Re: SENSATIONAL SATURDAY
I've mostly stopped sweating from the bike ride. Picked up the parcel and then dropped by the church and left the bulletins.
The sun is out as much as it isn't so I'm sure my sheets will dry.
Second load is going in the dryer (towels which I like soft.) Time for lunch!

Morning y'all...
Keeping fingers crossed, maybe on the downside of this thing. Lost four days with it. My head is sore so is my brain. I call this a "headache hangover "
Waving to y'all.

(Cowinkie)
Sadie, hope your dbrother doesn't get upset about the work getting done on him. Will he understand what's gong on?
We are getting a nice drizzley rain here. Lasting a pretty long while. It will green up the grass. DH was going to cut today, but not now.
Nothing much happening around here. I am working on May's ending in the books, have just written payroll checks and submitted taxes. There's a couple things more to do.
I need to go get veggies and make up a platter for tomorrow. That's about it I guess. Tomorrow will be busier with the funeral and all. It will be 3-4 hours of work.
Hope everyone has a nice weekend.

Re: SENSATIONAL SATURDAY
OKay -- I am very impressed w/your spiral notebook method, especially w/the index pages. Very good idea.
Continuing to keep you, dh, LO, and your whole family in my thoughts and prayers.
Hmmm... well... left to my own devices, I should not worry about dmom... I should worry about ME. I have been lying on the couch since about 11:00 a.m., still in my pajamas, watching old Westerns on t.v. I'm just about useless.
I sooo desperately need to get to work helping dmom w/thank you notes. She gave me all the cards and asked me to address cards and she will go back and write notes. This method worked pretty well w/ds & ddil, but we were sitting side by side while we worked. Don't know how well this is going to turn out w/dmom & I working on our own. * sigh *
However, I will be out of town 6 days out of the next 12, so it's probably a good idea to do it this way. Dmom can work on notes while I am out at baseball games and bluegrass festivals.
Trying to cuop, but only able to respond to what I can see in Topic Review... WAVING TO ALL!!!
So relieved that OKay & family are safe... and glad dh is on his way home, Kathryn... and that Harriet is celebrating w/dfamily...
Hope you feel LOTS better soon, Cowinkie!
And that you continue to improve, Lynlee!
Have fun @ the walk and the lacrosse game, Dee! Continuing to keep dh (and all of you) in my thoughts and prayers, too!
Saying a prayer for safety in your area, Sadie! * I agree, I would not want to be @ Wmart during a tornado. * sheesh * How many people can fit into the restrooms, anyway? That's where I would be running to if I were forced to be in a large open store like that during a tornado!
How terrible for the first place to refuse your dbro like that, but so glad you found a place where people were kind and understanding! (I missed exactly what he is having done! Hope it is not too invasive or troubling to him!)
I really need to join Kathryn @ the ironing board.
I really, REALLY need to get my act together. I have just spent this first week off doing absolutely NOTHING (except walking 4 days! That IS a big ta-da, actually! Oh -- and I finished reading The Great Gatsby, along w/the Barron's notes to accompany it.) But I have to get a little better organized... get back in the box... make a daily list... quit piddling away my days so totally.
Waving to Twins! Sounds like a good day there!
Waving to Harmony! Have a good day!

Oh my goodness, Helia!!! If you could peep in my windows, you'd feel just like Martha Stewart!!!Yesterday was a bit of a dud in terms of productivity.

Re: SENSATIONAL SATURDAY
We are going to the lake house of some friends in a bit - he called dh earlier and I agreed we will go. (My introvert soul is kind of quaking in my shoes.....)
My poor dMacs swam today at PT - she filled up the water treadmill and had him walk a minute, then added water and he swam for a minute. She had a float vest on him with a handle on his back, and supported him by the handle and under his tail (to keep his feet up) while he swam. He's a tired boy.
I laid down to nap myself, knowing he would probably come in the bedroom and lie down on his bed. I slept almost 3 hours in a hard sleep.
Tomorrow I'll deal with all the mess, I'm sure Scarlett said that, didn't she, Lucylee? Without even thinking, I ate the other half of my pizza from last night when I got home earlier.

