I put my hand deep into the chest freezer and grabbed whatever I touched. The winner was a package of cube steak. Now I need to decide how will I cook it?
So many choices.
Chicken fry?
Marinated in brown gravy?
Swiss steak in tomato-based sauce?
Serve it with mashed potatoes or rice?
Decisions. Decisions.

Hi!

I went to Walmart this morning. There were very few people in there even though it was almost 11 a.m. There were a LOT of back to school supplies available at very good prices. I decided that I don't even need my yellow markers this year. I still have a full package in my desk drawer. I didn't even buy paper supplies!!

I did buy 2 cartons of chocolate milk. I've already had a good long drink from one of them.

lol I thought the spinach was on the sandwich - nothing better than a fresh tomato sandwich!
I have to get on a healthy tally myself - not sure exactly how to do it but I will focus on it this Sunday.

I will say my tom cat that I had would be taken to the back room - you could hear him all the way in the front office as well. he was the sweetest cat but he did not like the vets office

I found out that our property line is off - I was going to put a fence in but now I have to rethink it. All the trees etc. I planted were based on the marker (a pipe) and I am far off by a lot. (I had the fence guy here and he told me the bad news - so we have to wait).

I have been cranky all day so maybe the news hit me a bit more than expected - just a bit grumpy- If I go with a fence then I will have to move all of the cut the trees, bushes and plants. I also found out that my area on my other neighbors side is a lot bigger - he would have a conniption fit if I put the fence where my line is.
we have a easement on his side as well.

I have the electric dog fence people coming out tomorrow to see if we can get the one dogs collar to be stronger. she doesn't even flinch. maybe I won't need a fence after all.

my neighbors do not want a fence I can't blame them. I want to put a black aluminum fence so it would be see through to all the neighbors but it still will be an uproar.

Cube steaks in flour and then fried in butter for 3 minutes on each side. Then a brown gravy mixture was added and they simmered until tender. 16 servings of instant mashed potatoes made.
I took picture of finished dishes and texted it to DS18 and DD15 so they know what to expect to find in the refrigerator. That may be all I'm cooking for the family today. There is other ready-to-eat foods available plus a full freezer and pantry if they would rather cook something themselves.

I made myself a huge omelet using liquid egg, 2 regular eggs and various vegetables. It is going to take me awhile to eat it because it is so HUGE. I'll put half of it into a wrap and eat the other half by itself. First priority of food selection is micronutrients, then finding a way to make it tasty. I have no desire to eat yucky tasting food, no matter how healthy it is. Finally I want my food to make me feel good after eating it.

I am staying 90% pain free from sciatic nerve. When I stop then i experience pain when i start moving again for the first 30 seconds or so. After I get past that initial movement then the pain goes away.

I did a few errands. It was rather busy not overly so.
Had to get my Rx three of em.
A few items I did not pick up when I was there last time.
I have those items put away now.

More Ta Das
-Did some desk cleaning upstairs, both genealogy/work desk and crafty desk, not entirely done with either
-wrote four HOA checks, one to reimburse me (deposited it with mobile app already) two checks to mail today, and another to mail next week.
-filed FYE 6/30/2026 paid bills for cemetery
-pulled together papers dealing with cemetery construction
-emailed temple about check I can pick up this afternoon
-checked balances in bank accts (three, mine, hoa, cemetery) and my two credit cards

I'm heading out to my workout soon. So far I haven't talked myself out of it. And I can pick up the cemetery check after.

dh doesn't like to do utensils or all the dishes at once- he also dislikes washing the sink - I didn't realize it was so bad - I scrubbed the sink clean - I think I have to add that card to my night time routine. it literally took me a half an hour to finish the few dishes and the sink - I used an electric scrubber and barkeepers friend and comet. it finally looks great. I also scrubbed the counter and tiles on the right side of the sink.

no cabinets today.
empty the last counter and wash well.
cleaned window above the sink - I need to work on the outdoor of that window as it has a beginning of a wasp nest on there
flipped laundry again - mom's laundry that is left to do: her white towels
folded more of her laundry - it's ready for her to put on hangers- I should be done with all of it
I need to vacuum the first floor as dogs are showing that they live in the house - I missed yesterday

I am making French toast tonight with fresh fruit -
mom likes bacon so that will be on her plate.

yay d twins; desk work, HOA work, yay on finishing bills/pulling papers for the cemetery construction. yay on balancing check books and your credit cards!

so lovely that you have ready to eat meals in your fridge - mine are completely out. i don't think I will be cooking much until the weather is cooler.

tightened dogs collar but it still didn't stop her from going down the road.
I tested it and it is working - I got a nice zap but it isn't strong enough for her.

taking a short break: mom is awake but doesn't want to get up.
I had 1/2 of a chick filet sandwich for lunch. I stopped eating those and now they don't taste as great as I used to think. '
