Follow through on the week's planning and make sure you are THOROUGH !
What were your goals - set aside time to complete them.
Don't just make great starts, reassess and plan on great finishes, too.
What record keeping will you do to complete a goal - calendar, refile cards, journal, hit "send", do a happy dance?
Double-check what was done, proof-read what was written, ask someone else if they see something you've missed.

Re: Thorough Thursday
Will not accomplish much today. Taking dd and dropping her at her eye Dr. before 8a.m., taking gd to school, stop for gas, pick dd back up, come back home. Then in about an hour we leave to pick up friends and head for Sarasota. A group from up home get together at a restaurant there each year. Dsonil is picking up gd this afternoon and with the way she's been lately we can only hope that goes well.
Foggy out so hope the commute is good this morning. Supposed to get windy and rainy by this afternoon. Dh is wearing shorts today & I told him he might want to rethink his plan -high is only 70. (I know that's a lot better than up north).
I have to run, hopefully have time to post later.

Re: Thorough Thursday
Harriet - Good Morning.
Dee - I saw someone wearing shorts here on Tuesday and it was 38*!
Be careful driving in the fog.
I went to bed last night at 7:30 and slept until 6:50, I did wake up a few times during the night but would just roll over and go back to sleep. I cannot wait for this weekend, TG it is a three day weekend! I have class until 9:30 tonight if they don't close the school because of snow. We are supposed to get 3-4 inches which will be more slush then snow. Around here they close schools for 1/4" snow much less forecasted 3-4 inches. I actually hope they do cancel class since I have not had anytime to do my homework.
I still need to finish my SDR & GRWR, and I need to remember to pack my school bag.
Have a great day Villagers!

Re: Thorough Thursday
Shorts weather in Tampa area today! Light snow (little accumulation) expected here this afternoon, after we've made our getaway.
I hope I've been thorough in my packing, if not, I'll live!

Re: Thorough Thursday
Good morning! We're supposed to get up to 30 today, which is a bit cooler than yesterday but still a little above average for us. Next week, we're going to have a couple days with highs around 15! THAT is cold. That is also more how I remember this time of year when we first moved here 11 years ago, except with a couple weeks like that. --Not that I'm complaining. I'm sure becoming a weather wimp. Not too cold. Not too hot. . . . . . . . .
Girls are off. Dh has gone for a run. I've let the dog out and let the dog back in. I'm working on some tea.
Thank you for the apropos start for today, Harriet. I do have projects I need to finish this week: namely, the New Year's Letter. I've been so busy during the day and then so tired at night, I haven't found the appropriate time for the last edits. Actually, I need dh to give his final stamp of approval too.
Today will be similar: out of the house 8:30 - 12:30/1:00 to moms group. Then, out again 3:20 - 5:20-ish to pick up dd14 and take her to her sewing design lesson. I'll either walk during her lesson or go to a nearby library and work on Hebrew. Thursday dinner crew has been cancelled, which is a good thing. I may do the groc. run for our trip this evening so I can cook up pulled pork tomorrow before we go. Dh is out tonight.
So, that will leave me maybe 2:45 at home today before I need to work on dinner and evening activities. I desperately need to exercise so might use some of that time for that. I'll also take some time to eat lunch, which will leave me little time to work in the house. . . . .
OK, I need to hit the showers. I need to leave in about 35 minutes. Have a great day, lovely SHE friends!

Good Morning!
Safe travels to Dee & Twins!
I'm debating on sending LO to school. His hasn't eaten anything other than a few crackers and 1 slice of cheese and it took him all day to get those down. However, he says he feels fine and wants to go to school. I am 99% he isn't contagious. hum.......Decision made. It's a school day! I will remain close by in case he get feeling bad.
NEXT UP - breakfast, monitor LO AM cards, then out the door for school run in 45 minutes

Re: Thorough Thursday
((lucylee)) I hope you have every-other-day with that class of kids that was so hard on you yesterday, and can kind of regroup today.
Dee, you say you won't get much done and start explaining a morning of errands!
That sounds like a lot to get done!
scattered, how many miles are you driving each day?
Best wishes, OKay, for an ordinary school day for LO.
helia, sending writing/proofing vibes your way. Ivy may need those today, too.
☼ Grab the sunglasses, camera and paperback novel, Twins' Mom! Have a relaxing time.
So far, my day -
second verse, same as the first. Except this time I didn't have to run because I had my umbrella! Yes, yet another repeat trip to school after the school run was supposed to be complete. Exam week is in full swing and dd14 is not immune to the frantic panics. Walked back in our door to the call. Sigh. Her engineering notebook grade would include previously returned homework being presented again in proper order. Huh? (This info coming third hand from teacher still in his week-long sickbed.)
I was so thankful for my declutter and clean in the master closet - I put my hand on the best umbrella in a split second. So this trip, before the bell had even rung, it was still pitch dark, raining hard, bad driving among inexperienced drivers
and more difficult to get a parking space. I fell in line walking on the sidewalk behind one of the varsity basketball guys and his stride got me to the door fast, lol! First Bell sounded. Sigh. She got her papers, many apologies, jack-rabbited away. I know I looked frazzled. The man administrator was calling out to sprinting teens, "Let's go, people, let's go!" and grinned at me. "Too early in the morning for this?" I shook my head no. "Too late in life."

Re: Thorough Thursday
-- and thanks for the good wishes! I'm keeping my fingers crossed!
-- Actually -- I am praying about it. Got a lot to talk to the Lord about today... dmom, ddad, that class, my anxieties... I really could use a longer commute...
Another 10:00 a.m. start for us! I am REALLY getting spoiled to this sort of schedule.
But -- if one sleeps in 2 hours, a 2-hour delay does NOT give one 2 extra hours for morning routine. Better get in the shower.
Tomorrow is another day.

Re: Thorough Thursday
hi I am needing a little financial talking to.. dd older has a d friend coming tonight for the weekend to our house. I tend to go into panic mode in the sense that I don't want any one bored. I want to give to this girl visiting a time of her life I can't afford with out taking out of our savings. dd older said not do plan anything.. don't worry... my first instincts is to get theater tickets and get a reservation at a nice restaurant and basically go into bankruptcy when company comes. (all i the fear of them being bored).
I need a talking to.. to say everything is going to be fine.. and don't go crazy. (I think I am a good enough cook but feel that when a friend or family comes that I need to take the out so they can really "have a good meal".

oh my goodness, d harriet, when I read your note... first I cheered for you..(getting the umbrella easily for having an organized closet) but as I read, your writing made me feel like I was there! The last line "too late in life" made me laugh immediately out loud. thank you!
