There we go! Thanks, Twins! I found the colour text button. Now to see if it really works.
DARE TO DUMP IT!
There are several items on my dining room table that don't belong there. While they may not all need to be dumped, they definitely need to be dealt with.

There are some things that need to be done outside today, too:

- put/throw away/donate 10 items from dining room table
- doggie doo patrol in the back yard
- deadhead veronica in the front yard
- pick ripe raspberries
- doggie haircut (round 1)

DS17 just received a job offer. It isn't his dream type job he wants when he turns 18 years old, but he is approaching it with the attitude of "A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush." I think he is going to accept the job offer. This means the rest of my 3x5" cards with jobs around here will probably not get done anytime soon. That's okay. I was kind of making up things to do to keep him busy.

There! That lot is done, except for round 1 of the doggie haircut for Parker. DSon got sidetracked with a neighbour discussing the wood on our driveway. We had to make the sad choice to have the tree cut down, as we couldn't risk another episode, and there have been several severe storms here this summer, so we have the wood (all except the small branches) stacked on the sides of the driveway. There's a LOT of wood there, so I left it up to DSon whether to share it or not - he probably will.

Correction: round 1 of the doggie haircut has been completed! DSon came in while I was typing, so we grabbed the pupper and got things started. He doesn't care for being groomed, and my clippers overheat fairly quickly, so we have to do it a bit at a time. Now I'm going to take a short break, and then get back to work.

- doggie haircut (round 2)
- deadhead daisies in the front yard
- find more yarn for kitty cat blankets
- get started organizing and washing the laundry shelves
- wash kitchen floor

We tend to not remove tree root balls because it requires digging (backhoe) and pulling the stump out with high probably of disturbing nearby ground.
In agreement, LadyM, but the rootballs were out of the ground, and dislodged gravestones that can't be set until it's gone. The little cylinders in this photo sit upon a base that has a curved top. The base can't be reset without the rootball gone.

and this rootball had to go too...you can see the overturned stone. https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/s3t6u5ur ... p01c3&dl=0
And this big stump is getting ground down, it's huge and unsightly. https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/ycbhrg6u ... e6d9s&dl=0

LOL, no wonder this has stressed me out. I'll take out the links later...

I started down the steps to get ready for workout and realized that my right knee is really really hurting. It's been chronic for awhile, and the last couple of days have been worse. I think I probably need to ck in with the doc, but I think I'm going to rest today instead of workout.

bittersweet! I love seeing you posting again.

Twins - WOW! Those are outrageously difficult tree removals. What a challenge!

I was kind of impressed (afterwards!) with the two teenager boys method of removing a tree taller than our home that root was on our side of the fence but the rest of the tree was hanging over the fence into the neighbor yard. I'm glad I didn't see it happening. They tied chains and straps to as high up in the tree as they could get....then they tied the other end of the chain & straps to the bumper of pickup. One teenager used chain saw to cut the tree at stump level while the other teenager using the pickup to pull the tree to fall away from the fence. There are a gazillion things that could have gone wrong with this process, but somehow, they managed to get it down without a disaster happening. "God takes care of the clueless"

I did two portions when I cooked an egg bacon & cheese wrap.
So one is for another meal.
The one I ate very tastey.

I've been teary today just overwhelming to see all the help coming in to a town 1,500 population. 45 min from me in Oregon.
The canceled the round-up aka rodeo fair grounds have food trucks, fire truck etc. there.
One guy took down his fence a barbed wire one for parking and use for landing etc.

Neighboring state called out natl. gurard to help Idaho.
Fb posted needed list for snacks, beverages its and they got that in truck loads.
Australia is sending fire fighters.
Alaska is sending smoke jumpers for areas with out roads that they go in by air drop.
I have put a lot of posts about that on my fb page.

[It is smokier here prob. b/c they have the fires being put out.]
-----
I did not see it was time to cut more strips so I did that found some more greenish blue fabric.

Hello, all! Glad to see bittersweet back and in her accustomed lavender!

I have been a total lump today. S2s, and that's about it. I stayed up way too late last night, as I had the night before. When DH went to work, I didn't take my Wegovy and then fell asleep again until nine! So I was a couple of hours behind, and I had to wait breakfast until a while after I'd taken my thyroid, which I couldn't take until a while after I'd taken my Wegovy. So I didn't have breakfast till about 10:30 or 11, after which I nearly dozed off again! I must get to bed at a reasonable hour tonight, which will be made difficult because DH has his guys' night and won't be home in time to pick DC up from play practice, which is supposed to go till 9 but more often goes until the college closes at 10. I will just have to make sure I go straight to bed when I get home. Of course, DH will likely want to talk about his evening....

DC is finally registering for classes. Sadly, two of the classes they'd like run simultaneously. They worried that it might be a problem if they only had class Tuesday and Thursday -- I think it's wonderful! That gives me three days of the week I can schedule things without worrying who needs the car when. Because if we can get late DFIL's old car running, the goal is to have DD use it to get to work. Her job search has been hampered by having to limit herself to places she can get to without a car (or be driven to, which has eliminated a couple of jobs due to hours). Of course, first we have to get her driving. sigh Meanwhile, some of my friends' kids the same age are getting married and buying houses and such. (Must remind myself not to compare -- besides, at least one of my friends has a son a little older who is still at home and working odd jobs since he got laid off. She says, comparing. )

It is almost 3. I should really make something happen around here. Maybe I should have you all keep me accountable. I'll get to work at TOTH and head back here at quarter to four, with the goal of completing...
• breakfast and lunch dishes
• some time on the treadmill

See you at 3:45 Eastern!
**********
Breakfast and lunch dishes are done. There are still a couple of pots & pans to do, but those will wait till later. I only spent 5 minutes on the treadmill -- I normally try to hit it after breakfast and dinner, and I have just discovered that this time of day, it takes the full sun. Oof.

Next up, I will have DD take a plastic bag and retrieve the rags from the bottom of the bathroom floor. The toilet overflowed, and instead of using the old towels at the top of the closet to mop up the mess, they used a stack of kitchen rags. Those will need washing, and I want to do DH's shirts today, so I will also have DD retrieve the empty hangers from the rod upstairs. Then I can wash DH's shirts, start them tumbling, put the rags in, and pull and hang the shirts. That'll be done before the rags are through in the wash. That'll probably take more than :45.

See you at 4:45!
**********

Back a little early — I’m on pace to be flipping the wash at quarter till. Shirts are in, rags are waiting. Said prayers while the washer was running. When I’m done with the wash, I’ll have to see what the kids want for dinner. We could do pesto chicken salad, or we could get takeout. We just had pizza the other day, so I don’t think that will be the choice, though I’ll seldom turn down pizza.

Awe - that is wonderful to see everyone coming together to help.

DD15 and Astra are unpacked and settling in. Astra is a mixed breed of red heeler, black mouth cur, pit and lab. Her outward appearance seems like a mixture of brindle cur and black lab. DD15 is 100% responsible for Astra care and the kennel is located in DD15 bedroom. We will assist with Astra care when DD15 is in school, but otherwise it is totally her dog.

Even more posts about help that came is so heart warming.
North E. Oregon, Elgin, Baker City, La Grande,
one of the communities cancelled their redeo; probably in Joesph, Ore. the Wallowa Lake, area.

I talked to my dsis for a bit.
I've not done much today processing all that info.

I've been brushing through my craft books.
