I love the stamp idea, Harriet1 Have to remember that one. When we went to a bridal shower for DS-R's first wife -quite a while ago, just when self stick stamps came out -we included some of those in her gift. Think I had forgotten.

So glad to 'see' you doing, better, Kathryn. Sure Ken & ds will be glad to have you home. Also so glad for you both this didn't happen while he was on his trip.

Went to dh's family doctor this morning. He told us something new -that dh's aortic valve before was down to .6 centimeters, allowing practically no blood flow away from the heart. So that was way less than it was even last year when they thought they were going to be doing the surgery. I'm just thankful he didn't just 'drop' one day!
Unfortunately we completely forgot to sign some "disclosure" papers while we were at the Dr's office!! Now we'll have to go back down there to do that -hopefully tomorrow morning. It's a good 45 minute trip from here. These are his disability papers. Dang!

Woke up at 3:30, finally read for 1/2 hour about 4:10 and woke back up at 5:40 -been up since then. I was dragging all morning.

Dcamper friend moved dd's MH to a site this morning. She actually is parked on the same site she picked out last year. It's just kitty-korner from DS-R's so that'll make it good for dgs8 to pop over there in the mornings this summer.

DD said they put up at a hotel just north of Richmond last night - Com fort Inn -$59 for her & GD -$25 for her black lab. She called shortly after 8 this morning from Fredericksburg, VA so they should be getting through PA by now. Expect they'll be here by late afternoon.

Think dh and I are going to try to take a cat nap for a bit if we can squeeze one in. Usually about that time, someone happens by.

Checking in to see how K in C is doing!
I called in to get an Rx refill to pick up tomorrow.
Back from a long walk.
The baby napped in the stroller toward the end of it.

I've gotten a couple more rounds done.
Vacuumed the back of the house.
Rounded up the laundry.
Lunch is over chicken & spinach soup.
{Feeling some what better but still productively coughing.}

Looking in after a couple of busy days - and delighted that Kathryn had her surgery already! Yes, go easy with everything, you've had a rough time of it (and the time before the surgery affects your recovery from it) but you should start feeling better soon.

And thoughts going out to all the rest of you with medical concerns - your own or your family's.

Our weather has been jumping all over the place - hot, cold, hot, cold... which has been hard on my body - I'm a bit achy in general. I'm doing better than I was for several years, though... much less pain. Just hoping I get a bit of energy back soon I still tire way too easily.

Home!
Hooray!!!

Not much to tell here... dgs napping... dh walking... I am waiting on dcousin who is late (as to be expected). She is supposed to be bringing CD of Easter pictures she took of dgs.
No -- that is not a misprint. Easter. She is an excellent photographer -- formerly had her own studio -- but she is very forgetful now that she is a stay-at-home mom.

DGS is going home tonight. Ddil traded nights w/a coworker.

Today, I have called dmom on phone (and guess what -- there was miscommunication re: the date/time of appt w/foot doctor and she missed it! Now she is just going to wait and have it done, maybe, w/the bunion surgery -- which will involve me and/or dh as drivers... oh well... it's not anything extra beyond what I had expected.)

I also called to get on the list for Grand Ole Opry tickets in 2014. * sigh * DH is very obsessive and this is how we assure ourselves of the very best seats possible.

Just waiting... could be downloading some pictures of my own to be developed at Wmart, I guess.
Tomorrow is another day.

I'm out on the balcony. Dh managed to get the two shade structure roofs up on his own and I'm in ds' zero gravity chair on the balcony. Perfect weather and so nice to be in fresh air.

It was hard leaving my roommate behind - she failed her blood test this morning, and despite being released by her knee surgeon was held up by another doctor who wanted her to have a transfusion. So that was still going on when I left. She is a wonderful woman and I hope to keep in touch with her.

My bosom friend just called to welcome me home and ds is awake. He's in trouble because he is booked in two places in the hospital tonight. This is a mess. Plus his dad wants him to help him with the bug netting over the shade structures. So he's groggy and be snapped at which is unfair. Of course, I think he's the golden boy right now because he's been so great to me all week.

I got a red rash on my face 30 minutes before leaving the hospital but it seems to have passed through. I can only assume it was the ham salad I was given for lunch. I've never eaten it before in my life. Didn't eat much of my lunch because it was so awful but did eat all the fruit, 2/3 of the bun, 2/3 of the ham salad and the crackers and milk. Plus tea. Tea with milk is way better than just tea, so I've been enjoying my tea especially well today (although it was the only thing I consistently could get down, even without milk, while sick.)

Since getting home I've had my pain pills plus a glass of water and an egg.

I'm going to get caught up on all kinds of high-bandwidth video viewing now. I hear that the Daily Show was quite good the other night.

Also check out the recent appearance of Paul McCartney on Colbert Report. Classic response when asked why, in the 1970s, he would take his whole family on the road with him, including the dog, and hang out with his wife. "I liked her." Final performance with McCartney at the keyboard was splendid.

I'm on break but need to make it short! Back to laundry and various scrubbings.

Came home to a box from F T D. Figured a bouquet or plant. Wrong -it was from our church here and was chock full of soduku book, teas, crackers, etc, etc. Dh will thoroughly enjoy this one! He's pretty 'done in' and is now sitting.

Expect dd will be here around 4-4:30 -that's my guesstimate. Her MH is in place -though she'll have to get someone to look at it tonight. Her ac is running/fan or something. Know she was having a problem with it a few weeks ago.

I dozed off and when I awoke I felt like every nerve in my body was JANGLING! Has to be the pumps running out here. Now there are 2. Think I'm glad they run out of gas before the night is over. I've never felt this before. And for some reason my right leg is just plain aching big time. My knee has bothered me but now it's the whole leg. :( Took 2 more t ylenol a while ago. Hope that'll do it.

Have a restful afternoon, Kathryn. We're all looking forward to your being back to your normal self again.

One thing I have to remember is that I'm not recovering from Gall Bladder surgery. I thought the nurse was wrong when she said I couldn't lift for 4 - 6 weeks because I was expecting 2. But I had a hernia operation as well, so the longer recovery makes sense.
