Harmony, You had such a busy day and got a lot done, too! :D WTG! Hope your back's better soon.

Icy Hot Roll-On helps my back a lot and a lumbar pillow, yoga/stretching, too. Keeping my posture correct helps, too. I forget and then I'll hurt. :(

Sunny, I hope your DH is better real soon and is home from the hospital by now, too.

A few things I saw this morning:
1- 2 doves grazing,
2- a Flicker landing to eat grass/seeds from the cracks in the patio,
3- I looked out the slider door from my great room chair. There was a small doe about 6 feet from our patio steps, sniffing THE GARDEN HOSE! :lol: Deer are so curious! :!: She was beautiful! I kept my eye on her, so she wouldn't go over to eat any container flowers, she just looked around, walked off the patio, and later, while I was in the bathroom, I saw her again. Outside my garden tub window, she was eating Himalayan blackberries. The deer love those berries, gobble them right up! :D

Anyway, my touch with Nature today was kinda nice. ;)
Touch the earth, love the earth, her plains, her valleys, her seas. Rest your soul in her solitary places. ~Henry Beston

OKay, maybe motion sickness from travel? Are you by yourself with LO? Please let others in the family know this is happening so they can contact you and be prepared, just in case, to come to you rather than you going to them.

Kathryn, good job on writing and service prep. Perhaps this sermon is a good candidate for meaningful pauses, to emphasize points?

Home from local high school ballgame, which we lost, and where we had to use umbrella for a bit, but enjoyable night.
Lots of hugs and greetings from former students and teachers... sat beside two dfriends... I have two cousins playing, and of course, dh is interested in ANYONE who is playing... so it was a nice night, all things considered.
I am also feeling somewhat productive, b/c -- even though the (figurative) household beeps and buzzers are beeping and buzzing -- today was quite busy:
* Regular drug store
* CVS
* Auto parts store for headlight
* Auto shop to have headlight installed
* Sandwich shop for my lunch
* Hole-in-the-wall hamburger joint for dh's lunch
* Bar-b-que restaurant for dmom's lunch/supper
* Post office to mail bill
* Post office 2nd time to get dmom some stamps
* Florist to pay bill
* Visited dmom... sealed & stamped all notes/envelopes except the 13 I have left in her care
* Visited dmil (w/dh)
* Ballgame

Yeah. I'm ready to kickback and read for a while.
Last night I finished The Devil in the White City -- and it was sooo sooo good. Kinda morbid and gruesome at times, but fascinating. True story about the 1893 Chicago World's Fair and the serial killer in Chicago who escaped notice for quite some time during that period of time. (In case you're not following the What Are You Reading thread.) The description of the White City makes me wish sooo badly that time travel were possible! * sigh *

Sending lots of (((BIG HUGS))) and get well/feel better wishes to Mr. Sunny, Harmony, and OKay...

And Ivy... IKWYM about your dfriend. At nursing home last week, I visited w/very dfriend who is in similar situation... so discouraged and depressed... nothing really I could say, but I was sooo glad I made time to go in and see her, took dgs in and you know, everyone lights up when a baby comes around -- well, almost everyone -- and I was able to make her laugh a bit with some stories about him. But so sad.
Tomorrow is another day.
