Fielded a long phone call from the financial guy, mostly just personable chat. HRH may call him back and ask a few questions I didn't get to.

We had Mexican for an early supper.

Twins', good job tweaking your computer space 🖥 even if you change your mind a few times. One wall of HRH's office is neat and has an understandable draping of cords, but another wall - yipes. When he tackles that tangle, a couple people will need to be alert and engaged for the project of changing things around, looping behind furniture. They'd also have to be able to crawl around and slide underneath, etc. I've wondered if he should ask during the summer for help from one of the grandboys.

Cathy, so you and dh both got some time to visit with your own friends today. Sounds like fun for each of you.

LadyM, wow that is a lot all at once. I'm glad you can get some advice from the handyman. What type of lighting did you choose?

Honda dealership called wanting to set up appt to do maintenance on the Odessey. They seemed put out when I told them the mileage wasn't enough yet. I got the feeling they were getting paid for making appointments and they were frustrated that the vehicle wasn't eligible. They instructed me to call them for an appointment when the vehicle screen says to do maintenance. O.k.a.y.

Handyman is coming Sunday afternoon to look at the shed and kitchen lights. He has a full schedule so I'm not sure when he will get to them.

I selected kitchen lights that are similar in size to existing so there won't be a need for sheetrock/painting repairs after the replacement. I hope. Two of the lights in the center of the kitchen are 4' x 1' led lights, the light over the sink is a 9" circle led light. The ceiling fan is 36" blades with led light. Right now, the only working light in the kitchen is the one over the stove. There are 2 windows in the kitchen that let in light from outside, but it isn't helpful when dark.

DD50 and DD15 came for a quick visit. DD50 is preparing to have hernia surgery in near future and needed financial support.

Fruit flies are in abundance. I made a diy mixture of sugar water & vinegar with a paper cone on top. It has been highly successful in reducing the fruit fly population.

I don't have enough steps today. It seems I have been focusing on things that kept me sitting in one place. Being stuck inside is sometime necessary. But now it is time for me to go outside, breath fresh air and do fun things.

Good evening! Got back late Sunday afternoon, and spent Monday mostly dozing. During the convention, I was getting up much earlier than usual and getting to bed a little later, so I was whipped. Yesterday was unpacking in earnest and a start on laundry, which has not been proceeding briskly due to the washer's habit of stopping randomly. (When I'm done here, I've got to go downstairs and throw a load into the dryer -- fingers crossed that it is washed.) DH departed for Scout camp about an hour and a half (if that) after we got home on Sunday. I was feeling particularly lonely today. I've finished this month's book club book -- The Handmaid's Tale -- so I didn't have that to distract me unlike the last couple of days. DD sequestered herself with DC to play a long-awaited computer game that released today. So there I was, all by my lonesome, dinner made and no one to share it with. Finally, it occurred to me to come here, and I CUOPed and am no longer feeling so lonely. The kids are no longer on the computer but are watching YouTube videos here in the living room.

The convention was great (other than the long hours). No worries about t-shirt prices for me -- I didn't even enter the dealer hall. Got to play Wingspan, which I seldom get the chance to do. Played a new Ticket to Ride -- Northern Lights -- that we don't own yet and haven't been able to get our hands on. Don't know if any of you are familiar with the card game Fluxx, but it is the 30th anniversary of the game, so the makers had a big celebration and a weekend-long event. Much fun!

Goodness! It's almost 11! I'd better get that wash into the dryer. See you in the morning!
