MT - I just stopped by your "place" to check out the latest remodeling pics. You have done well!! The color scheme flows together perfectly. Very big POTB!!! I'm so happy for you!
I talked to another grandmother and she said her grandchild played Tball as a 4 year old last year. I'm going to take that as a indication that LO will be able to play. The TBall is not a school function/activity, however they use the school system to "get the word out" to children/parents. LO is the youngest student in the entire school, so if anyone is excluded due to age, it would be him.
Next up - LOL

Re: Shrove Tuesday
Hello everybody! I was busy and tired yesterday. I seem to have a tired day after Sunday's small group here. It is a lot emotionally to deal with I guess.
Today my "moles" are paperwork and phone call chores and I've been knocking them out one at a time.
Sorry so many of you have that virus or flu. There's so much of this going around. Yesterday in the supermarket there was a cashier who was coughing badly and I got out of her line and got into another. People were looking at her with concerned looks...
Cowinkie, I'm sorry you've been diagnosed with something they can't treat. Is there a natural remedy of some sort?
Well, I best get back to work here. I'm trying to get my Bible studies caught up and I'm way behind on one of them...

Happy Mardi Gras y'all...
Tonights dinner request is chicken gumbo, plus a King Cake. I miss my Mardi Gras parades, but watch can watch them on the internet. Unfortunately it is a rainy day in both Mobile and New Orleans.
Cluster headaches occur incyclical patters or clusters - which gives the headache its name. Cluster headache is one of the most painful types of headache. The are sometimes called the "alarm clock headahe" because it commonly awakes you in the middle of the night with intense pain in or around the eye on one side of your head. Most people like myself get them in the spring and fall. I can get aheadache one a day for a week or one every few days, or some people like my dexh had them 3-4 times a day. The headaches are usually timed...meaning they beginning at the same time each day...for me I wake up around 3 am with one...and last for a specific amount of time. The headaches come on very fast with no signs like migraines, and last a specific amount of time. For me its several hours of pain, for my dexh it was an hour, but 2 hours later he would have one again...and so on.
The time between cycles varies. I can go months at a time without one, or several years. It is believed that the headaches are caused by a disorder in your hypothalmus which also controls your putuitary gland. The hypothalamus is responsible for releasing the hormones in your body. In humans, the biological clock is located in the hpothalamus, which lies deep in the center of your brain. Studies have detected increased activity in the hypothalamus during the course of a cluster headache.
Unlike migraine and tension headaches, clusters generally don't have triggigers, such as food, hormonal changes, stress or even weather changes. Most people who get clusters are men. There is no cure for these headaches. All you can do is use meds that will help decrease the severity of pain, shorten the headache period and prevent the attackes. Over the counter drugs such as Excedrine are useless. I take a drug called Maxalt. It doesn't get rid of the headache, just lessens the pain. Y'all know how strong demerol is. I've been given it interveniously....Even it doesn't get rid of the headache...my head still hurts, but I just don't care.
Because these types of headaches stress the body, I am usually very exhausted after they are gone. I tell everyone that I'm having a headache hangover cause I'm so useless the next day. Cluster headaches are often called Suicide Headaches because the pain can be so sever that after time even the though of death sounds better than going through these cycles.
This is for you Twins....hope it puts a smile on your face. I'm off to the store....

Hehehe. . . I know that video was for Twins, but I took a peek too!
/ a.m. routine
x gassed van
x haircut
x Tar-jay
x unloaded and put away everything
x lunch
Next:
-prep Valentines Day cards for dparents and dbro.
-finalize groc. list
- stop by post office box
-groc. store
Dinner here: we're having leftover Costa Rican rice and chicken (kind of like jambalaya w/ different flavor), salad, bread. Dd14 is not eating with us as she is going to the state figures meet with her team, even though she didn't qualify to compete at the state level. That will make it low-key for her.

