Saw our first pink-blossoming trees today as I took dd home from school and I told her the Robin Williams quote.

While dd33 was here she marked all her 2 grandmothers' daffodils that are at edges of trees (my mother's at that house and my dfirstmil's at our house).

Elizabeth, you may tell dd for me, "Eeeeeeeeewwwww!" I remember suddenly being instructed to touch boys while learning dance in elementary, and it was one disgusting day, let me tell you.

mamapiano, thank you so much for popping in. (Some little bird was sure smart to tell you we'd like that.) So nice to hear you are still a big part of your church music program. I know they appreciate your talents. I hope the fibro is not bugging you too much.

Thank goodness you are starting to feel better, Harmony. Amaryllis have always been one-pot wonders here, and never living over. Just don't have the climate for it.

I have exercised 45 minutes, the total workout. Feeling virtuous.

Really hurt my right index finger while cooking my ddad's supper. Bent the nail way back. Just trying to move too fast.

Meant to say that I was joining the wide-awake folks in the middle of the night last night.

Repeating myself but it sure it nice to see mamapiano! :D

♫ ♫ ♫ HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAMAPIANO! ♫ ♫ ♫

I've gotten going on the laundry load #2 is in the dryer now.
Waiting on the over flow part to dry now from the washer before I finish with the last load.

I worked on the table today instead of the counters again.

Dgson is here working on home work today.

We've 52 m.p.h. wind gusts thunder lightening rain and hail in some of the colder places. It's stopped raining here now but still a bit on the breezy side.

Ivy: my hard deadlines are either the day before the Sunday I'm preaching, if I'm printing off the bulletins myself, or what ever day the secretary prints on. So when I'm preaching for another church, I respect that secretary's work schedule.

For Easter Sunday, I'm doing the sunrise service for our area (it is an ecumenical service in a park but sponsored by my pastoral charge) and am expected to produce the bulletin myself so I have no idea why the minister wanted me to do it this week. I still have a full week until the normal deadline for the secretary to do it, but in this case, I'm doing the printing, have a key to the church and office and my computer works with their printer, so there's nothing to stop me from running them off on the Saturday night.

Dh and I had a quick dinner and then cleaned up before his friend arrived for a visit. I have the load of laundry hung up and should now go to the basement to work on my sewing project (which is still not done - adding fleece to the bottom of my dressing gown to make it full length.) I could watch/listen to my theology video at the same time and multi-task.

I've been so blessed today to see all your sweet birthday greetings. I figured you would have forgotten all about me by this time! Lilac, thanks for suggesting that it was Emptynester who told me on Facebook. You are absolutely right! I've had phone calls, emails, flowers, gifts, till I'm practically overwhelmed this evening. Plus a lot of Happy Birthday greetings from Facebook friends. Many of my FB friends are former students and that goes back a LONG time. Not all the way to the beginning of my teaching years of course. It's a weird feeling to realize that very possibly those people have all passed away. When a young person starts teaching their first students aren't all that much younger than they are!! So my contacts now are entirely from the two schools I taught at in Florida.

I'm rambling! Sorry! Time to do a couple other things that need doing and close down the computer.Good night and sweet dreams all.

I'm feeling better now after h. helped dgson with his math that is very draining for me, I was feeling puny any way, dinner helped so that is good and I had a cup of tea so glad that helped the storm passed through also winds are better but it kicks up from time to time. Cooling off like twenty degrees br-r and boo I liked it better in the 65* range!

Done the sewing project. So that's one less thing in my way in my creative room (although there are two scraps of material leftover.) Each time I'd move the dressing gown I'd prick myself since I had the extra piece pinned in place. Not sure where I'll be storing my sewing machine but it will be making the move with me. I don't sew often but I seem to have odd jobs that I need it for (mainly sewing things to hold dh's music equipment, using pant legs off old jeans.) I can blind hem as well as sew a seam so I'm not useless with the thing but I'd never sew from a pattern since that is like torture to me. I've done it in the past, know I can do it, but choose not to do it!

Dd wrote with a list of the books she wants so tomorrow I can finalize the keep/toss boxes and we can get the boxes to the school next week. Yay! to more stuff going out of the basement.
