working in laundry room today - dh put the different kitchen things on the top shelf - I am shorter - so this short person just took them down and put them where I can reach. (need to put the ladder away)

Re: Try to have a Labour free Labor Day!!
Happy Labor Day everyone
Have just been getting groceries in. All put away now.
Have checked the cardfile for the week and made out my planner pages.
Vacuum cannister is dumped and the hose cleared of an obstruction, so I have some vacuuming I can get back to.
blessed, I'm joining you in getting items closer to where I use them.
It's "office or other room" Focus cleaning this week, with closet declutter. So, I'm kind of in both the office and the mud room, which is definitely my "other", lol. Closet boxes have my decluttering attention.
A drawer in office plus one of those boxes are my Declutter for today. Had a little brainstorm that much of what's in that box can come to the drawer and be more "at hand", and some of what's in the drawer can really be tossed or donated. Hopeful.
Very open to Cathy's suggestion of a nap, not because I can see the reason why so much as feel the need.
But... .. I think we just saw ds' family return from weekend mini-vacation, and dgdC may come by for her book.

Re: Try to have a Labour free Labor Day!!
Did hunt up some random this and that odds & ends of wood scrap for neighbors crafting projects.
Sign making is on her mind, her hubby has made a wood shop.
I spot mopped in the kitchen after tracking in mud, after I pulled some weeds.
Got food from the freezer in the basement for meals today.
Put away planners.
Scheduled vids. I took today on our walk to go up later in the week.
Made the bed.
I have to take cookies down stair to basement freezer. X
Wash hair at some point today. X
Got my steps in for today at 10:00 a.m. yea!.
Had my lunch.
Waving!

I had a wonderfully hot shower this morning and then I got into bed and read for a while. Then I napped!
Now I have to turn on the dishwasher and do last night's pot that has been soaking since supper time last night.

Re: Try to have a Labour free Labor Day!!
First break....I have most of a.m. routine done. Dh walked dog so I crossed it off. I'll walk her this afternoon. Thankfully, it's cooler. I'm finding several things that I missed on grocery list yesterday and then I couldn't find unsweet bakers chocolate on the Publix instacart site, so I may need a trip to the store...or I could instacart from another store...
I did get a lot done.
-monitored roomba which was spending a lot of time in one corner
-made bed
-started laundry
-cleaned up the island, washed dishes there, things from this a.m. and last night and wiped down island
-did some refrigerator/garage management
I'm amazed that ddog is still outside. She's sleeping on the porch.
I will go again for 45 minutes, if I had the baker's chocolate this would be a good day to go ahead and make those brownies for the reception at temple on Friday night...
I also got the "September" divider in my planner and took out July. It seems like I just put the divider in for August a day or two ago..
I did not post this earlier!
Anyway, I worked another 45 min. Some on calendering, rebooted laundry, garage refrigerator management, a little bit of a lot of things. Started dishwasher with rack from warming oven which is dusty...
Once I have my break I'm going to check on ddog.

Re: Try to have a Labour free Labor Day!!
Yesterday I placed 3 online grocery orders. Two of the orders will be shipped to us. The 3rd order has fresh & frozen foods so will be curbside pickup. DD51 has volunteered to get it and deliver it to us when she brings DD15 and Astra back here. I am so very pleased that DD15 got to spend the weekend with DD51. I am eager to hear how the visit from her online Texas friend went. I've seen pictures but haven't heard the details.
The 10 day forecast is finally showing some relief. 8 days from now it is showing 92F as the high. Finally we will drop below the triple digits!! But we still have to get through the next 7 days of 100+ heat & bone-dry weather. Given a choice of rain or less heat, I would choose rain. However, receiving moisture isn't in our forecast ....yet.
DS18 is cleaning out a coworker shop and selling all the stuff online. He made $150 yesterday mowing the coworker yard (took about 15 minutes with zero turn mower). DS18 has no intention of taking a day off. Even when he isn't scheduled to work at his job, he finds something to do. He is excited about his projects and doesn't want to stop.

Re: Try to have a Labour free Labor Day!!
I have continued working in laundry room.
I did a lot of putting like things together, tossing, donating etc. from the shelves Even though I continued to work, I can see the underneath needs a really good washing down - shelves and walls alike; it won't happen today!
so dirty!
other laundry room work
swept in-between and under washer and dryer
vacuumed vent in floor
dusted under shelves
moved things and cleaned surface, wall vent, walls, shelves
dusted and vacuumed under sink
put moms boost on the shelf
I should do kitchen weeklies/monthlies but maybe ill finish laundry room weeklies instead:
-clean outside of washer and dryer
-clean sink
-clean door to garage
-vacuum floor and rinse floor (not by hand)
-clean dog prints as one dog rubs against the wall all the time
-clean finger prints -
dd had d mom walk to the outdoors - she did it!!! so chipper!!! dd is good for d mom!
