Just took 23 tries to get something to scan, save and be emailed back to our financial planner. I HATE this new printer. There are no options, so, therefore, I can't make it do what I want it to do.

Anyway, it is done.

Woke up to a cold (65) and foggy day. Humidity is over 80% and not doing my lungs any good. Oh!! how I yearn for my desert.

Time for breakfast and then - whatever.

MT, I was not surprised to read that you yearn for your desert. You seem so content there, especially since you have moved into your house. Has your contractor finished your bathroom renovation, while you have been gone?

I need to get a shower. My clothes are ironed and I am too lazy to shower, but it must be done..........

Hello Dear Ladies,

It was a busy night at WM with school starting the next day. Lots of shoppers looking for back packs and school supplies at the last minute. Not a good thing to do.

Took a lesson from Okay, and just got up and did something. Swept the kitchen and bathroom, started dishwasher, flipped laundry. Don't know why it is so hard for me to get going.

Have some more vacation time coming up. Maybe that will help.

Great day to all!

MT - You deserve an award for Most Persistent! BWTG on getting the scan done.

I'm feeling good about progress made. Several decisions made and phone calls to implement them done.

The company that has been maintaining our home water softener equipment went out of business. I found new company and called them to come do maintenance. Our RO system isn't producing water like it should

I made myself stop comparing, reviewing and researching drum sets and JUST PICK ONE! Got it ordered.

I'm still in furniture moving status. I've found new place for 2 pieces of furniture. By keeping an open mind and considering possible new purpose for each piece, they are now in their new location. I was doing the happy dance as each one worked out perfectly. I found myself wondering why I hadn't thought about using that piece of furniture in that location before?

We're also measuring some furniture and considering it at different places, OKay.

Yuck, Emptynester, so many tries for one item.

helia, I'm so sorry to hear dh is having pain and needs to wait on running. I hope the dr gives him encouragement.

((Sadie)), hugs at back-to-school time! Oh, I'm sure it was a madhouse, and it makes me wonder if everyone won't be right back again after teachers, etc., fine-tune the supplies lists.

Second batch of 30 more flowers and half the flower centers I'll need are drying now. The centers are so small they become tedious, so when my hands started shaking I realized I needed to wait to finish! They'll dry so quickly that I don't think putting those off a while will hold us up much. Dd is doing the color dusting and has finished dusting the first batch of 20.

She has a friend coming over tomorrow, and they will help me decorate the dining area.

OKay - not too many pats on the back for persistence - that paper HAD to be scanned and sent back - it meant mega $$ for our retirement.

Lilac - I yearn mostly for the dry air. It is really hard for me to breathe in high humidity. I'm not sure what is happening with our bathroom - a friend checked a couple weeks ago and said the old tub was torn out but that the tiles for the shower were still stacked in the kitchen.

The fog has burned off and the sun is shining. I'm S2BF and have had breakfast and meds.

Dinner is started in toaster oven. Angus short ribs being cooked low and slow. Will add that to cabbage, carrots, onions and potatoes cooked in broth when it is time to eat.

Yep, it must be "scanner sickness" today, MT.
Just took 23 tries to get something to scan, save and be emailed
Was probably trying to scan and email a bill that arrived here for her. It was dated July 15th, so if she didn't care if I opened it -was a lot easier to scan & email -or so I thought. One thing that really helped was to actually plug the USB cord from the printer back into the printer. From that point on things worked a lot better. Hopefully she now has it and can print it out.

I went to Geneseo to the W mart there to pick up a new diabetic monitor and strips. Cost is half of what my strips have been. Had to get a new monitor (only $16.xx) but strips are now $9.00 for 50 instead of $20.00. So will make up the difference fairly quickly. Tried to get them in town where cardiologist was yesterday & they didn't have it.

I also wear certain sneakers from W mart and have been looking at every store for weeks! Maybe I'll look online. DGS wanted a specific L ego set yesterday. (He's been so good going everywhere we needed to go that I promised him a treat). But we can't find it. Probably fairly pricey I'm thinking. But maybe I'll look online and order & put away for his birthday in NOvember.

Dh is snoozing and talking in his sleep -unusual. Friend was here and he fell asleep while friend was here. Friend is coming back to lay down some mulch around our deck. DS-A got quite a bit of rubber mulch and brought a load to us. Of course dh is in no condition to do anything with it. We live in such a great community! :D

Hi Twins -- lots of busyness in your schedule this month. I hope you can keep your massage appointment.

Hi Dee -- love that Mr Dee feels chipper this morning :) . Hope the W Mart has all the supplies you need. (I see you did, & for a cheaper price, too. Good! :) )

Hi Kathryn -- I hope you can find an answer to the mattress question today.

Hi Harriet -- that was good sleuthing on the mystery package :) . I'm guessing the flower project is part of the decorations for dd party? I'm intrigued by the term color dusting --sounds like the end result will be very pretty.

Hi Helia -- enjoy your well deserved quiet day. You've gotten a lot accomplished so far this summer.

Hi OKay -- that was so smart of you to do practice runs with LO. I hope he has a wonderful first day of school.

Hi Bookie -- wish I could tag along on your trip to the fabric store :) . I remember once having a 50% off coupon & I couldn't use it because the fabric I chose was on sale. I decided to give my coupon to the first person I saw with fabric in hand & it was a large man with a frown on his face. When I offered him the coupon he broke into such a big, delighted smile. It made me happy to have made him happy.

Hi MT -- what a frustrating time with your printer. Way to go on perservering & getting what you needed done.

Hi Lilac -- enjoy your day!

Hi Sadie -- I recently read an article that said the third Saturday in August in usually the busiest for back to school shopping. Hang in there! It will be September soon.

I got an early start this morning despite staying up late. It was so nice & cool this morning; I can feel that Fall is coming. Took advantage of the nice breeze & sunshine to do some weeding. Have to report that I've been disappointed in my English Daisies. They were so beautiful for about a month after planting but then the color began fading, especially the dark cranberry colored flowers that gave such a nice contrast to the white & different shades of pink. The blooms dried up weeks ago, so I have a bed of healthy looking green stems & leaves. I've watered faithfully, & fertilized, but no luck.

It is Zone 3 & for me that includes the basement & attic. I've been puttering in both this week, though doing more organizing than decluttering.

Waving ~~~~~ to everyone, & all who stop by later. Hope you have a wonderful day! :)

Dh not so 'chipper' this afternoon. But even 1/2 an hour feeling more chipper is good.

Dove, I spent an hour on Tuesday and again on Wednesday, weeding. I was on my knees but using a kneeling pad. Today I could really feel it in my back side and legs. I was really surprised to have an issue. Guess I used muscles that normally don't get used.

I have ran my errands. Dd2 and the boys were going to bowl one game before they pick up the girls. Dd2 will either pick me up or I will meet them at the zoo, depending on the time.
