how long I dragged out making the call
I totally get this.
I feel like I am the one who procrastinates the most. Part of me has myself convinced that I'm just taking care of the important things and run out of time before I get to those other things.
Case in point....I believe I am the last one here to file 2025 taxes. I can produce all kinds of facts & reasons why this happens, but I know there are pockets of time that I could have used in a more productive manner.
Maybe I need to join Procrastinator Anonymous.
Hello. My name is LM. I am a procrastinator.

Chicken and hamburger have been cooked. They both turned out amazing (IMHO)

I'm trying something new-to-me. Afternoon drink = coffee+Fiber+Protein. I've seen some claims those 3 ingredients have a similar effect as glp1

Dh had his regular doctor appointment.

We are having pasta and meat sauce tonight. As per usual, dh is now laying down and will be asleep soon.

I am home again. Sold two cemetery plots and it was hotter than you know what. I had to go back to temple to do paperwork and am just now home and cooling down. I didn't have time to do a couple of the things I wanted to do at the cemetery. I was going to trim some water sprouts and try out a set of keys to see if I could figure out what they go to. I know one is the mausoleum, there should be one to the gate that is kept locked, but not sure what else.

I did talk (with temple prez) to construction manager on site about our need for irrigation of new shrubs and about relocating a pole that has a light on it that's in the way. Temple prez and I made decision to relocate it, and the construction mgr did a little troubleshooting on our existing irrigation. So I didn't have time for the other stuff and was too hot and sweaty to go back later. I did manage to reschedule my haircut which was to be tomorrow, and to schedule an appointment with the maintenance company to go over some needs.

Before I left for appointment at cemetery I managed to do the two HOA checks that need to go, and I did check all accounts. I did not get to:
-email about HOA insurance, later I'll drop off the policy and info to prez
-go through my "box on the counter" pull out things to file for us

I don't know if I'm done for the day. It's sunny and nearly 90 and I still need to walk the dog. I am tired.

I moved three branches that came down this week.
One more smaller one could come out but needs a 5'- 7' ladder to reach with a rake or some thating.
I'll be logging later in the week when the winds calm down.

Last load is in the dryer.
I still need to mow also after I rake up the twigs it's dryed out but does not quite need it yet.

I've put cheddar sausage dogs in the freezer to flash freeze.
1st load of laundry is put away now as well.

I have a plan for my dinner.
The sun is out now too yea.
------
I have rebooted the trash can again took ddoggo out with me for a p break.
That worked well.
More clothes got folded and put away.

CAthy - I was wondering how your DH doctor appointment went. Thanks for sharing.

I'm almost ready to relax the rest of the day. But first....
** Get 2-3 kinds of meat out of the freezer to cook tomorrow.
** Decide on what side dishes to make and gather ingredients.

Good progress on the prescription paperwork happened. I've emptied the shredder twice. Hopefully it can be finished tomorrow.

Almost as soon as dh and I got home the pharmacy was calling to ask if I knew that the doctor had prescribed some new meds to dh. I told her we had an appointment just before she called. Pharmacist wants me to come by tomorrow to talk about what to expect with one of the meds. Doctor asked dh about his left hand tremor and if he thought it had gotten worse. Dh didn't think it was any worse. He asked dh to stand up and after watching dh struggle 4 or 5 times to raise himself up off of the hard chair that had arm rests, the doctor said part of his difficulty in getting up is the progression of what he was diagnosed with last year. So... we begin a new adventure. I have heard that meds for this can cause some side effects.

Oh, Nancy, that's sweet to say. I have at times been such a bad example to myself or others - I have to keep plugging away at it. But yes, it does make you feel more creative if you can see the space available for being creative. The confidence that you could spread out and not feel cramped.
I have now written a script for the call, so I’m one step closer.

I am such a believer in this. Whether there are complicated things to keep clear, or hard things to say, or just things that you don't want to wander off into the weeds, it really helps to at least have kind of landmarks for the conversation. Even if just a few particular words jotted down, to stay on target.

Did something similar when I called to RSVP recently, to make sure I was very clear that I was disappointed, but had to decline, without getting ahead of myself into unnecessary directions.

