Lisa, how terrific! Hope you and dh are happy as clams. Is dd15 excited?
Sadie, slugs are under-rated! They stay cool and don't obsess!
Twins' Mom, be cautious in use of Roundup and do all the rinsing/washing of hands and arms afterward, etc.
Tendings -
2 gifts wrapped for the bday party.
Checked in with ddil about party planning.
On 2nd load of laundry.
Checked other house, a little work there.
Last evening's TaDas -
Purchased 2 underbed drawers for dd. (high antique bed)
Continuing transfer of dd's clothes and things.
In theory tomorrow -
Comforter/shams arrive.
Nutritionists - my only experience was when my dmother was sent to one, and I was astonished at her lack of knowledge. She just spouted the old axioms that my mom herself had taught in school for years. We were supposed to start a fiber supplement and she was clueless to advise us. I assume that was a very rare situation, and hope Mr. DeeClutter has an informative appointment!!!
Sodium - online journals or even online individual look-ups for foods will give a lot of good info about how much sodium is in a meal or day's diet. Gotta love something that calculates FOR you.
At the church office. It is easier to be productive here because it is such a controlled amount of work. Several tasks (handle phones, check email, set up new bookcase, toss out of date stuff, clean out desk drawers.) But that's it.
This is a peaceful place to work. The office is the old balcony of the sanctuary, closed off with glass and had several purposes before becoming the office. But it has a view of the sanctuary (and the stain glass window) out the inner windows and a view of trees and Main St. out the real windows. I love looking at the trees, especially when it is windy. And when it rains (like today) I'm tucked up under the steel roof listening to the rain.
I worked on 'housekeeping' things all morning so walked to a new cafe I'd been meaning to try out and picked up a sandwich and will now start in on the sermon. At least getting a theme and outline. It is Thursday so I'm fast running out of time.
Those both sound good, MT. Chicken tenders as opposed to breasts which are too much meat for either of us. Know we have to be careful as to barbque sauces etc. I'll have to look up anything to do with sodium content, Harriet. I also love things that calculate for me.
Just had a snack of cucumber slices sprinkled with lemon pepper. They do taste good -to me anyway. Dh agrees. Tried some unsalted chips last night. Not bad or we're getting used to less salt.
Went to bank-I-don't-like to straighten out online access. We only use this bank because they have an awesome commercial coin counter. It will process a bucket of change in under a minute. We use it every week. However, one little savings account in their bank is more hassle to maintain than the 7 accounts at our normal bank. Interacting with them is like talking to someone in a foreign language. They just don't seem to have a clue. How they stay in business is beyond me.....maybe everyone else likes their coin counter too?
Bought $100 of groceries. I only went in the store to buy DPepsi but the sale items were such a good bargain that I decided to stock up.
Went to clothes closet and took pictures. Will get those uploaded to church website ASAP.
Lunch was quick and easy. Sandwiches, pica de gallo, chips, sliced peppers, onions, tomatoes. OH how I love summer fresh vegetable! They make a simple sandwich into a feast!
Just about to go out walking w/ds, dgs, and dh.
THEN... I must "tend" to dh's birthday...
We're going over to dmil's -- hope dmom will join us, too -- for pizza & cake.
Feeling pretty good this morning. Load of clothes just completed in washer... s/s toilets... paid bills... called bank to check for automatic deposit of retirement check... actually read a little bit in a book I've borrowed from ds. So -- progress.
I have colored my hair, painted toenails, showered, ran errands, vacuumed and wiped the interior of the car, ate lunch and folded laundry. Now to get serious about cleaning.

Phone call that dinner tonight cancelled as speaker is delayed in flight. Dh is going to the rehearsal dinner for his friends getting married tomorrow night, I called to see if I should/can go to rehearsal dinner. Not sure what I'd wear, what the dress code is, where it is, or what time.
