Blessed, I remember years ago, when we were in the middle.of having our bathroom replaced, and we had also invited a couple over for dinner. At this point, the bathroom had a functioning toilet and bath, but no basin, and no floor! So, I just put a new tablet of soap on a clean soap dish on the edge of the bath, and a clean hand towel and decided the "necessities" were there. :D

Harriet, that is my concern -- that if I stain those seats, it might come off on some unsuspecting guest some day. I should probably just clean the seats as well as I can, and stain the wooden parts of the chairs. Same with the swing -- I don't think I'll try to re-stain the swing, just clean it well.
Isn't there some sort of cleaner especially good for wooden furniture?
The chains... I don't know about covering them -- wouldn't that just be something else to get dirty and collect spider webs and wasp nests? I'll have to check into that. Thanks for the suggestions -- I had never heard of chain covers.
I know nothing is going to be done until the temperatures quit hitting the 90-degree mark every day.
