Monday at the Manor

Well the mistress of this manor gave the servants the day off as all chores had been previously done. Then she went to frolic in the wild woods and gardens with another mistress from a far away manor. We leisurely strolled through tree covered paths, while chatting and taking in the sights. We gazed upon meadows, fields and streams teaming with abundant wild life. Gazelles bounded by, lions, tigers and cheetahs filled the air with their roars, while birds of many colored feathers filtered and fluttered over head.

A merry time was had while we sipped thirst quenching drinks as we sat in the shade provided by a canopy of trees. The breeze was most delightful. After an excellent day spent amongst the nature's beautiful and enchanting forest, we parted ways and returned home where our handsome princes were anxiously awaiting our return.....

I was going to suggest that I am the scullery maid around here, but I think Kathryn beat me to it! Besides that duty I am the head housekeeper and I must keep the accounts.

That's what I have been doing all evening after dinner dishes were cleaned up - copying and emailing spreadsheets to someone. I didn't even know if I could send those big files like that but they went just fine. I copied and took out the pages I didn't want sent, and I gotta say all this is a stretch for me, but they are all sent. The receiving party is probably going to see these and look like this but I'm sorry this is how I do my bookkeeping.

There is still a pile of papers to do tomorrow also.

DH arrived home tired, slightly injured (nothing major that I could see) and with a very sore foot. I worked on his foot. He's got a corn or a callus or something that gives him pain and it's not visible but I can feel it under the skin. It's always something.

MT, sorry you had to move. I wish Washington would get their act together.

Just used the search function to figure out when my last TOM was. (Sure enough, I had complained about weight and cramps in Healthy Habits.) I remembered I had it during the second hospital stay but thought there was another time and there was. So those dates (plus today's date) are entered in my calendar. I'm friggin 53 - too old to still be doing this.

Off to bed but will do knee physio next. Might try yoga tomorrow morning. Might not.

Grandkids have left did a short walk with them before the left so nanny duty is done for today. I did some gardening today while I was out side doing chicken chores. Peach crisp was excellent for dinner and lunches.
