I was careful NOT to do the "one click" thing... but I will definitely double check next time I look at amazon.
Good gracious, ds just called and said their rooms in college town were CANCELLED. The hotel thought we had cancelled, or the "third party" we booked with, but actually, I think we booked through THEIR website.
They were very nice about it and made calls to find other rooms, about a 2 miles away, and about half price what we were paying -- soooo IF the first WAS cancelled and we are not charged for them, then this is fine; all's well that ends well. But good grief. If we are charged for rooms that were taken away from us, then I am going to be ticked off big time. DGS is still playing in his playpen in the den, has had his bedtime bottle, looked at books, etc... and I may just let him sleep in the playpen. I'll probably sleep on the couch. I don't sleep well when dh is not home. I can sympathize somewhat with my dmom on that point.
I was just looking back at last year, this time of year, PWYC. Dmil's first Thanksgiving without dfil was approaching, and we were having dgs's christening. Probably the last picture I have of myself w/ddad was taken that Sunday, and it is VERY blurry.
But it was a good weekend. So much can change in a year's time.I hope dgs goes to sleep soon, b/c I am getting a little bit tired of Sprout TV.

1. I made the mistake of checking the price of the place dbil suggested he might get the turkey. * sheesh *
Probably going to spend over $50 and it says: Hickory Smoked.
Dmil will NOT eat anything that even HINTS at being "smoked."
Of course, it was his idea and dmil will probably end up paying for it anyway, BUT. "hickory smoked." Not good idea.
So... I started looking... apparently C racker B arrel doesn't do whole turkey or large turkey breasts for take-out -- they only advertise hams and full Tgiving meals to go -- (which is starting to look pretty dang good, actually...)
DH wants to just make it easy, get the local smoked turkey, be done with it, dmil can eat or not eat. * sigh *
I am ready to buy a roaster and do my own. No way I can do it all here w/just one oven, I think.
Daunt has a roaster and oooohhhhh... her turkey is sooooo good.
I'm going to call P ublix tomorrow, but I know they are sky high too...
2. Dgs is in his bed asleep.
3. Today's bottles and sippy cups have been washed.
4. Talked to foreign-accent guy re: hotel reservations. Got an email saying credit card had been reimbursed the charges. I certainly hope that is right. Will probably call credit card # tomorrow just to be sure.
5. MUST go to CVS tomorrow, AND spend some time w/dmil, AND it would be nice to see my dmom, too, but I don't know if that will happen or not. Plus watch ballgame. I better try to sleep.