Re: Shrove Tuesday
Hello Dear Ladies,
We don't have snow here Okay, just rain. We might get .5 inch of snow if we get any. It's in the 40s so I don't think we will but the rain makes it cold. And yes it will be a very big deal if we get that .5 inch, every thing will shut down.
Feeling a bit better today than yesterday. Slept well last night, and that can make all the difference.
Have cleaned the kitchen, didn't do the floor, that will be another day. Dbrother kept interrupting me with different requests. He was trying out a different channel on TV. He likes to watch one channel all day long to see what is on it. This channel has the show, "Cops" which he absolutely loves so he kept calling to me to come and see the show.
Wrote a short but large print letter to Dear Aunt Betty. I put a photo of something in the letter too. This time I had a picture of colorful spring purses that I had hung up over the weekend.
Dson25 is home from work so I'm going to grab a shower. Maybe I'll putter some more today. Would like to work on the bathrooms and then do floors tomorrow.
Need to go over DH's records for taxes too. And Dson22's records. So there is plenty to do.
Have a great day all!

Happy Mardi Gras Y'all
I got a massive list done last night, except for two things. I decided not to pay a bill which is due on the 27th, I am waiting until the 15th (payday) to pay it. I also did not inspect the attic. I tried, but the improvements the previous owners made to the closet make the attic access inaccessible! DFosterCat13 is still sick and threw up all over my bedspread, so I have some unanticipated laundry to do tonight. I have a document to work on at payroll, minutes to correct and minutes to create for animal org, a letter to mail, and an email to reply to, as well as numerous emails to read and declutter. This weekend, I got half the roof protrusions retarred and next weekend I will try to finish.
Tonight is Girls' Night Out, and is likely to be Chinese and Chuck E Cheese. My church is having a pancake supper and I would like to go there, but it is likely that DD will want the usual.
This week is busy, with tonight with DD, Ash Wednesday service + animal org meeting, Thursday vet trip + church meeting, Friday cake pickup and birthday party. Maids are coming Friday rather than the usual Wednesday, so I have a brief reprieve on that.

Re: Shrove Tuesday
Snow stopped falling and the light ground coating melted. If I listen very carefully, I can pretend to hear the *sighs* of teachers and students that school isn't being dismissed early.
I'm steadily working but trying to take it slow. For the first time in days my stomach feels normal. I've eaten 2 cups of soup with several crackers and all is well.
Slowly things are returning to normal...
Kitchen is operational again.
Meal planning/prep is under way again.
Laundry basket is empty with the last load drying now.
Dare i tackle the mound of paperwork? >>>shuddering<<<

Re: Shrove Tuesday
I am shuddering with you, OKay. My "Moles" today are mostly paperwork chores and papers concerning county permits, etc. So, lots of phone calls made.
I had a statement to do and some of those bills haven't been received. DH is not good at giving me packing slips as he picks stuff up. I tried to look online at one company and could not access our account - AGAIN - and had to have everything reset by the corp office. I asked her to put in a complaint that their site is not user friendly. This is the 3rd time I've been unable to do this. Anyway, we got it set up and I printed out a page of instructions for myself and attached to the front of the folder...so maybe it will be easier next time. One can always hope.
The video is funny! My goodness that fellow was taking his game seriously, wasn't he?! So like a male.
I've given up on the bible study. I'll go back to it tonight after DH is asleep. It's irritating to get interrupted over and over.
I have a turkey thawing to cook tomorrow. I couldn't pass up the price for that much meat. It is 12 1/2 pounds. It will feed us for a while.

Re: Shrove Tuesday
I had a morning nap, but now have had my s2s, sorted and started laundry, eaten breakfast & lunch, took pills & supps.
I am embarking 2 projects, which is #1- an on-going master list for housework
I found a royal blue journal with hearts on it, I opened it up and it's dated 1-5-12, with this entry on how I was going to organize my house in 2012. I wrote down each room, everything to do and/or organize in each room, only checked off a few things I'd done, and decided something.
I want my Lent to be "Health & House". Period!
So doing a "laundry catch-up" today and organizing the house and writing job in the journal/steno pad, are my projects for today. I realize I may not finish this project by bedtime, too, but at least I'm off to a good start.
I realize, too, how this perhaps should be listed under another part of the Village here, too, but it's partly a Lent thing and partly an organizing thing, so I don't know where to put this post.
I hope everybody's on the mend and are feeling better today, too!
TTFN!
