LynLee - Good Evening

I got up early this morning... not as early as I planned but still it was 30 minutes before I had planned. I have read my daily meditation, played a game on FB, and sent a Navy email. Now I need to d2s and finish my SDR & GRWR. Hmmm if I hurry I might get another 15 minutes of chill time before I have to head out.

Have a Great Day Villagers.

tuesday - passing showers here.

Its funny - the differences a day makes in quotes. Including a couple saved from earlier... They spoke to me at least.

mtg
went to visit a couple of beaches. There is a lot of sand removed by recent weather - and a life guard tower that is missing from in front of the surf club where I had lunch with KiC . There was just a little sand for beach - nasty choppy waves. I managed to eat lunch outdoors between showers, windswept and only slightly sandblasted. Visited another beach and the dunes are undercut into cliffs. River mouth may be on the move again - though it was high tide so I just looked from a dune.
There are strong chances of more cyclonic stuff happening this year so even more sand may be lost before any comes back.

Library - took out 2 books from beach library by an author I've been reading. (Terry Brooks) I still need take my books back to local library. Got caught in rain and with the wearies on the drive home so their return can wait a day or two. Maybe after yoga in the morning.
Bought a clip top bottle to premix my seed cereal in. (approx 1 L. I've done this in a smaller jar and like the convenience.)
Read a book this afternoon/evening. Case written by foster carer Cathy Glass "hidden". Happy ending for a boy snatched from his school and country 5 years earlier - found by his dad despite the odds.

My kitchen needs work. I'm going to leave the dishes tonight. It will be a task that needs to be done before I start another book. I promise - tomorrow.

Last night I cleaned bathroom and toilet floors. Kitchen floor needs a doing too.

Waving to all - 10.35pm here. Good night. and Good Morning.
Just begin.

I love the quotes, Lynlee!!! I've got to start writing them down! Maybe I should just start a folder on my computer to save them in. Some of them are so perfect for whatever I'm facing each day! Thanks!

Good morning all! I was up a little earlier today with dd17 who had to go to school a little earlier than usual for the ACT. If you think of it, say a prayer for her. I made sure she brought some snacks and ate some bfast. She seemed in good spirits when she left. I think she had 20 pencils with her  , a calculator, extra batteries, extra erasers, pens. . . She told me she was probably over-prepared in terms of supplies. Other than that, I've let the dog out, the dog back in, the cat out (separately), the cat back in. I've finished loading the dw and it is now running. I wiped down the kitchen counters and a pot is soaking in the sink. I don't know what happened to kitchen clean up last night. . . I have also cleaned up the mess Lily (the cat) made when she jumped on the table and knocked over on of dh's large handmade vases in which he had put some small magnolia branches that had broken off the tree. The tree is loaded with buds, and he thought it might be nice to enjoy some of the flowers inside, especially after the tree was so badly damaged in the storm. I've put the vase back; it is still functional - just a section of the rim broke off - but this will not endear Lily to dh, whose affections toward her are already ambivalent.

dd14 does not have school today. BUT she does have an oboe lesson at 12:45. Then she has to be at the school by 2 to do hair, etc. for the synchr. swimming state meet tonight. The girls will leave the school around 4. Dh and I will drive up later; I think we're driving together but I'm not sure. It is an hour away and starts at 6:30. We'll be lucky if the meet is over by 10:00. It will be a late night. Fortunately, dd14 has a late start tomorrow morning and Thursday morning, more testing for Jrs. and one day is also for Sophomores.

I wonder if Bookie is getting the snowstorm that had been forecast for her area?
Have a good day at work, scattered!
Thank you for the quotes, Lynlee. Always good food for thought.
Are you out of the chair, lucylee? LOL!
Have a good day Dee! I bet you are good help!

My Day:
-a.m. routine
-I probably should do some laundry
-email my steering committee w/ date of next meeting
- TEACHING; I spent some time yesterday reading some commentaries I got from one of our pastors. very interesting and helpful! I haven't gotten much done on my notes, though, maybe 1 page.
-12:45 dd14 to oboe lesson; auditions are Friday so she is feeling the pressure
-Take dd14 straight from the lesson to the school
-Eventually, drive up to the meet

Off to get the a.m. routine under control.

Quick look in from work...got here a bit late because I had to go back for my phone at home, and I stopped off to vote in a municipal election.

The young man is going to come by the house this afternoon around 5 to feed my ddoggies and play with them a bit. So happy that they will have a little attention - I know they'll still be all over me when I do get home, but I won't feel bad about being so late.

Work continues here quite busy. No rest for the wicked.

Good morning, villagers ~
All of the schools in the area are closed due to winter storm so, according to our sewing group policy, that means our meeting tonight is cancelled. The snow is still coming down heavy this morning. It's supposed to taper off this afternoon but wind will pick up and cause drifts. It's possible the roads will be ok tonight, but just as possible they'll be worse. Just not worth the risk of someone getting in an accident on the way to talk about sewing.

So I'm gaining some time not going to a meeting, but losing it to shoveling snow. :|

... This has been sitting in preview awhile. I had to send out a bunch of emails about the meeting cancellation and also figured out how to submit it to a tv station for their list.

DH decided to stay home today. :)

We will shovel out his car in a little while after the plow has cleared the side street. He uses the shorter driveway. That means I won't have to shovel mine out until Thursday -- by which time the temperature is supposed to be up close to 40 so there should be a lot less to shovel.

We aren't to get your storm, Bookie, instead we go above freezing in the day (and below at night) for the next 5 days. Dh is going to tap the maple tree today since this will be the big week for sugaring off. The sugar-bush is all set to go today (dh dropped by on Saturday morning.) They've already done the first boil but that wasn't very much and it was more of a test run.

I'm up and moving but only slowly today. Didn't exercise.

Got my blood work back. Liver is normal but hypothyroidism is indicated so that would explain the lethargy. Glad to have an explanation. The only issue is that it has been there since my annual physical and my doctor claims I'm in the normal range because she's using old guidelines (and forgot I get my own blood results sent to me so knew what they said.) At least now I'm out of range for the old guidelines too so I'm going to start pushing. The liver specialist started testing me for TSH so I have the numbers from the annual physical in May and then since November when he's been in charge of my bloodwork, not my GP.
