Good morning Ladies! Thanks for the start!
I'm back but have not CUOP-ed. Took a couple of weeks off with my (whole) family. Time to get back to basics...
Kids are starting school... I'm getting appliance guy to fix my dryer today. (Came home to a dead dryer - with piles of laundry waiting to be done...)

I'm off to feed pup (who has been out already)
take my meds
go to Dkids to do our traditional French braid for the first day.
back to check in with dfriend and hopefully, deal with appliance repairman.

Thank you for starting us off, trissie, and for that glimpse into a very sad time in history and a poet's life.

Yay for a break from cooking a meal, Kittykatt. I have always been impressed with how much you can type on your phone. I still find it cumbersome, and always do my longer posts from the computer. Though I'm glad that we are past the days of having to type A,A,A to get the letter C to appear on our screens, LOL.
I like your SHEM. It's a good one to remember.

Have a safe and comfortable trip, Gma. My days of the two-day drive are over. Just the drive to my db's house is enough to cause pretty sharp pain in my leg. Because I rent cars so I am driving different models, I know that it's not the particular seat that is my problem.

Today's big important goal is to count Germane's pills and get an order in so that we have them before we leave.

No, thankfully, our area was not affected. I was horrified by the photos/videos what I saw... Friends were texting, checking on us...
I was texting Dneighbour and was reassured our house ws stil standing...

Getting a bit frustrated - have not heard from appliance guy... I foolishly did another lol, assuming he'd be here... and, able to fix the dryer...
Did my girls' hair:) They went off happily to school...

I'm glad that the storm passed you over, kitkat. We just had a gentle rain here while that was going on.
I've been fine. Germane is showing a little more senility but is mostly happy and comfortable. My current project is to get ready for my trip to my db's house next week.

LAnn is that a trip to DD? I loved Whistler! Did you? What is your current book? I'm reading one by Erich Kastner. (Not very well known in North America but good.)

No luck with dryer...
Time to get a new one. (I jinxed it when I did another load...)
I might be shopping today or tomorrow. (We just got a washer in March. I did not buy a matching one as dryers don't break down that often...)
I have a spaghetti squash baking in the oven...
