Church was excellent this morning. DH & I sat and listen to the whole sermon together (I didn't work in children church this morning and no elder duties called DH away). I enjoy taking notes and jotting down how the sermon relates to me. Today's sermon was about temptation. I had plenty of personal notes about that subject!

Lunch at local cafe was good, however out typical crowd wasn't there. We sat at a table by our-self and ate.

This afternoon calendar is clear. I'm going to enjoy these few hours. Nap time!

Sunday Clarity certainly was a good title for Kathryn. Glad she's getting the help she needed. Thank you, Ken, for updating us. I'm sitting in that waiting room as well. We've all spent a lot of time doing that lately.

When one of us is hurting, the rest of us pull together to send loving thoughts, prayers and comfort in a huge cyber hug.

Exactly, well said, Cowinkie! I'll attest to that.

Dh's visiting nurse came for about an hour. As I suspected, he's pushing too much to walk further. She had him walk our deck and his oxygen level came tumbling down. She'd asked if he got out of breath walking & he didn't think so, but I did. He probably walked about 500 steps or so the last time we walked and I felt it was too far. So he needs to take a step back. She's sending their regular nurse on Tuesday to check him & then she'll be back on Thursday to remove the seal over his chest incision. He just had a pain pill about an hour ago and is snoozing. A couple are coming about 4 to see him for a short visit. (Find I really appreciate that phone call, as visitors can become too much sometimes -especially in our environment. Everyone here knows dh -he might as well be "Mayor" if we had such a thing here).

Back in from putting up fence for the chickens h. was a real sweetie helping me to figure out how to do a gate as I had it backwards! You would think after I did one and have seen others I could figure it out but that was not the case. Anyway the chickens are happy and we've already had a compliment from the neighbors on how the green blends in better than the orange did. Dd stopped by and liked it as well.

H. got some bird netting around the patio so it's more secure and smaller chicks can't get out through there either.

We had grilled link sausage with eggs for lunch yum!!! It's cooler outside today here so that is nice we moved the small Webber to the patio first time we've used it since I've cleaned the up patio off this year. Swept it again as it was collecting rose petals from winds the past day or two.

bcuz i am a tough prick my iv line is in my right arm so i cannot type properly, or eat or do anything else. everything is laid out for right handed people and my share of the room is 6' x 7' so there is no room for anyone to visit unless they sit on my bed.

there's lots of room in the virtual waiting room. pain is under control.

this hospital doesn't offer internet so i am tethered off ds' phone while he is at dinner and then will use our emergency backup wifi stick that only has enough data for email.

tomorrow is procedure 1 so nothing to eat or drink after midnight.

I've gone through all the paperwork emailed to me by the nursing home and completed and signed etc. except for one agreement that had a skipped page, and another set of documents related to establishing a resident fund for which I had questions. I'm scanning these docs back in but my scanner is soooooo slow. I could have gone to the office before and scanned them quickly but that's not an option now. (I turned in my key when I left on "sabbatical.")

Joining others in the virtual waiting room. As far as the surgery, I have been there and done that, and have the scar to prove it. I had mine done about a year before they quit making a large cut. So it was 8 days in the hospital. But I feel so much better now.

Church was wonderful this morning and then I came back and slept most of the afternoon.

DH has stuff laid out for dinner, so next up on my list is to sort clothes that will go in the MH.

Oh Goodness!! Sorry to hear you're back in hospital Kathryn. I'm waiting with the others in our Virtual Waiting Room for good news. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Thank you to Ken for letting us know!

My dh had his GB operation 49 or 50 years ago. The dr also took his appendix at the same time for good measure while they were in there. Of course he has the big scar, too. He had the same symptoms with heartburn, pain and nausea; made a big difference when it was all over.

We had a quiet day yesterday; ds#1 had to work and dgkids had a bowling banquet after their last game, so no one could come. I took the day off and just enjoyed myself with the newspaper, my Kindle and a nap. This morning I was rested and raring to go. Got all the weekly tasks done early and after lunch worked on cleaning out my email inbox. Dfam#2 came for dinner and stayed a little longer since school is out and they don't have to get up quite so early. We had a birthday cake from Publix for dson...yesterday was his 39th birthday. That seems so strange to think that many years have gone by since he was a tiny baby!

We had another rain shower yesterday afternoon and today. Actually, it rained pretty hard, but it was hot and humid, so the rain cooled the air a little.

Dee, it's good to hear your dh is home again. He will be stronger and stronger a little at a time!

MT, you are doing well with your walking. Better to take it easy at first.

Anyway, that was my day.

Well, dd and I were a little but HRH is very pleased and says to tell Kathryn congratulations on a faster plan of action and on being taken seriously. I'm sorry to hear things seem a little crowded right now physically, but at least the calendar for feeling better is opening up. This will make good sermon fodder one of these days.

Hope Mr. DeeClutter finds his pace!

Our morning at church was very good. I tried to look at it through the eyes of our teen visitor and I think it was a positive morning. OKay, I was making a bulletin full of notes, too.

We tried to catch a bite to eat afterward (3 of us) and our first stop could not seat us, our second choice had just gone out of business and it took a lot of driving around and waiting to get lunch! Then we went by to visit my cousin whom Kathryn has met. He had a book for me. Unfortunately, by that time my weather headache was back. I had to send dd in to a store to get me a Pepsi to take a pain pill. Then we got dd's friend back home and visited a bit with their family. Then I did feel well enough to pick up the 2 prescriptions waiting at pharmacy one, but not well enough to pick up the few groceries also on my list. Even now, we are kinda doing without a few things but it's just not worth it when the outdoors makes your head hurt.

I got a nap, which was very helpful considering I had been awakened by so many things through the night. HRH's cell phone started beeping (without a good battery charge) in his pants pocket at 3:00 a.m.! Good grief. "Honey, your pants are beeping." "They'll get over it, go back to sleep." Sigh. That wasn't possible!!!
