Done with that round...taking a few minutes to do some of those 2 minute tasks that s/b done instead of going onto a list somewhere. Need to head out for dr appt soon, and then on to see dmom. Will drop off Goodwill stuff on the way home from seeing her. Going to try to make the 5:30 meeting...

Good morning! I did make it to Bible study last night, but that was the extent of my useful activity. In the church parking lot, I missed a step off a bridge and hurt my foot rather badly. Interestingly enough, the large glass of tea I was holding did not lose a drop. After that, it hurt to walk, it hurt to stand, it hurt to move my foot, and it hurt to keep it still. So I sat and read a book with a cat in my lap. I was hoping that in the morning, my foot would be better, but it is not. I already had a doctors appointment this afternoon for other stuff, so that is good. Here's what really hurts: pushing the emergency break. I did that by hand. I'm hurting just sitting here at my desk. This is significantly worse than when I had a stress fracture on a metatarsal. Tonight is art class. I will eat at Cracker Barrel on the way, so at least I don't have to stand up to cook.

I hope everyone is having a better day than I am.

TwinsMom: There is hope for your daughter in sewing. My mother didn't teach me either, because her sewing machine didn't work anymore. I learned embroidery from kits as a child, and sewing and crochet from books as an adult. Of course, now people learn it from YouTube. A tactful way to answer your member would be "I'm sorry, we're just not set up for that."

I had such a "rough" night. Nightmares. The almost identical one over and over again. I got sick at 11:30 p.m. and was sick and awake until about 12:15 a.m. Maybe going to bed feeling bad makes for a "rough" night. Anyway, today's a new day. I cried in the shower. I decided to tie a big knot in the rope with God's help and just hang on. I can't figure it out. I seem to be doing everything right, but sometimes the day goes awry.

One good thing, I have a lovely long letter going out to a pen pal today AND a mailer of FM (fibromyalgia) info to another pen pal, with a computer letter and some great sites for her and my email address, too. I hope the FM stuff helps her and especially that Super-Duper site, too! It's wonderful! Years ago, I printed the entire chapters to an on-line book, written by the founder at the site, have them in a file, pull them out and re-educate myself. I know it perhaps is considered clutter, but it's something that I need on hand.

We're having dense fog here and then will have sunshine- I hope! DH will go to the store today, I'll start reading "When Bad Things Happen to Good People," by a Rabbi and will baby-step my day. I hope the mail brings good and happy things, too.

Thank you for the poem, Ivy! What was different last night - temperature change while trying to sleep, needing to go to the restroom but not realizing it, eating later than usual, perhaps onion/tomato/coffee/chocolate or whatever trigger food bothers you? Did dh also have a dream-filled night or just you? Hope you figure it out. No, that's actually the opposite of clutter - keep those files, they are worth their space.

Twins' Mom, I never handled a similar issue myself, but witnessed others handling it during the introduction of the person, by announcing that their book/CD/items would be available for sale in a public area away from the worship space after the event, and please come by to chat with the guest and consider purchasing. I've seen this done on a table in a fellowship hall, or in a vestibule/foyer in case most people exit that way. My older dd purchased a hat one time in a church vestibule to support a visiting speaker, but that was a transaction between individuals. I don't think a house of worship would be expected to purchase books in advance, unless it was a leadership decision to use them in a teaching application later, or something.

I have been driving a lot today and will continue. Dd especially requested an early morning errand for a few snacks for her long day. Had to make a run to pharmacy 1 also. At 5:00 I will pick dd up after her after-school field trip to a local plant to view water purification methods for engineering class. The senior English students had a different field trip to a fair today, so she was rolling her eyes about hers, lol. (She did learn that she'll want to get English in the first semester during her own senior year, so that she will get to go to that fair!!)

