Wondering blessed's exact meaning of "spacing out" but perhaps coffee would help?
helia, if you should speak to your friend again, you might mention you know someone (me) whose dear aunt had a nicked colon in surgery too, and lived a long happy healthy life, able to nearly forget all about it, passing away in her 90s. Your friend's child is young, and youth is often a great benefit to prognoses.
Harmony, so sorry you are swamped with news of health problems for friends, I know that is troubling. My prescription fill was for 6 months, Harmony, but the dr now seems in no hurry to check up on me.

Re: THREE ON TUESDAY
LO's ENT nurse called back and thought he should be seen ASAP. I picked LO up from school and headed to town......all for nothing. Doctor said LO ears/throat looked A-Okay.
Doc offered to do a strep test, but felt sure it would come back negative. I deferred to his experienced opinion. Doc said LO might have a virus when I asked why LO throat was red this morning and he is complaining about it hurting. Doc will see LO again next week for post-op and give results of allergy tests.
stopped by Hobby Lobby and was thrilled to find Angel hair (mine has to be over 20 years old and had lost its fluff), a Christmas apron for me and coordinating apron for LO. We will be stylin' in the kitchen this Christmas season!

Re: THREE ON TUESDAY
Good Evening, Villagers!
I hope you've all had a good day! I don't have a chance to cuop like I'd love to do. Have the timer going to go eat dinner soon.
My 1st 3's:
1- I've stayed away from cookies all day!
I don't have the desire nor inclination to eat any tonight either. Just not in the "mood".
2- I didn't get my 1/2-hour walk in today.
3- I had the most amazing end-of-the-year therapy session! She's a CBT therapist, I talked almost straight for 45 min., she said things sound like they're going very well for me, which they are, and we talked about what sidetracks me the most from writing. So with her help, we decided to have me take a break from writing from now until after New Year's Day and then jump in again. (The baby crochet is a priority and cleaning for Christmas.)
My 2nd list of 3's:
1- I am on laundry load #2, but we'll not do #3 tonight because we need to run the DW. We can't run both at once.
2- I haven't had a chance to read my "hot spot stack" of magazines yet, because of crocheting for the baby. Maybe later this evening or tomorrow.
3- I crocheted some pink Mary Jane shoes with a white flower on the outside. 2 cone hats are next with matching tube socks. I'll work on them again after dinner.
My 3rd list of 3's:
1- I've been putting yarns away as I finish projects, like I said I would!
2- I did not do my writer's work today, because that was a pre-therapy decision and my therapist and I decided I needed a break. It's a busy season and I've already submitted 2 stories by the Fri. deadline.
So I don't "need" to write more.
3- I said I'd read on a book & relax, which I still might do, after the crochet is done.
I want to see part of The Tonight Show, so I can crochet then, too.
DH bought 2 more small assemble-yourself boxes for sleeper saques, cardigans and dresses with some floral headbands and bow headbands and sun hats/bonnets, in various sizes. Since Ddil and Dson have only had 6 boys all these years and never a daughter, they'll really need girl clothes. A BFF gave me a bunch of baby yarn and this is sort of like de-cluttering because I'm getting rid of the yarn in already made things to bless others. ♥ When this #1 box is sent off, I'll do dgrson-3 3/4 his stuffed dog for Christmas. Then it's back to baby crochet.
Gotta go! Have a GR8 night!

Re: THREE ON TUESDAY
It was a wonderful night!
The drive there was bad, as I knew it would be. It took 25 minutes to go 7/8th of a mile at one point. Then I ended up stuck turning left before I wanted to but that was an alternate route that ended up being really fast and changing my left hand turn into the parking area into a right hand turn.
Once at the church, I was "home" and had a wonderful evening. Sat at dinner with a friend with whom I had traveled to Atlanta, dh's drumming friend and another musician who I needed to talk with. Got to know the air force chaplain better and also enjoyed an amazing dinner.
Worship was wonderful. Then the president of the next level up of church governance gave a talk. In her presentation, my little church's stain glass window appeared on the screen (as an illustration of the small rural churches in the Presbytery.) The photo was pulled from our website so it obviously is easy to find us.
After that, we broke into workshops and I stayed in the sanctuary for a Taize service which was amazing and I got to sit with a friend who helped me make the decision to be a lay worship leader and got me into the courses. After the Taize service all the groups gathered together for communion.
The singing was mostly in French since we were in Quebec. That's a challenge but it also makes the hymns fresh.
My drive home was effortless. I'm now trying to wind down so I can go to sleep.
