjoying reading your posts again. Wow, that's a lot of people you are expecting to visit. I think the most we've ever had was four extra adults and four extra children here in our little house at once. (our ds#3 & family, and his best friend & his family). It sure was fun though!

I think I'll have to wait till tomorrow to remember more. Oh, I did get the PM, thank you. I know these things take time.

Harmony....I'm glad you had a good report from the doctor and you like her.

Hi everyone! I am checking in late. DD10 has left after Girls' Night Out. As usual, we ate Chinese then went to Chuck E Cheese. This time she wanted me to follow her around, so I got nothing done on my crochet sweater, but we did have fun. I have also returned library books, got appointment for mammogram, called the pet sitter for Christmas, declared myself done with items for the yarn bombing, and have done catboxes and cleaned up after a sick cat. DD is not happy with my new Christmas tree, because I have no ornaments. She wants to string popcorn on Sunday AND actually WANTS to go to church! I think it is time to do some crochet and watch a mindless video.

DD got an 'incident report' at daycare, but it was some kid biting her rather than anything she did.

Tomorrow, I need to figure out a time to do my thyroid bloodwork and work on my resume. Fun, fun.

Harriet, I PM'd you to explain what the email said and that it was meant for me. It wasn't a mistake.

We had rotisserie chicken, canned mandarins for dinner and I ate a spinach salad. It was good.

Rain's moving in for a few days. It means things will warm up some. We've been having freezing fog in the mornings.

Tomorrow night's the full moon. Does anybody else here have difficulty getting to sleep during a full moon? :?: Just curious. It seems like I get more energy and it's hard to shut down and get to sleep.

I cannot believe tomorrow's Hump Day!

We got 2 packages sent today. They're the only ones we're sending. I think they'll like their gifts. :D

Goodnight, Everybody! TTFN! :D

Book club was fun! I never got to taste the wine, though. Dh had recommeded this winery and wine. There's a lot left, so maybe another evening. I ate too much. I'm not having much luck getting back on the bandwagon yet. . . . . Dfriends left at 10:30. I tucked dgirls in and was just about ready to hop into bed myself when I realized -- we had forgotten to put the garbage and recycling at the curb. We forgot last week too, so it was imperative that it get done this week. So, I did that. While I was doing that, dLily escaped outside. I had to walk around the house 2x before she would let me pick her up and carry her in. She sort of runs away, keeping just out of my reach. If I chase her, she runs for real, so I just walk calmly. The minute I walked in the door with Lily, dh called. He is now safely in San Jose after his meetings in DC. Now, after attempt #1 to go to bed 45 minutes ago, I'm ready to commence attempt #2. . .

Dfriend A emailed tonight and will likely join us for dinner and hang out here tomorrow night. She's struggling a little; it helps her to have another place to hang out, to not be alone. I only got 3 pork chops for dinner tomorrow, so I'll pop over to WF and get a fourth one.

tomorrow, I'll be doing more running around. I may be meeting dfriend for coffee at 9 (I may not; she emailed tonight and said she wasn't feeling well today) and then dfriend B for lunch at 11, after admiring her new kitchen. Later, I need to take dd14 shopping for swimming equipment before taking her to synchro practice at 5:30. I'll pick her up again at 7:30. That will give me about 3 hours in the afternoon to do whatever I need to do.

Goof night all!

* whew *
No ironing done tonight. That's for certain.
We've been babysitting since around 6:00... and dgs is a good baby, but even good babies like lots of attention, I guess. I'm thinking it will get better when he can entertain himself a little more, you know? I mean, right now (5 months yesterday) he can't sit up on his own, he certainly can't crawl, he can't even find & pick up his toys if he drops them! But he IS beginning to take more interest in his toys, and will reach out for them if you hold something in front of him. He seemed to enjoy knocking down some soft blocks when I stacked them up for him. He also seemed to like the Christmas tree.

Those crazy observations I was fussing about yesterday? Well, thanks to a dfriend who decided she was going to get these done and done NOW, we got 4 out of 6 recorded TODAY. Wish there was a "High Five" emoticon, LOL! This is just one of the most stupid things and it takes up a lot of precious time that could be better spent. Plus we found out we're the only school in the district that has to do this. * sheesh * We feel like we are always the guinea pigs, b/c we are the largest school -- and the closest to the central office, so it's easy for them to be checking in on us all the time.

Also got all my grades recorded in computer this afternoon...
went to cleaners, drug store, and two other stores looking for replacement candle for the window. THEN, finally, after bringing home two candles from dmil's, figured out that probably the problem was that the bulb IN the candle burned out, and the new bulb I took out of the package was ALSO bad. So the problem was not the candle, after all.

No time for story time, Harriet... story time has passed. Tomorrow my students will be doing story time -- oral book report/presentations in two classes, and the other two will be reviewing for the test on their BIG story: Great Expectations. I do read aloud to my students from time to time. For some of them, it is probably the only literature they'll ever get -- b/c they just refuse to read on their own -- and others of them do enjoy being read to for a change.

Tried to read "The Night Before Christmas" to dgs tonight... but we ended up looking at the pictures and moving on... :)

Need to download some pictures to Wmart of Sn*pfish. Need to check deals, b/c I want enough prints to send in Christmas cards.

(((Ivy))) re: the e-mail and broken friendship. I have a dear, dear friend that has sorta drifted away over the years... and I do miss her & wonder what happened to make her just go silent on me. No Christmas cards, etc. for MANY years now, even though I have faithfully sent her one EVERY year, w/pictures of ds as long as he was in school.
Oh! I take that back. I DID get a card from her last May. Graduation announcement w/her son's picture. The first picture she had ever sent me, and he was 18 years old... so I sent him a gift w/a card telling him how much his mom & his grandparents had meant to me... and... that's the last contact since then. No thank you... nothing.

(((Cowinkie))) Hope you feel better soon.

Waving to all. Hope y'all have a good night.
Tomorrow is another day.
