Doggedly, I'm happy to hear that you had a good night sleep. (and that Germane slept too!) Enjoy a lovely summer day!
FFB, I am sorry that you weren't chosen for the job you applied for, but it is encouraging to know that you interviewed well. There will be another opportunity; you have your resume' updated.
L.ann, Life is difficult when power is out. Everything is electric these days. I hope you were able to sleep.
kittykatt, that is a beautiful duck! Church on Sunday sets the pace for the week, doesn't it. We had beautiful, meaningful hymns today.
Youth and Pastor were back from a 3 days (plus travel time) mission service trip to a poverty area in a city 400 miles from here. It was good to hear how they were servants to those in need: painting walls in a homeless shelter; weeding an urban garden in a vacant lot in a neighborhood where it's 2 miles to the nearest grocery with fresh fruits/ vegetables; helping make and serve hotdish at a community meal; all while listening to people's faith and life stories.
I did get some filing done last night. Had a difficult time getting to sleep - I guess I have to give up tea in the evening! I was still awake at 0300; tea has limited but apparently definitely present caffeine. and I am apparently sensitive to that. It's a beautiful day here, but I just might lie down for a little while before going to see dfBS. She has a few things at her house she wants me to bring.
I bought 2 birthday cards last ime I was at Hallmark - can't find the bag, and they need to get mailed. So that will be a search today.
