LadyM, I've seen so many dead deer on the side of the road, it's nice that it's at least in the woods. Going through Indiana they were everywhere. :(

Haircut was quick and easy, then I went through a Dunkin for iced coffee and a donut. Got to the post office and CVS (mouth gel for night, and motion sickness stuff).

I took time to do look at GIS map of neighborhood and measure distance to back edge of several lots. Apparently at least one couple was told by developer in the beginning that HOA would maintain the area behind their walls - however, their lot goes back much, much further than the wall and it's not reasonable to expect HOA to maintain that area of their lots. So I produced the maps to show it. Not on my bingo card for today, but whatever.

I've rebooted laundry since getting home.

And another ta da: checking bank balances (cemetery, HOA, me) and credit card balances.
And texted temple prez about a meeting next week. Once we're back from this trip I must meet with him...he won't like it, I suspect.
He texted back with suggested date, I agreed. So that's done I hope.

I keep editing and adding ta das.

And sent updated HOA financial info to webmaster to get on the website. Also gave her a listing of superseded items and asked her to remove.

Except for making up the bed upstairs that takes care of my stuff that isn't routines or packing or prepping for trip.

I need to reboot laundry and work on packing list.

Good morning! Waiting in the parking lot for DC to get their bloodwork done. I’m hoping it goes quickly enough that I can grab lunch before taking the car in to have the tires checked. Although I’m not terribly hungry yet. Then again, maybe I’ll head out early to see if DD’s prescriptions are ready. The car appointment is at 12:30 and should take 1 to 1-1/2 hours. Pharmacies here have a mandated lunch break from 1:30-2:00. So I should try the pharmacy before the car work. OTOH, one of the prescriptions is not promised until “after 1,” so there’s a chance I might have to go back again.

The good news is I’m mostly packed; the bad news is I meant to put a load of wash in this morning and forgot.

We got DD to the dentist yesterday. They smoothed off the tooth so it was no longer cutting her. We had to pay out of pocket, but it was not expensive.

DC is done with the lab. I think I’m going to save lunch for later and head for the pharmacy. I may try to get back here later, but since I’m so good at that  , I’ll wish you all a good day now!

**************

Well, I guess I’m back — this didn’t submit properly the first time. The pharmacy didn’t have the toothpaste in yet — they said tomorrow, which doesn’t do us any good. The kids and I will have to pass the one we have back and forth (but the dentist did say yesterday that the prescription toothpaste was helping!). But the tire problem has been resolved — the valve stems were bad. Got an oil change and gassed up while I was out. There’s some ta-das for you! :D

Next up is to tidy the bathroom, which I couldn’t do this morning because DD was in the shower, throw a few things down the laundry chute (same reason), and start a load of wash including the things I throw down. Actually, before I start the wash, I should poll the family to see if there’s anything they need washed before packing. And before I go downstairs, I should check on my flowers. Oh! And my CPAP cleaner should be done with its cycle, so I can plug it in to charge. Ah! And while I’m in the bathroom, I should refill our travel medicine kit. Then I should decide what food we’re taking (I know I need to make trail mix) pack up the shelf-stable stuff. (Thanks for letting me brain dump at you!)

Dh and I both slept this afternoon. Supper is almost ready. I love the fact that spaghetti and sauce is so easy, even with onions and red peppers added to the sauce. Doubly thankful that I had some frozen red pepper strips that could be cut into smaller pieces for the sauce.

Mystery, I'm also packing and trying to get ready to get away. I'm also cooking dinner tonight instead of dh grilling. He asked me about something, and I replied that I have all the time in the world and I think perhaps he got the message. He went upstairs and made up that bed himself.

I'm working on supper...

Clothing is all washed up.

Ta-Da Tally continues..
** Trip to city was accomplished.
** LOL finished to put away.
** Desk project is underway. I'm not sure I can finish it today, but significant progress has been made.
** DS17 back is hurting so come home from work early. I tended to him. My guess is that sleep is what he needs the most.

Next up-
** Steps. I am 2k short of what I need today.

I have dinner thawing.
Put on some music it's helps ddoggo to deal with weather noise .
Tried watching a movie but it had too much drama in the middle of it.

Did get to a new color a couple times on my knitting project.
-----
Heard sirens with smoke to the west now. Dang!
Gotta go check fb.
Structure fire a mile or so from me.
I'm gonna put a sprinkler on in the back yard closest to that direction.

TaDa of refrigerator cleaning - everything pulled from top two shelves, removed and washed shelves, wiped down walls. Some things tossed since today was trash day. Switched the two shelves, because in my mind they last longer "sharing" the worst of the weight over time. Put them back slightly differently in a way that may give more usable space.

Ds came by. He and I sat and talked about life for a half-hour or so. So many things going well for his family, and yet he's worried because ddil works so hard, with tightly scheduled nursing hours, nearly burning out. He says if our in-law cousin who is also in the nursing profession asks her to vacation again at her parents' beach house, ds is "kicking her out to go have a break". He says she has been feeling down, saying her children are growing up while she can't find time to be the involved Mom she wants to be. She's thankful ds has such flexible hours and can be there for the kids, but there's frustration that she's had more education, professional experience, perfect work record, yet virtually no path for advancement and better pay or hours as he has had. Honestly, I was thinking, "traditional women's jobs". Sigh. I know that's not always the reason, but it sure happens a lot/still happens a lot.

Ds finishes his Bachelor's degree in July. He'd gotten the 2-year degree in Fire Science a dozen or so years back. I wanted to do something for him - maybe we can have a little get-together.

HRH came out from his office and gave ds a gift of commemorative Willie Nelson things - I'd seen the box but didn't even know he'd done it.

(((LadyM))) for ds, the deer, and LordM's difficulty with the voting.
We see a good many deer around here too, but I haven't actually had a close encounter in a while. Once, while dh was still living, we were going down a 4-lane highway, late at night, and I was driving. A deer just stopped right in the middle of my 2 lanes! Just stood there. I slowed down to a crawl -- there was no other traffic, and as I tried to go on past the deer, I swear he waited till I got there and charged into my rear fender! :o It only left a slight scratch, and we never did anything about it. DS travels the Natchez Trace to Mississippi quite often and that is a spot that really bears watching!

(((HUGS)) also for your ddil, Harriet. IKWYM about the hours and struggles with nursing. DDIL feels the best way to improve pay is to change jobs frequently. She does not have very flexible hours now, but she is home most evenings by 4:00/4:30.
Dneice. the pediatrician, seems frustrated with medicine in general.

I am frustrated in general. DGD spent the night last night. Today, I voted, went to the grocery store for bananas and snacks for the pool, took dgd to the pool and stayed up there about 3 hours. I had only planned to stay 2 hours, but just as I was getting ready to announce time to go, one of her classmates showed up with his little sister. Their mom is a teacher also, and a former student of mine, so I told dgd we could stay for a little while so she could play with them. We had been all alone until they arrived, and dgd was getting bored.
Then I came home, ate junk, and sat on the couch for the rest of the evening. I did make a Wmart list for pick up tomorrow.
I think I am going to bed as soon as I can brush my teeth and get in it. When I have sat outside in the heat for a long time, I just lose any energy I might have had. I know I should do better, keep at it for a few minutes, or at least one task, when we come home, but I just can't seem to make myself.

Tomorrow, I will skip yoga again and take dmom to the dentist. I think she wants to stop at Lowe's or Home Depot also.

Waving good night to all!
Tomorrow is another day.
