Thanks for the words of wisdom bw2. I've been feeling off this week because I got obsessed with tracking down the people in the cemetery and have done almost nothing else this week. I even skipped my workout on Thursday. And I have Rosh Hashanah entertaining TWO weeks from today, and two weeks from tomorrow we go to the beach. And I've had a lot of time on my own this week and I'm feeling like I haven't used it well.

And of course, I wake up this a.m. with determination to get things done and we're going to the river in two hours.

Anyway, I have watered all plants and deadheaded geraniums. Swapped positions on either side of sidewalk and rotated 180 degrees to let them flower more evenly. Even added fertilizer. And I'm descaling the coffee maker. Ours is the Keurig duo which will make a pot of coffee or a cup. So I've run vinegar water through to the cup, which is what we usually use. And now I'm doing the other side - the coffee pot - which is rarely used.

Dog is walked and fed. I need to get my brunch and clean up myself...

DD15 made a pan of brownies for breakfast. :? We did take a taste of them (very good). The temptation was there to eat more but If I start my day eating carbs and sugar then the entire day seems to go off the rails. I went with the tried and true (aka boring) breakfast (eggs, bacon, onion, peppers omelet) DH also had a blueberry bagel on his plate.

I'm feeling the desire to create a different configuration for my daily paper and digital trackers. I'm not inspired by them so need to tweak until they seem new and fun again. We are 2 days away from a new month so September seems to be a good time to start with refreshed.

Hmm maybe I need to get those books on kindle app. I definitely need only what applies to right now. And definitely only things with immediate consequences to get started. My simple morning routine is quite stuck in my head . S&s. Laundry. Empty and reload dw. Kitchen. Floors. Up to the dw part gets done every morning almost. Then my days off I get the kitchen all the way and sweep. Then often I stop. Intending on getting to the rooms that need decluttering and finish decorating. End up needing stuff in town. Crochet. Music. Waste time.

I have no evening routine but what the dog demands... well I guess almost. Eat supper too late. Casper eyes tell me it's walk time. Come in and before bed I might put the food away and start the dw. Crash and bed.

I've got to learn that habit stacking with supplements. And physio exercises. Tack them in my permanent routine somewhere. One at a time. I think probably I am not feeling immediate make the discomfort feel better from my physio exercises so I don't want to do them.... I'm being a bit honest here.. I want to feel better but maybe not enough to do things that help.

If I am not careful my day is going to disappear with nothing again 🙃

Habit Stacking is in the link Harriet said and I did sign up for the e-mail course.

This week was the 2 min. rule.
I am redoing my routines A.M & P.M

The book Atomic Habits & work book is in my possession.
I had a copy before but listened to audio book on you tube of it
then gave the book to my DD who got a lot of use out of it.
We are supposed to be doing a book club but are both too busy and
need a non food meeting place.

I'm watering x
sipping lemon tea
as I type and check in .

Did my regular journal stuff and am happy to report I did my weekly Check in.
Next is the monthly re-set and prep before the the next quarter.

Added basement in to zone one this time.

I've created 5 spreadsheets for September using the design that I used this month. I used pen/paper this month on these designs because I didn't know if it would work. They are extremely helpful and are all evolving as time passes and I find ways to tweak them. After a month of using these, it feels worth the effort to create them digitally, making them easy to edit and print each month as needed.

Last year I spent an crazy amount of time and expense to research & purchase the perfect paper planner/journal. I bought several with high hopes that one of them would be THE ONE that worked for me. I have tried using them over the past 8 months, some more than others. However, eventually I gave up trying to fit my way of doing things into their format.

Now I am going as simple as possible and letting it develop as needed.

I was staring at this calendar that I'm using for "Don't break the chain" to track walking at the park. I really didn't want to walk in the heat, but I REALLY didn't want to break the chain and have that unmarked day staring at me for monthsl. So....I walked.

Well I’ve got the same down in the dumps for some of the reasons yall mentioned

However I’ve crawled out of it for the moment. Started with a small clear the kitchen, not clean it. Realized what was missing was some good old hard rock music.

Plugged in my ear plugs so not to disturb Sweetie and off I went.

Have cleaned my kitchen an living area, dusted an scummed the areas and cleaned my couches.. which I haven’t done in a while.

Have 4 loads of laundry washed..3 3dried and folded. Stop for lunch and abt to steam clean my floors

Also did a bit of dancing when no one was watching. Need to crank up the music and start again…

Waving to y’all don’t want to stay too long cause I don’t want to get sidetracked

Cathy, I meant to say yes, it is SO interesting to consider the names of characters in the HP series. Have you ever read Mervyn Peake's Titus trilogy - it is a study in naming of characters. "Swelter", a hulking cook in uncomfortable kitchens, "Sepulchrave", obviously doomed, "Prunesquallor", prim and full of himself, etc. I say trilogy, but Peake didn't say that, and some consider the third book separate.

blessed, I hope she can convince Mothra to maraud elsewhere.

YES!
DH listens to his favorite music almost every morning for a couple of hours. It’s definitely a mood booster!

The good thing about having 3 teenagers in the house.....the pan of brownies quickly disappeared and are no longer tempting me.

I check the 10 day forecast every day in hope of seeing an end to the 100+F temps.
Nope. The next 10 days is showing 102 to 109F daytime temps with 74-76F nighttime temps.
drumming fingers......bored with this....waiting for fall weather to show up.

OMM /
We have blowing dust in our forecast.
Today I have received my new planner.
I have gutted the old one it had notes I was keeping till this one came.
So it looks like old school tax season only instead of financial stuff it's notes.
LOL!

The birds are loving the new bird bath and I"m enjoying watching them use it!

I need 4 sections Body / Mind / Soul and Spirit.
I do not have a calendar in it yet.
I did load dividers for notes and a today marker.

Took a break for lunch.

Now to get back to it. I have sorted what I need.
I am going to get a 2 page per day system undated calendar.

I got AI to help me do a template for food & Rx log
I will write in my wellness journal for that. Might be a be to get it
refined to what I want.

Spirit I'm using my faith Planner and a reflections journal to write out Verse of the day.
Self care is soul not sure yet what I'll put in there.
Mind is learning reading quotes and stuff.

Lists D's BWP etc. will go in it some where. Then hobbies...
I'll check back in when I have some more progress to report.
I do have a few of each of the pages I punched last week in prep. for that.

The book I ordered came it's thick =D. Have not looked at it.
Finical stuff does not go in this one that's separate.

The new planner is like for book club info. at least in one section.
