Good Morn---AFTERNOON Villagers!!
I slept in today way way later than normal. Just getting to feeling 'human' now. We had a very nice slow and somewhat relaxing weekend here. Except for DD. She is going thru a real major emotional turmoil regarding her upcoming wedding. Her and the fiance are not getting along at all lately and she is having serious, but appropriate doubts (He's getting to be rather much of a b**t head lately). She and I went and got some Starbucks, and took a long drive yesterday, ended up parking in a park facing a great big body of water while we talked it out. She is sooo confused right now and I was trying to help her navigate her feelings. In the end, I dont know how much good it did, but she felt abit calmer (anxiety wise) and I felt better that I understood what was going on. She now has to come to the big decision as to whether or not she is going to go thru with the wedding. Last night, she went out for coffee with his sister, but I haven't been able to get much out of her as to what actually went on with that. Maybe later on today she will open up again. Her and I both have the week of of work, so I am not pushing to hard right now.
I tell ya tho, I was exhausted after spending a majority of yesterday with her. The very protective mother side of me came out and wow! That hat is very tiring to wear when you havent had to put it on in so long, lol. She has declared that she just wants to lay in bed today and do nothing except watch old movies, lol. I am endorsing that for her as I think to have no pressure or responsibilty for a day may just help her to clear her head and focus on her decisions.
Me? I am not going to do much more than her, lol. I AM going to go down and make heads or tails out of the disaster zone formerly referred to as the laundry room. I popped down there yesterday morning and was SHOCKED at how out of control its gotten in my absence. Then I will gather laundry and get a game plan for fininshing it over the week. ANd I really need to wash my kitchen floor. ANd I mean REALLY. But right now? I amgoing to watch an episode of Downton Abbey. Always good for my mood, lol.
BB later on. *WAVES* to all!!!!

Re: April Fool's Monday
Hello Dear Ladies,
Yesterday we ended up in the ER with Dson17. Stomach bug and he was running a fever. Gave him fluids through IV for dehydration and some anti-nausea meds. He felt better, did get sick on the way home, we had to stop at an all night pharmacy to get medicine so it took us awhile.
He is home today, resting in his room and drinking gatorade and eating jello.
It is sunshine here and temps are heading for the 70's. For once in a very long time, I don't have the Monday aches so hoping to make progress on the house. I would say I'm behind on the house.
Have laundry going, the dishes need to be put away and I have lunch simmering on the stove. Black beans and rice today.
Off to the adventures.
Great day to all!

~~~Waving Hi to all~~~~
Sadie - I hope DSon feels better soon. ER is not fun!
After yesterday's activities, I brought LO home to take a nap before going to show DMom his Easter outfit. However, LO didn't wake up from his "nap" until this morning! He slept 16 hours straight through! He was one tuckered out little fella.
I'm trying to re-establish our normal routines. i am focusing on the D's and trying to have patience that it will all ramp back up.
** Dinner - I'm going to dump most everything in the refrigerator and start fresh. Normally I use up almost all left-overs but it has got out of control. After the funeral, we packed four large cardboard boxes full of food and sent it to college with DNephew. He and his friends have the metabolism to handle all that food.
** Duds - washer going - dryer ready to receive next load
** Dishes - in progress.
Re: April Fool's Monday
Good solution for all that food, Okay. Been thinking about you albeit I've been absent a lot here lately.
Feel great that I was finally able to make the great room look presentable again. Spring break was this past week and I was able to do very little out there. Now perhaps I can keep it that way. The laundry room is a disaster, but that being said, most of it belongs to GD -she makes the laundry room, her mom & dad's shower, the powder room, her bedroom & adjoining hallway her 'dressing rooms'. And everything ends up on the floor -sometimes even the living room. At least it looks that way.
Only 15 more sleeps, however.
Still waiting for my computer to arrive. Murphy's law: I have to be gone 2:30-3:30 on school run. It is out 'for delivery' and since it has to be signed for -what are the odds it'll arrive in that hour? Not sure dsonil will hear them as he's out in his art studio -a bit behind the house. I'll ask him to keep an ear out, hoping that will help him 'hear'.
Can't wait to open up the new puter and start trying to learn it. Maybe that's been my good mojo today.
