Kitty, glad the roses are responding well to the new regimen! Yes, it sounds like Freddie has big feelings! Interesting theme - architects.
Welcome home, Bama! Fresh food from the Farmer's Market is the best! Or can be the best. I got a pint of strawberries there a couple weeks ago. They were not the best. LOL!
Glad you enjoyed the party, kitkat! I feel like the older I get, the less in life I take for granted  I appreciate more in life each day. I hope it's nothing serious with dpup.

Thinking of Peaches. . . I feel a little worried because I think she had some illness but she never wrote about it explicitly. But I'm not sure she ever made the transition here.

I'm not sure I got back here yesterday. :?: I was really wiped out all day. I got a few small things done: attended a payroll meeting online, did a lot of communication for payroll, rearranged my weekly work out with a trainer, arranged for a walking date with friend MM, made a quick WF run, cooked a homemade meal of pasta with tomato and mushroom sauce and roasted zucchini.

Today: I think I slept 9-10 hours last night; I was in bed for 10 hours but I also was awake in the night for what felt like an hour. I feel better-rested this morning. After 7 days of houseguests, M is now hosting 3 friends here for 2 nights. She is using the extra bedroom + play room downstairs, which we just used for niece L and ds+fam. She washed the sheets and remade the beds - she's doing everything for them. I don't plan to engage with them much/ at all. They're heading to Toronto together tomorrow and will be back for 2 more nights next weekend. SO, though I'm not officially hosting, there are still houseguests in my house. How does that happen? LOL!

I have a phone call with MT, the new trustee, at 10:30. Then, I'll have my weekly campus academics check in meeting for payroll with AC at 11:15. I'm going to jog the hill this afternoon - it will be warm but still within range for me. I need to pick up more groceries for dinner tonight: fajitas and green salad. We need to use up some tortillas. Tonight, we'll have a zoom call with ds+F+baby I (who has just started crawling - F says she is very fast!).

Next:
- payroll: final read through of exams
- some qt
- reclaim kitchen
- back exercises

Later:

Good morning, Helia. I’m bad about not remembering who posts in the group, especially if they aren’t one of the more regular posters. Looks like peaches last post was in this group on March 3. Hope she’s ok.

Done:
Called to check on atv pu - they will call back
Got breakfast at truck stop plus an energy drink (it’s too hot to be expected to function but this grass won’t stop growing) :P
Made grocery order and scheduled pu

Next:
Dailies

To Do:
Tech to pu atv for maintenance
Tech to look at generator ( our power went out during the storms over the weekend and so did the generator )
Brush Beau who has tufts of fur falling off of him, he sheds so bad
Ride mow
Let DDs dog out
Walk dogs

Thanks Bama and helia
Pup seems OK. She is still trying to have some grass but that is almost normal for her... We just finished a good walk.
She was very good about other dogs. I added a little sitting time on a busy street corner, trying to get her more relaxed about the noises. Then, we walked to a little park - and she was very good even when a Mal was passing maybe 25 feet from us.
helia I agree about the markets . I tend to pick my fav. vendors, and go back to them. Some, for the past 20 years...
Bama is Little Man a cat?

Accomplishments:
up/coffeed
doggie out/in
D2S
lol started/hamper downstairs
meds counted out for week
med taken
recipes located
talked to DD
breakfast
pup walked

Next:
adv lol
take supplements
make marinade for tempeh

clean and chop rhubarbs
cook some
make overnight oats

So it's architects this week, kittykatt! I sure did not order a bright, sunny and superhot day, but guess what, yes, I am having it! :-)
Dogged, I think you got really lucky (or, well, deserving) with Mark Carney. He's a good one!
kitkat, glad you were able to enjoy the party!

Had a (planned) errands day and then an emergency nap (the high temperatures and no AC is really wiping me out), so it's 5:40pm and I am only now getting started. But I did clean upstairs yesterday, so I am left with routines, dinner, laundry and cherries for today, and of course watering.

TaDas
- morning madness
- snacks for kids
- morning routine
- sort and delay start load of colors
- day at work
- call shop - still waiting on parts
- library
- buy end of year teacher gifts
- buy shirt for DS
- drive home
- emergency nap

ToDos
- midday routine
- fold laundry
- 1 batch of canned cherries

Oh trissie I remember the days with no AC... Dmom was a master in using shades/curtains to keep rooms as cool as possible...
How hot is it at your place?
helia I was thinking of Peaches , too. I hope she is OK.

I changed plans a little:
Made soup first -
had to go out to pick up some potato (walking)
and my prescription.
Soup is doing its thing on the stove (leeks/cauli/potato)
I'm enjoying my second cup of coffee
pup is sleeping happily in front of me.

Next:
lol cont'd
tempeh
oats
rhubarbs

Bama, is DH healing well?
helia, but tomorrow night you will have the house to yourself, right? no hosting?
kitkat, we can keep the house at reasonable temperatures even without AC (well, it's brick with good layer of insulation - keeps steady temperatures both in summer and in winter) - it's the getting outside that is taking its toll! mind you, I only drive 15 minutes out of my 1 hour commute, rest is public transportation and if the open and close the doors every couple minutes, they get rather hot even if they are equiped with AC (and not all are)-

TaDas
- midday routine
- fold laundry
- 1 batch of canned cherries

ToDos
- dinner
- afternoon routine
- load the electric canner

Hi, all. I have about ten minutes before I should start getting ready to bring Germane to the groomer. I got up early but wasted my early start. I have spiffed myself as well as I'm able to with the water situation and have been washing dishes in cold water.

Kittykatt, I'm hoping that the change leads to good things for your country.

Thanks, trissie. I think that we were just lucky, and sincerely hope that we have enough sense to keep supporting our PM.

Tuesday
Got ready for shower. Discovered that our hot water system upgrade was an upgrade from good pressure and very hot water to mediocre pressure and barely room temperature water.
Did a sponge bath
Gave Germane her heart pill.
Scrubbed out sink and basin
Washed three basinsful of dishes

Yes, trissie, tomorrow we have the house to ourselves! We're not really hosting M's houseguests even though they're staying in our house; we haven't even met them yet. They're out and about all day. Stay cool in the heat.
Sounds like a great soup, kitkat! Glad the pup is doing OK. I really like rhubarb but don't cook with it.
Bama, thanks for looking up Peaches. I guess she did make the transition here, just hasn't posted for a long time. Why won't that darn grass stop growing?
That doesn't sound like much of an upgrade, Doggedly. I hope Germane is happy at the groomers.

In a month's time, the grass will accommodate you by turning brown and patchy, helia.

Bama, are you back from your cruise? How was it?
I'm sorry to hear about Tux.

trissie, I'm glad that your house is well insulated to protect you in the worst of the heat.
kitkat, my mother was a master at that too. It helped a lot that we were on the bank of the rapids, so there was always a cooler breeze on our island than on the urban part of Montreal.
