Got up to eat a bite so I could take my meds.

Thanks to Kathryn an ya'll for well wishes. Slept most of the morning... Very unusual for me to even nap. I must be sick ;-). Back to bed...

Nancy, I think that Brad Pitt movie is called "Legends of the Fall." It's very good. Sorry your DH is ill.

I had so much fun reading the comments about bad luck and TV's, etc.. when I came back here. Thank you, Ladies! It reminds me that I'm NOT alone! :D

Today I have:
- s2s, shampooed
- Breakfast, meds, supps
- Fixed weekly meds
- Did emails, obits, posts, and calendar
- Took laundry to utility room
- Did yoga/stretches and a bit of walking
- Dumped trash from all over the house (tomorrow is garbage pick-up day)
- Mailed 2 letters
- Put lol away from dryer last night/towels
- Started a lol washing
- Crocheted on dgd's afghan
- Sorted the mail which = 2 catalogs for recycle minus address labels.

DH just finished watching a romantic comedy on TCM. Cute show.
I stopped taking my antibiotic for my eyes because of yeast in my mouth, etc.. But a week off the antibiotic, the eye thing came back, so I guess I'm stuck. :geek: At least the antibiotic helps. Will continue the probiotic and yogurt for the other. And treatment.

I'd better get back to dgd's afghan. Only have 9 - 11 rows to go and I'm all done, except for the edging.

Happy Afternoon, Everybody! :D

Good afternoon friends! Yesterday, I was hoping I would get my roof work done. It will probably only take about 30 minutes, but DD11 had homework instead. We got that done, but it took a while. After she left, I mopped the whole house, except the sewing room. (That room cannot be dealt with until the roof is fixed, then the ceiling). I guess my new maid (yep, me) is doing ok. I checked to see which meds needed to be reordered and prepped for Bible study tonight.

This morning, I had blood work done, not fun, but dealt with. Tomorrow, an unexpected animal org meeting has been called, so I will miss art class AGAIN. When I called to let the teacher know, she had an abandoned dog problem to relate. I got info about that and got back to her, so the dog will be taken care of.

Tonight, dinner will be at church, along with Bible study. Then, I will be delivering stuff that DD left at my house to XDH's house. When I get home, I need to balance checkbook, install an antenna for my car radio, write a bio for animal org board elections, and continue my maid work.

Emptynester: That is a good idea about advertising the wood on freecycle, except that it is not really wood. The 'tree' is really a yucca that was the size of a small tree.

Okay: Perhaps you could tell your bad dog owners about poisonous snakes in your field, whether you actually have any or not.

Sending out hugs to Ivy.

What am I wondering about? When can I fix my roof! I am NOT going on my roof with no one around, so maybe when DD11 comes this Sunday.

I'm glad Elizabeth is staying off her roof when no-one is around to spot her.

Finished that round of errands. Dh came and sat out on the porch while I pulled in the laundry and ended up getting ds to help him take down the shade structures' roof. It is early for us to do it but we won't be using them, or if we do, we'll want the sunlight for warmth.

Heard from my friend and he's busy after church so we'll go up on October 27th (the next date I'm free.) I don't want to go to my churches today but I don't necessarily want to skip church. Not sure what to do with a Sunday off. Dh might go to church because he's needed in the choir.

Waaay behind to be cuop... but I did look at the shoes, Harriet. Now THAT is just what my dmom needs... ;) Very supportive, padded, just the thing.

Love the mention of poisonous snakes, real or imaginary, for OKay's situation Elizabeth...

Sending good wishes to all who are under the weather these days... Mr. Nancy... Cowinkie... Ivy... Kathryn...
-- and Mr. Dee & Mr. MT!

How are things going with the Harmony household? I don't think you've mentioned Mr. Harmony's health concerns in a while, Harmony.

Walked w/ds and dgs this morning (well, yeah, afternoon)... then s2s, went to CVS... waiting on dh. We need to return dmil's van. DGS will be back later to spend tonight & tomorrow night with us. I know we'll be dragging by Friday!