Cathy, I wish your dh didn't have to keep dealing with new meds, but I'm glad dr. could witness clearly for himself some difficulty today, and have good info about that.

LadyM, I might give you a run for your money on procrastination. Taxes happen to be HRH's thing, so not a comparison I could make. You are prompt on many wise habits that make me roll my eyes about myself.

The appts were fine today. I was wishing I could get off some meds, but that was not to be today. I'd thought an ultrasound might be in dr's mind, but she said no, we could wait another year on that - suits me fine. Even though HRH's appt sounded like a bigger deal to me, he was basically in and out.

DgsW "progressed" today, completing school year, and dgdC will be tomorrow. He got to go to a fav restaurant to celebrate, he says, but she is planning on go carts tomorrow, lol.

Nooo, nooo, I am the chief procrastinator around here. I may have gotten taxes filed sooner than you, LadyM, but oh my goodness... if there was a prize for being a couch potato, I know I would get it.
I'm just jumping in tonight without catching up on the last three days, so please forgive me if I am missing something important and sound ignorant of village doings. I would probably be better at staying in touch, but my phone will not accept my password, and I don't want to change it again because the computer and the Chromebook work fine.

Dgd has just been here so much of the time since that I don't know if I'm coming or going. DS got home around 11:00 a.m. and I took the dgrands home (after picking up DGS at football, getting a snack, picking up Wmart order, and stopping at home to let dgrands help me unload the car!)
Then I took a 45 minute nap before driving dmom to the dentist.
Before going back home, I stopped at grocery store, post office, and hamburger place to get late lunch/early supper.
Once I got home I read the paper for awhile and felt myself drifting off, so I turned out the lights and took a LONG nap.
Now I'm in bed, at 1:00 a.m. but I did not take a shower, and I am * hoping * to obey my alarm in the morning and get s2s in time to go to yoga.
Whew...

And yes, the bed is still propped up with a concrete block and I am sleeping on dh's side of the bed. I let DGD sleep on the broken side, but she weighs a lot less than me.
The toilet handle is still broken, but I bought a replacement at Wmart.
AND the car door apparently has a shortage and will not stay locked.  It locks when I put it in drive, as it is supposed to, and then almost immediately, it unlocks itself. Then, as I am driving, it makes a noise that sounds like it is locking, but it remains unlocked. I thought it was only doing this when I was driving, but today at the post office, I locked it and when I came back out it was unlocked. That means I will have to get this repaired. I could deal with the noise when I was driving, but I do not want a car I cannot lock when I am going into a store or something.

I have done absolutely nothing so far as housekeeping or anything else for this week so far. I have laundry that needs doing and all the other stuff.

I hope y'all have a good Wednesday! I hope I get to check in again tomorrow. *today*

OH -- Harriet, I just read your post on Saturday night after all the escapades of the day. Re: the Corvette -- dmom said today that she didn't mind keeping the insurance and tags in her name, she just felt it would be better off at my house because there would at least be the possibility of it being driven occasionally, while at her house, it has just sat for most of these past 13 years. Dmom will also help with repairs if needed. DDIL will help with driving it, no doubt. (Dmom will said that would be fine; she doesn't care if DS/ddil drive it as well.) She has been so excited about it since she first saw it when she and DS married. LOL -- she was also in love with ddad's '63 Pontiac. It is a straight shift and I cannot drive it (and dmom says she cannot drive it either, because ddad and duncle put a more powerful motor in it.) My brother has no interest in it, either, and she hopes to sell it through the Pontiac collector clubs. This is another reason I don't want the Corvette in my name also; I think dbro and I should split the money of sales from both cars if dmom dies before they are sold. I don't know which is worth more -- the Corvette is a 2000 model and ddad made some modifications to it as well.
I don't know how much I will enjoy it to be honest... I told dmom today, no one has been "asking for to marry me" so far, but if I start driving a Corvette around town, who knows? I might attract some attention, LOL!!!

Torpid... I had to look it up too, and yes... this is me. I am sooo torpid.
Tomorrow is another day.
