Well, I was right to postpone because storms just tore around us here. Rain going sideways was really something to see.

I was snug at home, but did worry somewhat about dd27, who had a long drive toward Twins' area in the late afternoon. She is going to be helping a friend this weekend with her tent at an art festival. And worry somewhat about ddolder, who was driving WonderBoy home from college visit. And I worried somewhat about ds, but he was driving his family on a trip in a different direction. Ddolder called and they mercifully missed all the bad weather, including a potential tornado touch-down near the college they had just left.

Tobias had a vet visit this a.m. It was a help to have dd27 hanging with me for that errand.

I want to get the kitchen back to rights before bedtime.

What a good day it has been. Exhausting but worth it. All 6 sections of the yard have been mowed and 2 of the sections have been weedeated. There are so many fences that it seems to take forever to get both sides. DS17 and I teamed up to also cut down 3 trees and manually pulled them to the road where they can be easily (HA!) loaded tomorrow and taken to the burn pit.
I've got 12k steps today from walking in the yard!

Teenagers are funny. DS17 wasn't paying attention & was unaware the yard was getting away from me until I told him last night that I was tapping out and he needed to step up. NOW he wants the yard done to his standard. He has suddenly become super picky with every aspect of it. I'm okay with that. He is welcome to spend as much time and effort on the yard as he wants. The more the merrier!