Gee, was that a downer April 1st thought?!? I was trying to be funny! (trying)
(lucylee) and (Lynlee), you were only supposed to think of ONE thing you're behind on!
itneverends, I hope your dd can use this day to sort out her thoughts.
((Sadie's ds17)) feel better soon.
helia, what a good egg-forcement idea!
Enjoy the new connectivity, Dee.
Oh my, BookSaver, that really better not happen to me!
With my cooking that would mean I'd lost my taste buds for sure.
I've just finished putting away a load of laundry. Went on a walk with my ddad. Fielded plenty of calls from family. My uncle had an outpatient procedure that may be turning into an overnight stay and I may be on call to stay a while with my aunt.
Not that I don't appreciate someone else doing the work, but I think my taste buds have adapted to what I fix at home.
Re: April Fool's Monday
3/4 of a ton of cactus was just taken to the dump. We know - we pay by the pound!!! It cost us $30. But it was WAY more worth that to get rid of it.
Unfortunately, when they unloaded the trailer, DH and I got in the way of the cactus dust. Clothes are now washing and we each have taken a shower - but the itchies continue.
Today has been the day for phone calls among other things. I made Dr. appointment for me for Wed, checked with mail order pharmacy for DH's scripts, called Dr. office to remind them and give them phone number as they hadn't sent scripts, called DirecTV to activate box in RV (dbro is coming for the weekend so we'll give him some TV), printed out all the forms for Dr. visit, washed bedding and remade bed, and rode with DH to take cactus to the dump. Oh, and took 2nd shower of the day. I still itch.
Now to figure out something for lunch. TTFN
Re: April Fool's Monday
Hi everyone! What am I behind on? Roof repair, that's what. Once again the weekend did not permit roof work. I had DD11 for Easter and planned egg hunt, church, lunch, Titanic exhibit. When XDH dropped her off Saturday night, he handed me a folder and said her science project was due today! They had not worked on it Sat because the other woman had taken them to a water park. I expressed dismay that the teacher would assign a project with such a close due date. Oh no, he says, it was assigned two weeks ago, but she didn't want to work on it. WHO is the adult here? He knew I had plans, because last weekend, which was an entire weekend for DD and I, I had the same plans. And he just HAPPENED to give me a weekend with a Girl Scout cookie booth (he doesn't like doing them, does anyone?). So I told him that we would be going to the exhibit next Sunday. Instead, we spend the entire afternoon on a science project, which, fortunately, was possible to complete in the afternoon. It was not as well done as it should be, but it was done. I have sent him an email telling him that we are going to the exhibit Sunday and to please not include any surprises like that project.
Tonight after payroll, I need to get yarn and plant pots, dirt, and seeds. I am so close to finishing my jacket! Other exciting plans are: LOL, LR clean up (no, still not done), put away last night's groceries, freezer wrap some stuff. I would also like to get started on some software I am working on for a friend. I will try to at least get a connection to the database up and running. I should also make sure all the plastic eggs are put away. They keep getting rolled around by cats.
What am I behind on? Paperwork!
(How many of you are surprised at that answer?!)
What did I do so far today?
Up at 6:20, out of the house at 7:30, did a border run with ds (picking up dh's autoharp strings and my face cream as well as an assortment of groceries.) Had a diner breakfast with him and then we came home. Had to pay taxes on the purchases (but would have had to do so if they were shipped here or if we bought them here so we are still ahead despite $9 for gas to get there, $10 to have the stuff shipped to the UPS store, $5.50 bridge toll.) We saved $60 on the strings, $20 on the face cream, $9 on a tank of gas, and about $10 on the groceries.
Got home at 12:30 and put ds to bed right away (he'd been up for 27 hours at that point and he works another overnight tonight.)
I've been goofing around on the internet ever since but will take a nap now. I'm exhausted.
Re: April Fool's Monday
I came home from work midday. My stomach is still not feeling right - I'm not throwing up and I only the "runs" once yesterday, but my innards are rumbly and turning over and over. I took a mega nap, hoping I can sleep tonight.
On the plus side, before I left work I put dd's "blankie" in the mail to her, and mailed the Conservator bond to the probate court.
Now if I was smarter, I'd use this time to catch up on some things that have been neglected here. but I'm just hanging out.
