Good afternoon! Happy anniversary to Lord and LadyM! Continuing to set those relationship goals!

Kind of drowsy here -- I stayed up too late looking at photographs.

Livestream went mostly well. Fortunately, I had noticed before Mass actually started that the countdown on the battery was going much faster than a minute per minute, so DH got me a spare battery before we started. I ended up having to switch the battery during the offertory, which wasn't too bad timing. I had trouble, though, getting the old battery off -- it's quite easy if I'm just holding the camera, but mounted on the tripod, it's harder to reach, and I didn't want to take it off the tripod because then I would have to take the time to remount it. But it was relatively smooth.

After church, we went to K&P's for their daughter's graduation party. It was a lovely party -- friends, family, some of the dance moms, a few of us adult family friends. Plenty of good food and conversation.

In between, I had a bit of a surprise. I came home from church to find a delivery of flowers. From the dentist? The card said, "We look forward to renewing your smile! From the offices of [oral surgeon] and [dentist]." I have no idea which office initiated this -- I'm guessing the oral surgeon? Anyhow, it's a gorgeous bouquet -- mostly purple, with blue hydrangea and pink carnations. But there's roses, mums, tulips, freesia, statice, and heather and ferns for filler. I kept thinking it's LadyM's DD15 who deserves dentist flowers. Although it sounds like maybe she's not awake enough yet to enjoy them?

Nothing going on today. Two doctor's appointments tomorrow -- primary care in the morning, cardiologist in the afternoon. Two different directions.

Smoke is back here, though not as bad as it was. Like Cathy, we had a wee bit of rain, but that was all. Not sure what I'm going to do next, maybe some embroidery. Have a great day!

Ddoggo did not wake me up this morning it was the news paper delivery next door I believe.
I rested after an early brunch b/c I was up so early.
Got the next few pieces to seam together for in the morning.
Have a house dress on for comfort now.

LM congrads and best wishes to you both.
I have plans for meals the rest of today.

I have my sewing machine elevated on some blocks as I have a long torso.
It's on a kiddie ironing board piece with two 2x4's under it to make it the right height.
I have a table that would be the correct height but it's to large for that space I tried it
early on when I changed the rooms around. Had to do some musical desk stuff that year.

Did the dishes and dumped trash.

Dh did the back yard and I did the front. I got the blanket out of the dryer and back onto the couch. Dh sits on this blanket to safe the couch from getting damp.

The Blue Jays lost today but that's okay. I got the bathroom and kitchen garbage out. I mopped the hall way. Dishes are being pre-washed in the sink. There were 2 large pots that needed to get soaked as well.

Dh asked me what was wrong earlier and I told him that there is nothing wrong but there is a lot of stuff I wanted to get done today. So far it's getting done. Slow and steady, etc.

Oy vey. Received a text from out-of-town daughter of old friends and she had been to our cemetery and was reporting that it looked terrible. Turns out it was the same day I met with the maintenance co about trimming shrubs up and cleaning up, and the day after a huge tree branch came down. (That was last month, when we had to take that tree down, not this month, when we had two more trees come down...) I apologized and told her we're trying to catch up on maintenance.

I'm mostly puttering but getting things done. Company arriving in 30 min or so.

Bumping the Sunday thread over the Saturday one that Blessed just posted in. I was wondering when I had a nap today.

I wish I had time for a nap today. I finally filled the dishwasher and it's going now.
I've chopped all the veggies for the ramen dish I'm making for supper. Broccoli stems and carrot pieces are pre-cooking and I just added the onions.
I am trying to get all the pots/pans/large utensils done before I go to bed tonight.

DS52 just pulled out of our driveway headed home after spending 5 hours with us. He left his home at 5am and should arrive back home around 10pm. I enjoyed the visit very much.

DS52 and I do frequent phone calls and video chats but being together in person gives DS52 a better understanding of how DH is doing. I asked DS52 to give me his unbiased opinion on how I can better help DH. DS52 told me I need to quit putting pressure on myself to do more. I don't think of it as putting pressure on myself, but I do acknowledge that I stay in constant monitoring mode.

I just discovered today that DH has not been using dish soap when washing dishes. I noticed the dish soap bottle is gone, and DH doesn't know what happened to it. He said he doesn't need soap to wash dishes. (!!!!!!)
Adjust...adjust....adjust is what we do as DH slowly loses abilities. I am adding "prepare soapy dish water in the sink" to my to-do tasks before DH washes the dishes.

And this is what blessed said!
I was finally able to buy a new couch for the front room/living room. We bought a leather one bc the dogs were so so hard on the fabric couches we have always had.

I have been thinking of having a mini card file again - it has been multiple years since I have had one. (for when I need a very small thing to do).

mom is not feeling well today - I don't know why.-everytime she has the furosemide she crashes. it's not a good life for her when she is like this.

timer on for watering.
move to another zone when the timer starts. I can't wait until I can have our drip system done again.

yay d Nancy on getting 2 naps in
yay on your outside work
praying the effects from the smoke diminish!
gave a good night

d Harriet thank you!
Sunday visitors! - and how lovely that dgs mowed your grass! how nice.
how nice to have dgd come and shared her vacation gifts to you!
and her dad weed eating - wow that's wonderful
yay on your work!
lovely lunch

hi d Cathy hope it rains more. praying the air gets better fast! yay on nap!

hi d twins. how fun to be at the river - does your area got alligators? I am never too sure where the line is on the map. yay on your walk and your errands
it is always a joy to be here with you!
