Napped for well over an hour. Dh made dinner and ds arrived just as we finished it (he had told me he was coming after supper.) I've done 80% of the kitchen tidying and chatted with him.

Ds brought large poster/picture frames from his place (he bought 9 for $65 from clearance at IKEA) but none are perfect for the two large prints of his photos he gave me for Christmas 2011. I need to come up with a display solution for those and framing professionally will cost a fortune. For a year we had them under the plexiglass on the kitchen table but we usually have maps there and missed them so after Christmas I put maps back. The prints were stored under the coach in the basement but now that I'm packing and shifting stuff around I wanted them more safely stored. I still have the box they came in so could roll them up, but I'd prefer to keep them flat and have them on display.

Ds has laundry on now but I'll take over and finish it for him - he's gone off to bed. He worked overnight last night (and Friday) plus worked at the ski hill so he's exhausted. He's goes back to work on Tuesday night so might stay here for a few nights, not just one.

Hi everyone! What a crazy weekend! I had DD11 all weekend and absolutely NOTHING went as planned, but a good time was had by all. The plan was: Gravity Park (wall-to-wall trampolines), Titanic exhibit, select yarn for me to crochet a vest for DD. What happened:

Saturday started with Girl Scout cookie booth, where DD and a friend plotted the rest of the weekend. The friend came for a sleepover, where they watched movies, painted wooden houses and castles, and painted their hair with magic markers (washable). While they did each other's hair, whoever had to sit still looked through my crochet magazines. This resulted in a commission for me to make two tiaras (one complete, the other more than half done).

Sunday, the other girl's father called to say she was needed for farm chores. DD wanted to do that and was excited to see baby goats and help out. Unfortunately, the other girl got in trouble and their plan to get their nails done at a salon was derailed, and the other girl had to go home. DD and I ate lunch quickly, so she could call another friend who had been trying to reach her to come over. That got done and they watched a movie and played in the park until XDH came to pick her up. This friend went with her to XDH's house and my house is pretty quiet right now.

What I need to do in the remaining part of the day:
Get paint off my floor (DD got most of it up, but missed a few places)
Eat dinner
Pay bills
Balance checkbook
Upload pictures of my completed doll dress to Ravelry - DONE - see http://www.ravelry.com/projects/TheOthe ... h-birthday
Relax with a crochet hook

Next week DD wants to go to the Titanic exhibit.
