Re: Finally and Final Conga Friday of the year
Back from doing Sunday's bulletin. Went pretty well today.
Had to go back to yesterday to find out who was expecting in Harriet's household. Congratulations to dd33 and family and for yet another grandson!
We got a picture collage of dgs17months yesterday. So doggone cute! He has quite the vocabulary. Talked to me on the phone the other day to tell me he got "Elmo" and "hockey" stuff. (a stick, pucks, helmet, goal net) Then ddil told me that when his 14 year old brother comes home he won't call him Cam or brother -oh no, it's "Hockey". Guess because dgs14 is usually coming home or going to hockey (practice or a game). He plays for a local team and for the JV at his school.
We got that package yesterday & they got ours. She sent us two $50 gift cards to Disney. Great minds think alike. We sent the same to them.
Figure they'll use it sooner or later.

Re: Finally and Final Conga Friday of the year
I started PUPA in the living room and couldn't stand the Christmas decorations everywhere. It gave me a feeling of being surrounded by clutter. So down came the tree and all the Christmas decoration throughout the house. It is now packed into 6 plastic tubs. The house feels lighter and ready for a good cleaning.

Re: Finally and Final Conga Friday of the year
Good morning/afternoon... dh told me I could sleep all day if I wanted to, and I just might do that.
I have a terrible headache -- probably a result of too much crazy eating yesterday.
WOW!!! Another baby boy on the way for Harriet & family!!!
Was this a total surprise to you, Harriet, or did you know dd wanted another baby?
And
at OKay's strange month...
And (((HUGS))) for OKay's tough night.
(((Twins))) too.
* sigh *
Jealous of Dee's conversation w/dgs! Dgs here, 18 months yesterday, is still super "stoic" as dnephew put it. But he is happy and healthy... I guess conversation will come eventually. He got Elmo stuff for Christmas, too, and ddil sent me a picture of him sitting in his "big boy" Elmo chair, eating snacks, watching a movie. He looked so much OLDER! Wonder if he sat for more than 5 minutes, though.
Ooohhh -- glad the manhunt is over, OKay!!!
Soooo glad I got all that ironing done yesterday. I don't think I'm going to try to conga today. I will just try to get back on track next week -- although last night I did get my cards re-organized for January. I'll be at a disadvantage to start with, being gone the 3rd-9th, I think, but I do have high hopes for the coming year. * sigh * I always have high hopes, and I always let myself down, BUT -- this is the FIRST time ever I am starting the year w/out a 40+ hour work week on my agenda. So maybe I can do better finally!

Re: Finally and Final Conga Friday of the year
Hello, and Happy last Friday!
(Twins) sorry trip was so stressful.
(OKay) glad they caught that guy and he didn't show up at your door. LO - get better quick!
Harriet, congratulations on all that good news, whew, a promotion and new baby coming all announced in the same day. Wow. Wow. Tell your DD I had a friend years ago up north who had 2 sons, tried for a girl, all natural way no drugs, and ended up with triplet sons born 9 months later, so they had a family of 5 boys! She hired a live-in older teenager to help and got IRS to let them deduct an expense for her! Not sure if that would happen these days.
Helia, have a nice trip.
Still feeling contented from my wonderful holiday time with family. I did get a couple things wrapped up for end of the year, last checks written, cashed a check at bank and deposited something in another.
Went to a store and "bought" a handsome polo shirt for DH with free money receipt DD had included in my gift. She is away on a ski trip and the receipt was only good today and tomorrow. So I got something for DH. He tried it on and likes it!
Just ate a bowl of steamed green beans for lunch. I gotta have my veggies!
On a housecleaning note: DH picked up one of those simple little sweepers, rechargeable. I used to have a S hark one, but after some years it refused to charge up. They are quite useful for running around the house picking up crumbs, sand, and no cords and no broom & dustpan! I've been dragging out the big vacuum, which is the best for the area rugs, but this one will do in between. I was very surprised, as I hadn't asked for one.

Re: Finally and Final Conga Friday of the year
I've done a conga around town today. Got dMacs to PT at 10 a.m. and we were back a little after 11. I took off and went to Tar-jay for invitations and printer cartridges, then by the durable medical place where I got the CPAP (question re: billing before end of the year) and then to dmom's to refill meds for the week. I was just too wiped out last night to do it.
I'm going to take a nap now. Dkids underfoot but I'm warning them re: noise. Dd said dMacs is worn out also.

Re: Finally and Final Conga Friday of the year
Harriet, Dson/Ddil had 6 boys, then 1 last baby girl for their family- all natural. The dgd was a total shock
for us all, unexpected surprise, ♥ and even more surprising that she was a girl, after all these boys. When Ddil had the ultrasound of the last dgs done, she showed our Dson and oldest grson. The oldest grson turned to his father and said, "Another boy?! Dad, can't you get it right yet?"
Dgrson wanted a baby sister so bad, but now he has her.
I'm so happy for you, Harriet. And congrats again to you
for dgson news and your Dson's promotion, too.
(((Twins))) I'm sorry the trip was stressful, too. Sometimes traveling is hard.
I loved your lead-in today, too.
(((OKay))), Get Well Soon!
Sorry you're under the weather. With rest, hoping you can ring in the New Year healthy by then.
(((Lucylee))), Sorry about your terrible headache.
It's so easy to indulge at this time of year. So I hear you!
Dee, I'm glad the Sunday bulletin went well today. Those photos in the collage sound wonderful. Enjoy! Oh, the phone call sounds so heart-warming, too. ♥
Helia, Enjoy your travels!
I did something really "stupid".
Last night, it was late, I got a bug in my bonnet, started talking about the "Dump & Bake" TV offer, couldn't shut up to DH as to how GR8 I thought it was, how we could do desserts AND casseroles, too, and he finally said, "Go order it!" I did, but he teased me about it twice, which upset me (SORT OF) and then, this a.m. I felt awful about ordering it after all. DH said not to worry about it,
but since my b-day's in Jan., this little spending action by me last night, will be part of my b-day. That's fine with me though. I just thought dumping in 1 pan to bake desserts and main dishes was super, and now I'm glad it's coming.
But for awhile, I felt like a fool.
I found a dump and bake cake dessert on-line at:
http://www.allrecipes.com to try, too.
Also, I'll try to aim more for the main dishes and less on the desserts unless I've got a craving in the New Year, we're having company or a celebration, or it's a holiday. I'll need to put some restraint on the dump and bake cakes, so I don't end up gaining a ton of weight.
I'm not s2s yet, but I'll get that way soon. DH will be leaving sometime today, to go to his buddy's place, to get the spring in his driver's side drawer fixed. It popped out, there's a special tool to repair it at his buddy's Dbro's shop, so that's nice not to need to go to the dealership for repairs. As it is right now, DH uses a screw driver to close his truck door. It works fine.
I'd better go have my QT. All I've done today is:
- MT the DW
- fix coffee for us
- eat breakfast, take meds, supplements, etc...
- cleaned my QVAR canister holder, did my QVAR, peak flow meter
- brushed my teeth
I'm about to:
- s2s, dress, etc...
- do QT, journal, etc...
- work on a crochet project
- work on a writing project
- read on 2 books on and off today
- do laundry
I'd better get busy now. Everyone, have a wonderful Finally and Final Conga Friday of the year!

Last payroll taxes of the year submitted. 2 Personal spreadsheets finished and in the My-Life-In-A-Folder for CPA at tax time! Some new ones set up for 2014.
I wonder about MT also, hope all is ok.
