Gma, that's a great way to get rid of stuff and help people at the same time!
Lauralind, have you figured out how best to make some progress today? I hope the physio is helpful.

It is noon, and I'm finishing lunch. I've been home for about 50 minutes, and the carpet cleaner will be here in 1 hour. I'm kind of lying on the sofa, giving my legs and hips a break. In that time I need to: prep K's room for the carpet cleaner, prep the play room for the carpet cleaner, finish reclaiming the kitchen, make the bed, do back exercises (maybe). Some qt - maybe I'll do this while the carpet cleaner is here working.

Today is also quite scheduled:
8 coffee with AA
10 haircut

1 carpet cleaner guy here
2:50 school pick up
3:20 (or whenever I get there) work out with AS
4 grocery run for last minute items for dinner drop off tonight
prep dinner drop off for dh to take
prep dinner for SP, K, and myself - maybe burgers? and a WF salad?

It's going to be hot today, high of 92*F (33.3C).

Next:
- after lunch clean up + finish reclaiming kitchen
- prep K's room
- prep play room
- back exercises

Later:
- finish moving small furniture for carpet cleaners: SP's room, K's room, play room
- some qt
- strip MBR bed
- load of sheets
- remake MBR bed
- after lunch clean up
- carpet cleaner guy here
- if time: Payroll - start S8 COs
- leave at 2:20ish for school pick up
- dress to work out
- short work out with AS
- WF: odds and ends for dinner tonight + dinner we're bringing to the Rs
- make fresh salad and rice for Rs
- help dh package up the meal for the Rs
- make dinner for SP, K, and myself: grilled sandwiches, WF potato salad?
- after dinner clean up
- bring bins back
- go for a short walk?
- duolingo
- update WW
- update MFP

TaDas!
- up; drinking coffee (skipped the scale - SP was in there)
- dw 1/2 emptied
- email deletions + weather website - high of 92F today
- helped dh move furniture off the living room area rug
- s2s and self care
- squeegee and wipe down shower
- 8 - coffee with AA
- 10 haircut
- home; closed windows and turned on A/C - request of carpet cleaner
- lunch
- SP's room prepped for carpet cleaner

Hello, all. Thank you for starting us off, Kittykatt. And thank you for card-finding vibes. I still expect it to show up sometime, but I will buy a replacement so that I can get on with the laundry. We have rain in our forecast too. I don't have much planned outside, so it will be fine either way. I hope that the rain cooperates for you.

Gma, I hope that you are able to get the air conditioning fixed before you and your dsis3 have to go back up in the attic. WTG on all of your progress.

That was a busy afternoon, helia. And another busy one today. I hope that it all goes well, and that you are able to get the rooms ready for the carpet cleaner before they arrive.

Lauralind, that does sound overwhelming. But you can only do as much as you can do. I think that work is one place t set your boundaries. If other people don't show up, you don't turn into three people to do the work of three. Do your hours at a speed that protects your body and either the managers can pitch in or the rest gets left for tomorrow's shift.

Well first off I have to see about getting ds to decide or at least feel out the school topic. Go see if I can engage him. Should go shopping before my appointment. I think it is 12. The text will remind me soon. So chat with ds. Call school and start something. Make grocery list.. dd has I think gone shopping trying to keep moving maybe baby will come sooner πŸ˜†.

Well mostly I do do that at work doggedly. I had to fill in service desk in the early part cause no one was there for it but my job is recieving. And morning was quiet. So one big return and did what I could receive. Killed a little time till my manager partner receiver came late shift cause I needed him to move stuff too high for me. He has so many other things to do that it often takes a while before he's ready to stay helping but he gets it where I can work. The rest sat there waiting and left a mess of freight waiting for today . Even though we forklifted a lot upstairs πŸ˜†. Too bad . I did my job. He'll finish today.

Done

Laundry washed
Sweep everywhere
Send garbage out with dh
Wash pans and wipe counters
Text dd

Next

Physio exercises
Engage ds???
Call school??
Fold laundry reboot
Grocery shopping

Lauralind, I hope that your ds is the mood to engage and look at his courses. I understand that this is hard for you all.

I am so frustrated about the laundry! It keeps happening week after week that the laundry room on my floor is already in use, and we are missing elevators which makes it unrealistic for me to go from floor to floor with a hotel-sized laundry cart. It has put me seriously behind on laundry, coming up to my vacation. And I can't just power through it all as I don't have enough space in the apartment to hang more than two loads to finish drying. Last night my laundry room was free, I had my laundry card out, I was ready to move out the laundry cart, and Germane woke up so I walked her first. When I came back, I had no laundry card so spent the evening wasting time and energy looking for it. It was too late to start laundry, so I left it for toady. Today I went to the basement and bought a new laundry card and loaded it. We have only one functioning elevator, so I can't move the laundry cart to another floor. Both washers and dryers on my floor are running, so there's already a backlog on my floor. So once again, I can't do laundry. I don't have any security that I will be able to do it before vacation. A while back, I looked into laundry service, and I think that I'm going to have to look into that again.

Hi, L.Ann.

Hello everyone!

Helia, we had rain this morning, and then it became hot and super humid, so not much done outside today, apart from a little dead heading in my front garden.

Laura, I hope the physio is helpful. When is DD's baby due?

That's a lot of errands, L.Ann!

Dogged, my DF E uses a laundry service and is very pleased (that may be partly due to the very personable Julio who collects and delivers! )

Today was somewhat "bitty". I spent the best part of an hour on the phone to Royal Mail this morning about a parcel that was supposed to be delivered on Saturday, but still hadn't shown up. Fortunately, the operative was able to message the local delivery centre and tell them to get a move on.

I've also ordered a few bits and pieces from Amazon, including some wood stain for the garage door - I've been intending to paint this all summer, but in the middle of a heatwave is not a good idea. We're bound to have some reasonable weather sometime in September, so I'll be all ready. And Jude and Matilda have both had a nail clip,.a good brush and their flea control. Jude has also had her laxapet. Now, neither of them is speaking to me!

That is good to hear, Kittykatt. The gentleman on the phone was certainly pleasant to deal with. They seem to have the process for apartment buildings down pat. They'll take one bag off of me tomorrow and bring it back on Saturday. In the meantime, I'm doing three loads which will be hang drying in my apartment. It's still going to be tight for packing.
I think that you are wise to leave the painting for cooler weather.
You make me feel better about Germane not appreciating what I do for her. Like your cats, it's not the service that she would choose.

Hi, L.Ann.

Wednesday
Gave Germane her heart pill
Spiffed self
Tried on a top and returned it to wardrobe rack
Brought a bag of garbage to basement
Bought new laundry card
Checked rooms: my floor has all machines in use.
Only one elevator is available, so I can’t take my laundry cart to other floors
Breakfast for Germane
Looked into laundry services.
Booked a pickup for tomorrow.
Checked laundry room again
Started two loads of laundry
Put down paper towels where Germane peed, to blot
Flipped laundry
Started a 3rd load of delicates only, as both dryers will be in use
Found spots for the hang dry laundry

Next up:
Clean up after Germane
Back to the laundry room