During the engineering class/club prep for this field trip, they separated into 5 groups to compete for the best water filtration from common objects. Her group won, and she was the illustrator of the diagram. Of course, they won on the purity of the water, but undoubtedly it was easier for her group to implement their chosen method because they had a really great diagram!!! (says Mom) btw, in case this comes up in conversation, charcoal and sand are all well and good, but don't skimp on the coffee filters!

Tobias is constipated. This is making him cranky. Any brilliant ideas? I put a little olive oil onto salmon from a tinfoil-type packet, as an internet site suggested. He also wants green stuff, munching on some foliage I brought in for flower pressing today, which I think is an iffy thing to do! (shamrocks - those aren't good for him are they?) Can he have a little of my salad spinach? Recently HRH had found a great deal on a milkier-looking canned food (Fancy Feast "elegant" in the blue cans, which have fancier names). Could milky food be the problem? Hmmm... .. just checked and I can't find any milk products in all the many, many words in the ingredients list. But wheat gluten is 3rd.

Harriet, They state that dark chocolate helps FM. (Fibromyalgia). I ate 4 pieces of a dark chocolate bar yesterday, during the day. I walked, stretched, did yoga moves, etc.... I ate snacks later, I know better and IBS hit me late. I'm weaning off my FM drug and take 1/4-pill now. It seems that every other night is a "rough" night, for some reason. I feel a bit overwhelmed about things to read, things to write, the house, exercise, laundry, afghan crochet for a grandson, snail mail, and stuff. I tend to do this to myself occasionally and don't know why! I'll just take it one step at a time today, baby step the day, and I think perhaps reading 1 chapter at a time on the book I have, then go do something, will be a good way to face the day, too.

I need to go cross off some unhealthy items off the grocery list now.

Well, I've been working on the stack of projects on my desk that have been there for a long long time. One is done for the time being. One is reviewed and I have some papers to fill out and that will be done for a little while.

Last one, I sent DH off to take some pictures and we emailed them to ins. agent along with the form and I have an appointment for tomorrow to go over everything. Homeowners ins. in Florida is not easy any more. To get the "built to code and it's safe as can be" discount, one has to have pictures and forms...by licensed professionals...which DH does because he are one!!

That's about it so far. Way to eat up a whole bunch of time!

Home from a successful trip to town.
**LO to dentist. Perfect checkup. They did x-ray that goes around his head. I don't know what that kind of xray is called (panaramic??) but it was waaaaay neat to see his baby teeth with adult teeth forming underneath them. All four of his 6 year old molar are in place and are just underneath the gum line. They should be popping through in near future.
** LO to pediatrician for flu mist.
** Successful trip to local western store. LO now has new boots, winter coat and a lariat rope of his own.

DSon and DH think I should make the 4 hour drive this afternoon/evening (rather than doing it early (4am) tomorrow morning). I'm still undecided. I been on the go for days and need a break. I'll give myself an hour to sit and relax. Then hopefully I'll feel like packing for overnight stay, doing the drive with enough energy left to play with DGD2 and DGS7 for a couple hours before bedtime.

Alrighty! DH and I teamed up for final effort setting church online access up at the new bank. Accounts are separated and all is right now.

I've thrown a few things into overnight bags for LO and myself. I'm going to tackle the 4 hour drive this evening so I will be in place to watch DGS7 run in the morning.

Today went well with baby N. Here this morning and for the next month as her mom has an early shift. The mom may be moving. ut has not gotten the job yet so too soon to know for sure. Ddg was happy to see the baby I thought someone I had not met was going to pick her up so I got the house all spiffed up.

I got out the stuff that was here books clothes toys etc. So she was happy to see those again! Shoes no longer fit jackets she did not need this summer and the coat I got at the yd. Sale fit her perfectly and came in so handy in this fall crispness.

I saw my knitting show show this a.m. and the other one is on now.
My team is playing tonight and 2 other shows making Thursday is my fav. Day of the week for programing.
Dgd made little, smokies in a biscuit for lunch yum!
I changed the table cloth.