I was dragging pretty much today, after TWO fairly productive days, which IS a stretch for me. I wish I could learn how to act like my own maid, Elizabeth. Today I would have really liked to have just lain in bed and eaten bon bons all day. * sigh *
Tomorrow is another day.

More cuop...

More (((HUGS))) for Kathryn, b/c I can only imagine how hard it is to let ds go. Y’all remember ME having a crying fit when ds here moved out for college, just three hours away, and I knew I’d see him the very next weekend. I’m pathetic. So I definitely sympathize with any sort of separation-anxiety.
I really need to be faster out of the gate in the morning
Ooohhh… Twins… that should DEFINITELY be a goal around here. * sigh * DH’s biological clock sorta ties my hands though.

Blessed, looks like you’re doing really well for someone who is so cranky…
* Ducking & running! *

I like Harriet’s thought, also, Okay… “How badly was the dog hurt by the donkey?” That’s a good thing to say – shows concern, etc… I mean, I’ve heard donkeys will fight coyotes. They certainly would be a force for a pet dog to contend with! And you certainly can't pen up the donkey! What use would he be then?
* sheesh *
the teacher just remembered
Teachers… what gets into them? ;) ..... (btdt, you know) But I DID try my best not to give confusing directions and requirements that would involve parent time & money... kept the confusion limited to my own little classroom.

Love Cowinkie’s PA!

Just more (((BIG HUGS))) for Ivy
When it rains, it pours.
While we were out walking, ds said, “I think everything is going pretty smooth right now.”
I screamed, “DON’T SAY THAT!!! DON’T SAY THAT!!! YOU’LL JINX IT. WE’LL BOTH BE STRUCK BY LIGHTNING BEFORE WE GET TO THE HOUSE!”
He laughed, and said, “The Lord knows I’m just joking…(looking up to the sky) I AM just joking, Lord.”
Today I am wondering why I feel stuck even though I know that I am not.
* Sigh * I often have that feeling, Nancy.

Well, dh has left... must follow to dmil's... supper... then dgs will arrive. Let the games begin.
Tomorrow is another day.

DH is fine, Lucylee. Limping around about the same. He's got every weed pulled out of our grass. See, we've done some bids and he's seen some people, but we've had no work for over 3 weeks. And nothing scheduled. It's really bad down here right now. This feels like it did when the bottom fell out in 2008.

My laundry is piling up. I can still hang it up because the back porch is under a roof, but the humidity is so high with all this rain it wouldn't dry in 2 days.

Really burned out with that big bunch of spreadsheet work I did, so had a long nap. First I've had to nap in a few days.

Lovely lunch today with two of my favorite cousins and dmom, but I think that mother's memory issues and confusion have increased dramatically in a short time period. I called her yesterday to let her know about the lunch. Called this morning again when I left home to be sure she remembered and there was no answer. Called again 10 minutes later. Called again when I was about 10 minutes from her house and she picked up. Said she didn't recognize the phone # on her caller ID and then she did not remember that we were having lunch out today. Got to her house and asked if she was ready to go and she had forgotten that we were going to lunch.....this maybe 10 minutes later.

Anyway, I set up a dr appointment for her in the a.m. at 9 - I guess it's nice that she didn't remember that her next appt with the general practitioner was in November so she didn't argue with me about it.

DH and I have been to WW and will start journaling tomorrow a.m.

I didn't do of the TO-dos on my list for today. Didn't even finish a.m. routine.

Oooh, nap - there's an idea.

Couldn't eat my dinner, just got half of it down and knew it didn't agree with me. It was ribs and I haven't been able to eat them for months (started before I was in the hospital.) I just froze 3 racks and have 1 rack down there so dh will be eating a lot of ribs (ds eats them with dh normally.) Maybe dsil likes ribs....

Dh is having a bad day concentration wise. I said grace and poured my glass of milk into a mug (because I had started a mug with milk in the morning before remembering I was having green tea which I don't take milk in.) Then I started eating. Dh was staring at me the whole time and I explained the milk thing. He kept waiting and finally said, "I guess we are skipping grace." Ds confirmed we had already said it. As well, earlier to day I said something to him and it sounded to him like syllables but not words until I repeated myself.
