Has anyone been watching the F I F A soccer matches? I've watched the Toronto Blue Jays playing in Boston last night and tonight. Having a LOT of Scottish soccer fans at the baseball games has been interesting. Lots of singing and hooting and hollering. They are certainly enjoying themselves.
It's way past my bed time. Even though I did have a nap this afternoon, I'm still tired tonight and more than ready for my pillows. See y'all tomorrow, including LucyLee!!

Cathy, WonderBoy is glued to it all - whatever he can find. I know he watched the first game. I sent him a link to the video of the Curacao fan waiting for the team's plane to arrive, then dancing with the pilot on the tarmac in jubilation. HRH is constantly relaying info to me about the excitement of particular fans from one country finding welcome in another place, etc. Yes, he's mentioned Scottish fans, also Japanese fans, I believe.
Egg salad - love it but I think of this as a much milder, more comforting dish than deviled eggs, which, to me, rely heavily on the twang, one way or another - vinegar, mustard, more vinegar, maybe pickles for some, etc. Did I mention more vinegar? I knew some folks who wouldn't even make the deviled eggs if they ran out of paprika, because they want that fun visual!
I've sprayed in the garden with the foliar fertilizer.
Have found a white-frosted plastic jug that will work to cut out some plant markers tomorrow.
The indoor plants have been tended. Broccoli sprouts tended.
Kitchen all cleaned up from supper and the dishwasher is humming.
Tomorrow a load of drip dry laundry will be next up - already planned.

I know it is technically Thursday now, but my Wednesday was FULL and I want to record it!
I was really frustrated last night (Tuesday) because I was so tired after being at the pool for several hours with dgd, and I was just a mess. Exhuasted and down on myself for getting nothing done. I talked with ChatGPT for awhile and he/it tried to encourage me to give myself a little grace, pointing out that spending time with my DGD was not a waste, you know.
ANYWAY -- today, I overslept and had about half an hour to get to dmom's. I took a quick shower, put on a minimum amount of makeup, and got out the door. In the meantime, the church secretary called me to sign some checks and DGS called to tell me he was ready for me to come get him when I got home from dmom's.
Whew -- rushed to the church, then on to dmom's, and got her to the dentist -- amazingly, we were on time!
After she was finished there, I went to the chicken salad place and got a to-go order for supper. Then dmom and I stopped at her favorite fish place and ate lunch.
I left her... came straight home to get that chicken salad in the refrigerator. THEN...
* got dgs
* went to the post office
* went to dbil's office to give them dnephew's birthday card -- they are going to visit dnephew tomorrow
* filled up car
* got dgs something to eat
* went to the Dollar Tree -- got a Father's Day card for dson
* picked up Wmart order
* home, put away groceries
* washed and put away two loads of laundry, plus folded towels that had been on top of the dryer since Monday
* checked email and saw it was time to order away-game tickets... called dbil and got his order in -- and THANK GOODNESS -- he told me to put them on his credit card! That was a relief. Usually, he has paid at the end of the year for these, but since we don't have to half the cost of them, he said it would save us swapping money later. I was glad I didn't have to have that big expense on my card. He ordered tickets for four games, I think.
I read the paper and did the crossword and Sudoku (sp?) AND did a little more of my expense tracking -- trying to watch for those annual charges that catch me off guard.
So it has been a very productive day and I am in bed now, watching The Virginian.
I just needed a record of a day that I accomplished something!
