Good Morning Villagers!

I am up and d2s working on my coffee. DS20 and I are heading out here in a little bit to get our hair cut, grab some breakfast, pick-up some groceries and a few items at L owes. After we get home I will need to gather some laundry and then get on my homework. I purposefully scheduled the first appointment available with my stylist, I figured it would get me up and going so I could get more accomplished this weekend then I have the last few weekends.

Good morning! I am up, have had my first mug of tea, and have cleaned the kitchen - b/c we went to bed with it a mess. Dd17 is up too, which is odd, b/c she is my child who can sleep until noon, if we let her. . . . .

There is bright sunshine streaming in the windows and I can hear the birds singing! Lovely.

Lots to do today:
-errands, may not get to all of them: WF for hot cross buns for tomorrow a.m., groc. store, get passport photo for dd17 - not for her passport but to upload for her ACT re-take exam next month - although she did very well on the first iteration (she has very high standards - but can relax on the retake, which is nice for her), and pick up dd14's lenses.
-CLEAN the house, including a thorough dusting; we will be hiding little eggs (foil covered chocolate ones) with dfriends for 5? teens to find, so people will be in all areas - including drawers, etc., of our house.
-look more into camping areas for S2; I feel slightly irritated, like she left town and dumped this project in my lap. She probably is not expecting me to resolve it; I may be taking that upon myself, but we're already way behind the 8 ball in getting reservations, and our first choice park is full (though they leave 50% sites open for first come first serve, a policy of which dh would like to figure out how to take advantage rather than go to a less nice park, which is what we're now looking at. . . . ) The nicer ones of those are also almost full.
-go for a jog with dh
-maybe pick up ds? It's now not clear if he is coming home tonight or tomorrow

I forgot to take the lamb out of the freezer. I'd better do that -- now!!

I'm up at six on Sat. the birds woke me, but it's worth it the sunrise is great today! Apricot trees has white blooms on it and the nectarine and purple leaf plum trees have pink blossoms on them in our back yard this week. So lovely!

Coffee is done.

I've gotten the chicken food containers filled ready to go out for feeding the chicks and hens in a bit. Pumpkin is thawing I forgot to get that out last night. My gardening show is on at seven I'll feed them after that they had plenty when I did the p.m. chickening last night. Got 3 eggs yesterday. I swept the patio off while h. finished his lunch after work and watched while I fed them some pop corn I tried to do in the oven with less than perfect results. But they did not seem to mind.

BS was acceptable but could use some improvement so I'll get on the ex. bike soon as I'm done here.

Tonight for dinner is h's choice in honor of his bday [buffet I think] w/dson. It's near H ome D epot* so I told him I'd like to go there either before or after the meal to get the construction fencing for the hens to keep them off the areas we will be seeding or putting new sod on. *Note to self I need to price sod while we are there.

I hope every one Sat. is humming along smoothly today! I watched the "Stewart Little" video w/ dgd yesterday well most of it and had not seen it before I enjoyed it and it seemed great for yer 4 yo age bracket. Just thought that I'd mention that.

I seem to be out of the funky mood I was in thanks for mentioning that in your post yesterday Harriet.

I am going to get my timer (so sad - it's the only way to keep me focused) I also have to listen to something, I got a book online so that helps.
I am trying something. I bought a percy jackson book in French and hope to keep my brain fresh by working on translating it. I am looking for some talks this summer .
has anyone been to washing dc and have any suggestions for safety, places to stay etc. also boston

Hello Dear Ladies,

We had rain last night, it was a hard rain, literally as there was hail with it too. Just thankful for the precipitation no matter what form it takes.

Another day of having the Easter bunny at Wal-mart. And yes Harriet I do the announcements when I'm there. Been complimented on my clear speaking and enthusiasm. We used to be able to do a lot more announcements about what was on sale in different parts of the store. Always had good results from it. But then the company said no more announcements in any WM. Customers were complaining-? Thinking it might be from announcements not being heard well. But they let us do them every now and then.

Our supervisor had to have a little talk with all the ladies in our area last night. I knew it was coming. Last weekend we had some people out on vacations and one lady was very sick so were short-handed to begin with. Our supervisor was not there and different members of management had different projects they wanted us to do. There was no way we could even satisfy one of them. so we did something for all but our area was a mess on Sunday evening and of course Monday was the day that home office came by to inspect.

Not good, our store manager got a talk and then it just went on down the line to us. Gave us some clear directions for us anyway about what the priorities are and we will follow them regardless of what other assistant managers tell us to do.

One of the things that affected me was that I let some of my work go to help with other things. I have to re-assemble packages that customers tear open to look at and try to make them look good. Also make price tickets for things that get tore off. Usually someone will bring me something else to do and I'll let my stuff sit for another time. This time it accumulated to a couple of boxes of stuff. Not good. So I have to make sure my stuff is done first.

One of the ladies was upset about being talked to, but I told her the first time that happened to me I had gone home crying but it's just something that happens sometimes, don't stress over it.

Anyway, got to finish up, shower and get out of here.

Having a hard time getting going. That's not good since the stores are probably crowded by now. I have reclaimed the kitchen and made a shopping list; dfriends have pitched in so much with the meal tomorrow that all that is left for us is: the lamb (thawing now), drinks (already bought), a veggie snack tray, and gravy, which dh will make. Dd14 is making one of her cakes. Dh is on the speaker phone in the bedroom (I believe with a potential grad student in China?) and has asked me not to disturb him, so I can't do anything in there. I'm going to brush my teeth and get out of here. . .. .

I see I am now looking too big at what I have to do...so it's stalling me... so going back to breaking it down into workable parts. only one thing... at a time.... overthinking won't help me lol.

so thinking what 5 things I can do today that will make tomorrow easier.
