Waving from Friday

All the quotes on change yesterday seem to have ganged up on me and so far today - things are running a little better.
I am getting better at dish wash up by 10, Out of LR by 10 also. Last night after shower I sat and did my checklist - a heap of room for improvement there, and journaled. Also read the dated meditation books and wrote a prayer. Then the light went out. 8 hours of shut eye has to help. I'm renewing my will for that.

Going to head over to List. Hoping to have something to show for myself tonight.

(((OKay and LO)))
Just begin.

Hi everyone. Everything that was scheduled yesterday got done, including some extra cleaning in the sewing room. I set the crockpot going when I left home, and I hope that by the time I get back (late) tonight it is not overdone. Tonight at art class we are having a surprise baby shower for a new grandma. I am bringing the cake and have crocheted two baby hats. I got my bank statement this afternoon, but will not be able to balance it tonight due to arriving late. I will do my daily box work and probably crochet on the doll dress.

My pending stuff:
LR clean up
Sewing room clean up
Quicken update/balance
Roof work (won't happen this weekend)
Box work (every day)

We're still waiting on the snow. Can tell it's coming because the dark clouds gathered and temp dropped considerably while I was out this afternoon.

Dentist appt went ok, although the cavity under the old filling was deep enough that I needed a 2nd shot of novocain. :( Fun conversation with the nurse about her search for silly frilly hats for wedding shower guests.

I tried to make a quick stop at A ld i for groceries, knowing that WM would be impossible with people getting ready for snow. Even A was crazy busy. Unfortunately they also chose this week to completely rearrange the store shelves, so even regular customers had to search for most items. I figured that after having to have a tooth drilled, I wasn't going to let anything upset me today. I took my time shopping and found it quite pleasant, and now our freezer and cupboards are stuffed full.

Just tried to drink some water through a straw and  that was a big mistake, even without ice. Sipping carefully from the glass seems to work better. Supper will be a challenge, will try mac & cheese, applesauce, maybe canned sweet potato?

Great day here found 22 eggs one of the hens had a stash of twenty eggs in a nest in the coop loft dgson had not been checking the loft as per our instructions. I looked but they were not visible pretty well hidden. We checked them and used a couple and seem to be fine! This is one memorable day! They were cold small pullet eggs.

Hello! I've cuop a few times today, but just posting now. Thank you for the welcome home, OKay!

You all were much busier than me today. I guess I'm still needing rest from traveling. I did get the basic routine action done, also unpacked suitcases and put away clean clothes, gathered other clothes for lol which I will do tomorrow morning. Dh has a few things to go into wash also. I spent most of the afternoon going through the important mail and paid a couple of bills I didn't have with me.

I just had to take a short nap this afternoon since I couldn't keep my eyes open. I had wakened at 5 am, which I had been doing while in VA. I would hear my ds#3's footsteps in the kitchen and get up to say good morning, talk with him a few minutes then go back to sleep for a couple of hours. This morning dh had a blood test early, so I didn't get back to sleep again.

I've been watching the weather channel off and on during the day to follow the storm. I certainly hope everyone in storm's path stays safe.

Another thing I must do tomorrow is download the few pictures I took on this trip and burn a cd for ddil. We had listened to a collection of country songs while in the car on our way to shopping one day and she liked it so well she asked for a copy.

Dh has just gone back to bed; I will wait til ddogs go out for the last time and then I'll go back also.

The invitation to dfs' wedding came. Just for me since dh was to be away. Actually, we'll both be away since his trip was moved back a few days but we've turned Nashville into a road trip. So we'll get back the day after.

I think we'll take them out for a nice dinner sometime and give them a gift. I wasn't looking forward to being at the wedding by myself, anyway. I would like to go to a shower but am not sure how to get on an invite list. I suppose the place to ask would the best man (ds!)

There's a carrot cake in the oven. Dh was laughing at me because I informed him the batter tasted wonderful and there's no way this cake won't work but I won't be able to taste it after it is done so he'll have to try some for me. He asked why, and I reminded him that I've given up baked sweets for Lent. The batter wasn't yet baked so was allowed!

Dh is having a relatively good day, having delivered the first component of the project. Today is Friday in NZ so they are working together over the internet. Luckily, the cake is going to take the full time to bake so it isn't as if this is keeping dh up.

Tomorrow dh is busy all afternoon and evening but that's OK because it will be Saturday in NZ.

Been trying to research a kind of calcium that won't 'bind up' my stomach. Anyone have experience? Been taking calcium w/D3 since Sept and I'm very tired of the side effect.

DD got home so I was interrupted. She's tired but had a good time. She brought home an autographed tract from Joe Gibbs for dh.

Dee - have you tried calcium citrate? I use Cabots brand as it comes with lashings of other bone required nutrients.
