Hello! Slept in this morning -- couldn't get to sleep for worrying about DC's light switch, which doesn't always turn on the light it's supposed to (we don't think it's the bulb because it's a two-bulb fixture, but we can't get to it to check). I remembered that I had a smart bulb kicking around, so we set that up in the lamp across their room, so now they can turn it on and off from bed and leave the other switch off. They can also adjust the brightness and color, so bonus. I was able to get to sleep after that, but then I woke up to the sound of heavy rain and went downstairs to close the open window in the sun room lest rain get to the treadmill. It'd take a good bit of wind for the rain to be able to reach, but I was still worried. So back to sleep, and I overslept. Accidentally hit off rather than snooze on the alarm that usually wakes me thoroughly.

The worry combined with the lethargy makes me wonder if I should contact my psychiatrist, but I'm not yet convinced. I'll be keeping an eye on it, though.

So sorry LadyM's DD15 had such a rough first day. Good of the staff to be so on top of things (and good call, Mom!) I hope DD15 feels more at ease over the next few days of school and chooses to stick with it for both your sakes.

Goodness, Cathy, the last thing you need is more rain!

And here I am, losing focus to properly CUOP! I hope you all have good days (and blessed's mom's tummy feels better)!

Dfriend K, who has Fridays off in August, texted to see if I could come play. I have not been able to keep my nose to the grindstone enough to say yes, even with the prospect of a good time. sigh

I am... uncomfortable. My newest med lists both UTIs and yeast infections among its side effects. I cannot yet tell which this might be, or I may just be irritated. I am hoping it is not a UTI because that would defer me from my planned blood donation Sunday. There is a blood emergency here.

I should text K and tell her I can't come out and play. And then get some laundry done. And figure out dinner. If I need to thaw sone fish, I should have started that hours ago. again, sigh

Off I go!

Whew -- y'all are all up and at em and I am still sitting here in my t-shirt and undies... and yes, it is 1:00 pm here in the South. SMH.
After having dgd here demanding so much of my time, when she is NOT here, I am just useless. I know that all I need to do is turn on the water in the shower, but apparently, it is almost impossible for me to do.

I lay in bed and scrolled for a while, then dfriend called -- returning my call from Tuesday. I had called him Tuesday, because Wednesday was the 25th anniversary of the death of our mutual friend -- remember, OG? He didn't really give me a chance to bring that up, however, and I guess that is just as well. OG was like a brother to him, and his best friend, and it is probably at least as painful for him to talk about as it is for me.
I tried to call my dmom but she didn't answer.
I ate (banana, pb crackers, and a pop tart.) (I know that is probably not very healthy.)
I did my Bible reading.
Now I'm just stuck.

I need to go to the bank to deposit rent check from dmom's renter.
I need to go to Dollar General to look for Flonase and stomach med.
And I need to
-- change sheets
-- do WHB
-- -- vacuum
-- -- dust
-- -- clean bathrooms
And at 5:00 pm, there is a football event -- not quite the big to-do that was planned & kept me from taking dmom to her class reunion, but still something I want to attend. After that, dgd will come home with me, I suspect, and there will be another busy weekend. I may not get any of the WHB stuff done. This is just an OMM list. There's plenty of other stuff I could add.

UPDATE --
I am out of the shower now. Shaved my legs and put tanning cream on them. I'm waiting for it to dry right now. I also have the Merle Norman mask on my face.
Texted a friend I haven't checked on in a while -- the one who had been having mini strokes.

DD15 had a good day at school.
** BIG SIGH of relief***
The principal called DD15 into her office and they had a one-on-one meeting to discuss everything. DD15 felt valued and appreciated.
While DD15 was out of the classroom the teacher had a very passionate discussion with DD15 classmates. Friends of DD15 told her later the teacher was crying while talking about what happened and how it will not happen again. The student was a bit shocked because the teacher said "i am p*ssed". That was probably not the best way to speak but the teacher did get her message across.
Hopefully this whole thing will blow over and just be a bump on the road to having a good school year.

There are some things to haul to the city dumpster that is available 2-5pm on Friday. When I tried to start the 89 pickup it wouldn't start. I text DS18 about it and he volunteered to take the battery for replacement (under warranty) tomorrow. So the things to be hauled off will have to wait until next Friday.

I have started selecting something to declutter TOMORROW and putting it in a place where I can easily see it. I don't know how to explain the change in attachment to the item, but I just know that a change happens. At first I am reluctant to declutter the item, but by the time I see and consider it several times then I am sick of thinking about it and am eager to get it out of the house. Decluttering loses its emotion and becomes easy

Had lunch with DD and a good talk.
The took a couple hours. Then she came by and
fixed a drawer and got some crates to used for holding things
for her deliveries in her rig for work too.
Found a welcome thing with hooks for a candle making station.

Hi.

I have this week's load of mixed laundry going. I also have a dishwasher full with various mixing bowls from yesterday. It rained here a bit this morning. Not a long or heavy rain event. Weed whacker guy showed up around noon ready to whack those weeds. He does an amazing job, but his speedy work comes with a higher price tag than I would like. Oh, well...
