I knit a few rows on the purple prayer shawl I am knitting up currently.

So happy that we did some yd. Work filled in the dust bath spots the hens hadmade in the flower beds in the back yd.

I had a bit more painting to do for touch up before we start the last wall in the run.

This makes me happy and thinking about my new rose bush and we will need to water it in today.

Have had a lazy morning so far. Was up some during the night and then I came out in the recliner around 6 and fell asleep again until about 8:15. Eating breakfast right now. Have to go to church this morning to do some copying. Finally found our membership book Sunday & I want to be sure there's some copies around. Need to update this year's information in that and for myself for the year's end report.

When I come back will throw a few things together for our trip to PA tomorrow. Not taking a lot since we're heading back on Saturday.

Have a dpc to make this morning to dsisil. She called yesterday & left a message to call. Didn't want to do it yesterday because I was just digesting the info from dd regarding gd15. If I can avoid the subject with dsisil I absolutely will. She'll find out soon enough that gd is heading to yet another facility. So will try to get that out of the way before I leave for church.

At church office.

I feel like I'm getting sick. Been to bed at midnight or later for the past 3 nights so this isn't a surprise. But I have 3 preaching gigs on Sunday so can't lose my voice until after that. Then I have a Tuesday night survey so have to be healthy for that. Kind of limits when I can be sick.

Today I go line up for a passport after the church office. Will take my computer and work on writing the sermon while waiting. Waiting time seems to be in the 30 - 90 minute range judging from comments online.

Kathryn, I hope you feel better soon!

Dee, I'm probably too late, but my heart goes out to you on this dpc. if you must address the subject, start your sentence with the name of the ranch and let her know immediately that a completely different entity from the family has made a decision for their own reasons. Further questions can just be answered that you were not there and did not see what they saw, did not have to make the decisions they had to make, they are professionals and you must trust that they did their best. It might be best not to use your dd's name in the conversation, to reinforce that she can't possibly be making mistakes when she's out of the picture. ((Dee))

Also probably too late to suggest a gooseneck lamp to BookSaver, in case of dark corner table! You can set these up out of the way, but shining on a wall behind or on ceiling, and benefit from what photographers call bounced light, or the "second bounce" of light.

OKay, even with all my interest in "creative" quotes, I've never seen that one! Thanks, that's a great quote. Yes, finding creative answers is a thrill.

OKay, That's a great quote to open up today with! Thank you!

(((Dee))), Good luck with dealing with that. It's out of your hands and all my best thoughts and energy to you as you cope with it.

(((Kathryn))), I hope you get to feeling much better and soon, too. Sunday's coming right up on us.

Nancy, It's great that you got to knit.

Harriet, waving hello to you, too.

DH goes to a retirees luncheon today for 2 - 3 hours. I'll watch a movie, perhaps, and crochet or will work on Feb. and Mar. outlines. Have titles done already and ideas in my head.

Aw, Dee. So sorry about DPC but you rec'd good advice from Harriet.

I got through the temple board meeting fine last night. Was able to deflect getting into a long drawn out discussion with this lady. Had advised the Rabbi to sit on his hands if necessary and not to engage, and I reiterated to her that it was his decision and not a topic for board discussion. I am trying to walk a line between being supportive of him and yet trying to convince him to change this practice. I was back at temple at 8:30 to meet with him on a couple of other issues, then was home again and back out to WW (update in health and wellness.)

I've been waiting around for phone call or email from dmom's doc office about whether she can get a flu shot today when blood is drawn. Appointment is not needed for blood draw but I'd like her to get a flu shot also. I can't decide whether to just take her on for blood draw or wait to hear from them.
