LIKELY TMI WARNING: Dh got in the shower this morning after dbro had showered, and found bits of p**p on the shower floor. Dh cleaned it up and disinfected the shower. When dbro came home from errands, I asked him about it. He didn't deny it but just brushed it off. . . I won't share details, but I was p***-ed. I told dh, and he was cool, not upset. He talked me down and told me I shouldn't have mentioned it to dbro. :| We're just trying to have as good a time as possible for the next 20ish hours until they leave.

It is now raining pretty steadily. I think we'll go on an outing after the rain stops.

Next:
- after lunch clean up
- put away laundry
- WF errand?
- put away groceries

Later:
- make bed
- outing with dbro + dniece
- after lunch clean up
- run and empty dw?
- WF: sides to go with the brisket
- coffee shop? work on payroll: exam prep
- 4 pm - start the potatoes + veggie we choose (roasted mix - broccoli, mushrooms, onions?); make a pan of brownies?
- 5 dinner here: smoked brisket (from dd30), potatoes, mixed veggies; any dessert?
- after dinner clean up
- duolingo
- update WW
- update MFP
- reading?

TaDas!
- up; weighed self - up a lot from yesterday; will use this weight for weekly check in however
- coffee
- email deletions + weather website: rain 1-5ish, high of 74*F. 64*F now and cloudy.
- back exercises
- gather everything
- 5K run in local park
- convo with dh re: shower incident
- dh folded the giant pile of laundry
- dh left for coffee shop; he can't bear being in the house
- s2s and self care
- squeegeed and wiped down shower
- made soup for dniece for lunch
- dbro ate the entire other can of soup for his lunch (I eat just half for lunch); added soup to my groc. list
- my own lunch - wip

Spot-cleaned bathroom floor
Changed Germane’s pee pads
Put on a pot of coffee
15:
Scrubbed out sink and basin
Washed a couple of basinsful of dishes
Bagged up bathroom garbage
Started loading cart to bring to basement

Cleaned up after dog. Spot-cleaned floor.

Oh, so frustrating! Sat down at my computer with coffee, and saw a live broadcast by our prime minister. My computer has no sound.
Scrambled to find it on my phone. Caught the last few minutes. Tried to watch from the beginning: can’t.
Tried to find it on TV. Found analysis after the fact.
Finally found it on CPAC on my phone.

Hi, all. I have reached that disheartening point in housework where chaos is increased and things look worse than when you started. However, intellectually I do know that there are some dishes washed and I can use the potato bin and rice cooker once they dry, I will have more hangers available once I wipe them down, including a coveted pants hanger. The wardrobe cart is stander flatter against the wall than it was.
My plan for the clothes is to try them on after washing. If they fit, separate into seasonal and wear them, or off season and put them in the new container that squishes the air out and down to the basement until fall. If they don't fit, if I really love them they go into the squishy container for the basement to appease Inner Brat who would put the brakes on this whole venture if I didn't have that safety valve. If I don't love it and it doesn't fit, Inner Brat and Current Me agree that it can be donated or discarded.

I do feel better after hearing Mark Carney's talk. The gist is that he's not going to give away the country in exchange for a promise of lowered tariffs that will be jacked right back up despite the agreement. It's not that I don't have confidence in him; it's just that we have made ourselves so vulnerable over the past few decades I wasn't sure that he would be able to avoid crumpling.

Hi, kitkat. MMmmm... soup...
There's nothing better than a friendly lab!

Thanks, helia. The grocery run might do as well for your headache as the pill.
The shower incident was shocking. Years ago, I was shocked to learn that there are people who choose to pee in the shower. This is a whole other level.

I'm glad that DD33 got done and you could get to the dry before the downpour started, L.Ann. :)

LOL, it sounds like Mica has made her choice, Kittykatt, and won't be traumatized if her owners never come back.

Saturday
Cleaned up after dog
Spot-cleaned bathroom floor
Changed Germane’s pee pads
Put on a pot of coffee
15:

Scrambled to find it on my phone. Caught the last few minutes. Tried to watch from the beginning: can’t.

15:
Washed the soaking dishes and dumped the water
Taped up shopping bag with split bottom
Started organizing dirty laundry. I have some things to wash where the colours might run, so need to separate like colours.
Started bag of reds
15:
Picking reds from backside of wardrobe cart. Once they are clean, I can try them on and either wear or donate.
Taped another split bag
The problem with using a sledgehammer to kill a mosquito is that something else gets damaged. Created another hole while taping the first one.
15:
Switched from gorilla tape to duck tape
Taped bag
Finished picking reds and purples from wardrobe cart
Hung the hangers off of granny cart handle to wash the dust off of
Eat my feelings while CUOP. Today’s felt like naan bread with onion yogurt and green pesto as dipping choices.

Here I am... coming up for air. (Way too much to do)

All I can say, helia that men don't get as upset as we do with the kind of issue you described... I don't know why - but it's a fact.
Hope the headache is gone.

Dogged I love how labs lean into you...
Good luck with the sorting. (I'll join you in September)

LAnn - lucky that the rain waited...

We were warned about "Special Weather" with 50 mm rain. We have sunshine:)

Next:
another lol
fill med box with the weekly pills
take down yesterday's purchases for a quick wash
bring hamper upstairs
take down remaining laundry
start soup

Oh, I love the labrador lean, kitkat! Something I miss. On the other hand, I did take Germane out for a carry, and a Maltese is less to carry around when they get old and weak, LOL.

Gma's fancy bread has got me wanting to tinker with a breadmachine recipe. I;m thinking of adding my dried vegetables and some pickled garlic to my parmesan peppercorn recipe. And maybe by the time I'm done setting that up, the washers and one dryer in the laundry room might be free.

Looked up information on getting RSS feed into my EReader
Opened a new cheese from the batch I bought from Costco. It’s one I never tried before, and wow! Is it good! It’s like a milder, less salty parmesan with hints of swiss cheese or jarlburg. Couldn’t find a grater, so used the vegetable peeler on it. May the bread forgive me.
