I like the idea of strong magnet - not for fridge but dh has a very ugly filing cabinet that he loves. I could hang art down the side (and have the drawers not facing into the room where they can be seen from the door.)

If I ever get this made, I'll post photos.

Been through the school supplies and have a box to take into church for tomorrow. Musician's family get first dibs. Hopefully the boys are there to pick out what they need/want.

HRH and I took on a home improvement project together this evening and have successfully lighted dd's closet with an overhead fixture. A trip to the store, project-talk with the fellow there, some sensible small purchases, and then home to work. Accomplished with everyone in a good mood, yay.

This is the smaller of our house's two walk-in closets and was deemed by our builder to be too small to require a light when it was built. It's just large enough, however, to really require better visuals when you are in there. You tend to be "in your own light" because of course the room's light is behind you, plus the top of the far wall is in shadow since the wall above the door blocks light. I had attempted some make-do answers over the years, with battery fixtures. But nothing ever seemed satisfactory. Now she has a switch inside at a normal height, and a good bright LED fixture above which should last almost indefinitely the fellow told us. All of us have commented that with the new light on and the closet door open, we are surprised how "distant" the far wall looks, and how much larger the whole room seems.

Cathy, it made me smile to see you swoon over Mike's new song. Happy he can enjoy this creativity.
