Dd is improving.
Both cars were totaled.
------
I went outside for a show walk around the back yard.
Heard a wood pecker, then got a vid. of it from my yt channel.
It flew off after I filmed it.
I processed the mail.
Had a tom. salad I spiffed up the kitchen again.
I have emptied H. P. covers and dividers out of a couple of drawers to sort and
decide to keep or not, as I'm changing to diff ones as they are not available in my town and I'm
having a challenge in finding them on-line, in the quality I like.

So wishing there were a spreadsheet to track my life these days, LadyM. I feel like I'm resurfacing, just to get bogged down again.
We had a great time entertaining on Saturday for Rosh Hashanah and being with friends for the new year. Many, knowing we were going away, helped with clean up too. Sunday morning early we packed and were on the road at 9:30. We arrived here around four, but not into our condo until closer to five. A and V arrived just after we were into the condo. We changed and were all out to dinner quickly.
I'm feeling pretty exhausted just to have survived. V feels the same way - she had dinner for her family on Friday night, attended services, came to our house, helped clean up, and she and A went home to pack also. She slept later than I did this a.m. - dh came through to use the bathroom so I got up around nine a.m.
Had several emails to answer and phone calls to make this a.m. and it made me very cranky, in addition to dh and A chatting loudly about investments all morning. A and V went out grocery shopping and DH liquor hunting so it's finally quiet this afternoon, and I've crossed off DPCs off my list.
We're disappointed to be so far from the beach. We're at a different Marriott property and they tell us that dh booked us on the "Garden side" which is a long way from the beach itself. Whatever.

Ramblin', so glad you were able to come in and navigate around here and post in H & F - good job on progress. Enjoy installing the stepping stones for the muddy spot. They can be so attractive.
Missing some of our dear friends ... ..
blessed had a little trouble getting in - I'm hoping when she tries later she'll find it isn't a problem like Kittykatt and helia, who got back.
Twins', now you can start to unwind. Sorry it's a long walk to the beach, but morning walks there would be nice, at least.
LadyM, I agree with you that time spent tweaking our cards is always valuable, even if we are just learning why we don't like something as well.

I have done some more rounds and enjoyed the sunshine after yesterday's storms.
Got a branch out of the roses with a 4 tine rake thing.
Trash can held all the suckers I pruned off Sat. yea!
Cleaned up kitchen after lunch.
Tied up a tomato & got a cutting of it and the scented geranium too.
Emptied out the containers that held water from the rains we got.
Scattered some flowers seeds for next year.
Had dinner & washed up my plate.
Cleared off my bed and got more blankets on it as it's cooler at night here.
That's all I can think of for now.

Cathy - Is everything alright? I'm missing your posts. Did you decide on the book names to use?
It takes time to get all the plates spinning again after taking a day off. I'm pleased at the progress made today.
Interstitial journaling continues to be helpful. It is so simple of a one liner journal entry to have such a positive impact. Write time down and what I've done since the last time. Staying aware of time and activity brings a closure to each time segment in ways that is hard to explain.

Thinking of Lauralind, who had said on Saturday when she last posted that her grandchild's birth was several days past expected date. Wondering if they have had an exciting moment.
Thanks for that explanation of the type of journaling, LadyM.
Yes, waving hello to Cathy when she can check on us.
Hi to lucylee. I don't think getting the children up in the night is so bad! You were trying to help.
The closet in the master bathroom will be Focus cleaning this week more than other closets. Have cleaned some in the master bathroom generally today, since it is my never-reach-a-finish room, lol.
The 3 laundry loads are put away. Another readied for tomorrow. Some of these are small. Decluttering this week is in Laundry area getting ready for cleaning next week.
A little work today toward recycling and trash, which will be a big push tomorrow.
The appt this week turns out to be Thursday instead. It is at a distance.