Re: SENSATIONAL SATURDAY
Hi everybody!
Took yesterday off work. I had a delightful mental health kind of day. Joined Mike in a drive to the mall because he had a dental appointment for a cleaning. Came straight home after that and I crawled into bed and read.
Today has been more of the same. Slept in and then spent a few hours reading a couple of "Live froms" on the H olland A merica C ruise C ritic boards. Thank goodness we have booked another cruise, because I would be bugging Mike and comparing prices right this minute! I'm a bit concerned about safety right now, but dh booked us on a Holy Land tour for November.
Mike is currently grocery shopping and I am about to call my best friend. That should be good for at least an hour on the phone.

Re: SENSATIONAL SATURDAY
It was a nice step for ddil and memorializing DZoe, Okay. DDIL sent me lots of pictures. Love 'em! There were a lot of people there for "Team Zoe". Of course there were several others. Local places like T im H ortons had free food/drink booths. Think S ubway and more were there as well.
Getting ready to storm most any time. They have stayed away so everyone has been able to enjoy the day for the most part. Dh hung our changing icicle lights. He was going to try to plant a few cucumber & squash plants, but the storm is coming too soon. Everyone around here lost both for some reason. A friend from the park brought him just a couple of both today.
All of a sudden it's fairly quiet out there.

Re: SENSATIONAL SATURDAY
Lucylee: you reminded me about the ironing, I plum forgot!
Still working on the long prayer for tomorrow. I need to buckle down and just do it!
String of storms going through right now so I'm on battery because my desk in the kitchen doesn't have a surge protector. I think I'll move to the living room which does.
I moved the counter top oven to the balcony and preheated it but when I was putting dinner in it, I heard the thunder. Debated, checked the weather site (severe storm warning) and so had ds carry the HOT oven inside. The rain held off until dinner would have been done but still I'm glad I moved it inside. Will check temps now, perhaps outside temps have dropped and I can open windows.
When the rain came it was a wind whipped deluge and there are puddles 1/3 of the way into the garage. Two days ago, ds had a cardboard box there but I made him take care of it so all that got soaked, I hope, are bins.
Dh is in Toronto. So far his flight should be on time. Assuming the storms don't hit our airport and start causing delays when they pull workers off the tarmac while there's lightening.

Re: SENSATIONAL SATURDAY
We just had one of those hard storms until a few minutes ago too, Kathryn. It was real scary just before the storm hit. I've never seen the wind whip up through here like it did. Can't imagine the horror of being in all those tornadoes. It's calmed down here a little bit. Dh was just worrying about many Boy Scouts who are camping here this weekend. We're hoping they took shelter in the bathrooms -which are all cinder block. Their tents would certainly have been no help at all. Hopefully they had enough warning that they took all those tents down before it hit!
We've had our dinner -warmed up chili. Tasted good. We'll probably head to bed fairly early.
Thinking about doing up the dishes tonight. Know I'll never regret it come tomorrow morning.
Think the worst of the lightening is past so maybe I can proceed.
I had my computer unplugged too, Kathryn. Think I can also plug that back in.

Re: SENSATIONAL SATURDAY
I pushed myself and have the dishes done. Now have to plug in one of the scents & wall flower that came in the mail today. Then it's getting ready for bed time. Dh just went up to take a shower. This could be interesting when he's first recuperating I think. We do have a shower in our RV, but he'd rather take one up above as he can stay there as long as he wants. (We have to pay $.15/gal to have our septic tanks pumped. So we're somewhat careful how much water we put down in the tank.) But not to the point of being foolish. Dh always tells me -"Don't skimp". I'm just somewhat frugal.
Have a good night -going, saying prayers for calmer weather everywhere. My heart just aches for all those in our mid lands.
