Re: Mystery Monday
Back home and have had lunch.
Physio went fine. One extra exercise added, permission to ice while exercising (that cuts 30 minutes of 'wasted' time each day) and told to do the bike for 5 minutes a day to start and see how my back does.
After that I drove to the suburbs and returned the 'wrong' (i.e. too expensive for what I need) ice packs. Picked up zinc lozenges and more gluten free bread mix so I can try making it again with yeast after I finish up the first yeast-less batch. Heated up soup and bread for lunch.
Am ready for a nap but will try and finish swapping purses, moving to one that has more spring colours than fall colours. And smaller so I can't get a water bottle in it. In the meantime, I also went through my purse collection and have cut it in half. Have a year to cut it even further. Half of the ones I'm giving up were in bad shape so went into the garbage, half into the giveaway pile.

Re: Mystery Monday
DONE!!
Breakfast and meds
Dishes
Cleaned off counter
Filled meds container for week
Cleaned off one end table
STARTED!!
Grocery List
TODO!!
Boxes in Den
Sewing table
Sort papers
My focus today is to get a really good start on the den. It still has half empty boxes from the remodel - most of these things don't have a place to go - so a place must be made or they need to be discarded.
A lot of paper must be sorted to find tax stuff. I let DH go thru the mail for about a month and those papers weren't taken out. I must also determine what medical bills are to be paid (i.e. match bills with EOBs from Medicare and BCBS to see what we owe.)
I have been using the sewing table for a junk collector of anything that didn't have a home. Most should be thrown or found a home for.
By the time I get that much done - I will need a nap. TTFN

Re: Mystery Monday
Hello Dear Ladies,
Things have quieted down so that I'll try to get over here more often.
Beautiful sunny day here, the temps are only in the 40's but that's okay.
Working away on laundry and cleaned parts of the kitchen too.
Anyone feeling the effects of daylight savings time? Doesn't seem to be bothering me so much this year. Of course it's still early in the day, maybe I'll feel differently come evening.
Gotta pay some bills. Keep going with laundry. And try to get some more cleaning in.
Great Day to all!

Re: Mystery Monday
It's hard to reply when I've been away too long. But was thinking about Cathy's closet moisture problem. I would put one of those dishes of da m p r i d or some such product in there. That collects the moisture away from other things.
(Twins) hard to read a report like that I'm sure.
Good luck, Harriet with your dr. appointment.
I am still not feeling well. My head is so full I am a little dizzy. Yesterday I helped get the house ready for small group. I wiped every surface down with clorox wipes, then I went back to bedroom while everybody was here. Thought I'd read or watch TV, but that much activity just had me exhausted so I slept through the whole thing!
I was sure I'd feel better today. Nope. Well maybe a tad. At least DH has been helping a bit around here. I've come to the conclusion he just doesn't know how to do stuff. Does not know how to operate the dw. or the washer. or the dryer. And he really does not know how to cook except fried stuff. pancakes, sausage, bacon. Job security for me I guess.
Trying to dig out my desk today. Yikes. Piled up badly. Still working on that. Really want another nap. Trying to stay up a bit more.
I hate time changes. I dislike dark mornings; I dislike early dark evenings too. Can't have it both ways I guess.

Re: Mystery Monday
Had a lie down for an hour and dozed a little bit.
Dd called to arrange a visit home. Yay! She'll come for 2 days at the end of April.
Didn't get my purse swapped out so need to finish that now. And refill vitamins and then work on the sewing project.
Got a nibble on the under-the-bed drawers I have up on Freecycle.
BTW: I joined one FB group called FREEcycle Ottawa. Immediately, someone started to bug me to join her group, Ottawa Freecycle. I asked what the difference was - "different owners, members" came the terse reply. The group I joined only had 400 members, hers had 600 but then I looked at the member list. The group I joined includes a girl from my daycare. The group trying to pouch me includes my dfs' step-mother (who abused him and is the reason he ended up with me.) Guess which group I think I'd rather be associated with?!

Re: Mystery Monday
I've been doing the Mon. a.m. dig out here! I spent 45 min. just on the counters in out kitchen trying. The other child was a no show wondering if I have misunderstood and she might only be here on thurs. & Fri.
Dgd & I have been out to feed the hens and chicks.
We've made rolled cookies also with chocolate dough from last week I set aside. She asked if it was the day to make cookies or just eat them? LOL!
Lunch is done.
Fog has rolled away to sun now so I'm thinking it's time to get outside and do some thing in the sun the chickens run could use a cleaning I noticed dgd likes to dig in the garden areas so that seems to be a winner. For chore next up.

Re: Mystery Monday
I'm taking a study break and drinking some water. I'm cranking through the Hebrew quickly, which is good b/c I didn't allow myself much time. This chapter is familiar, as is much of the vocab. - and there's a lot of repetition as well.
Done:
x a.m. routine
x 2 lols dried, folded, and put away
x called orthodontist; dd17 will redo the braces on her bottom teeth. Her retainer no longer fits, and her teeth have moved. We have decided (with her input) to redo them. She will help pay (a little) since it was her negligence that did this. Maybe that will motivate her to wear her retainers more consistently in the future.
x Hebrew translation work.
It is now raining outside. The girls will be home in about 15 minutes.
Dfriend from California called and left a message. I didn't pick up b/c I didn't have the time this afternoon to chat. I've made a note to call her back tomorrow. We're trying to figure out how to get our families together for a visit. Dh sees them regularly b/c he travels to the Bay Area regularly for work.
Nancy is reminding me I need to check on the hens. They are currently huddled under their coop, outside but keeping out of the rain.

Hi everybody!!
WOOT WOOT!! Success at W M getting a replacement camisole. Exact same size and style. I just bought the other ones last year.
Ellyphant~yes, we are headed out on another cruise. Holland America Line has the quiet, restful style of cruising that Mike and I fell in love with the very first time we cruised on them in 2007. Plus every ship has a different art collection on it, so we enjoy that aspect as well. Mike loves Esher, and the Zaandam had a lot of Eshers and a collection of musical instruments, so Mike was happy before we even got to our cabin.

Re: Mystery Monday
Well, I have frittered this day away. But I have enjoyed myself. No tv today and very little computer. I did change sheets and have a chicken in the oven for supper. Found lots of piddling little things to do. It turns out my to-dos for today can all wait until tomorrow. No one should follow my example!
Ah, CATHYS...very nice. A quiet, restful cruise would appeal to me more, too. Dh and I did one cruise about 10 years ago with his extended family. We all went separate ways during the day and would eat together in the evening. It was nice, but by the end of the week, we were ready to eat alone.
